Got off to a slow start this new year with all the snow delays, illnesses, and other random life events that just sucked up all my time. But I finally managed to find enough time to actually sit down and start writing and drawing my creator-owned projects.

I’ve been jumping between Skybourne and World of Payne projects the last several days which is just blissful. I even managed to finish one full page of Skybourne this weekend. Nothing like scratching an itch you wanted to scratch since Thanksgiving. Hopefully I can keep going and get several more days without any family commitments, weather delays or other random life’s curve balls that will keep me from my drawing desk.

Well, enough talk. I want to lay out couple more pages before I call it a night. Here’s to brighter and PRODUCTIVE new year.

Inkhead Strikes!

Cripes. Out of the frying pan and into the fire. I expected a bit more down time after the hectic holiday break but it looks like I have to hit the floor running on this new year.

I’m currently in process of finishing up several projects including “Inkhead”, pictured above, so that I can open up my schedule for a massive project in March. Something I didn’t count on but too good to pass up. It’s still in its infancy and I may not get the job, but if I do sign up for the project, it’ll definitely will be an interesting and exciting one.

After a long negotiation with Dynamite Entertainment, my co-creator, Doug Murray, and I will finish the final story arc of the Jungle Girl saga. Doug and I have outlined the story, and we’ve selected a new up-and-comer artist for the art duties. I’ll be doing the covers. More info later.
