R.L. LaFevers (Robin Lorraine when she’s in really big trouble) grew up surrounded by shelves of old dusty books and a passel of brothers. She has also spent a large portion of her life being told she was making up things that weren’t there, which only proves she was destined to write fiction. She is the author of over fourteen books for young readers, including THEODOSIA AND THE SERPENTS OF CHAOS, (Houghton Mifflin, 2007) which received starred reviews and was a Junior Library Guild selection, a Booksense Summer Pick, and nominated for the Malice Domestic’s Agatha Award, and the NATHANIEL FLUDD, BEASTOLOGIST series. As I wrote Dark Triumph, I wanted to be sure and populate the book with some of the colorful characters from the Middle Ages that I had come across in my research, and yet it had to feel organic to the story and not wedged in there.

Beth  (YA Books Central) I am about to start Grave Mercy and read Dark Triumph right behind it! I have heard SO many amazing things!! I absolutely cant wait!!!!!


Amanda I just finished Grave Mercy yesterday, and it was so amazing! :) I can't wait to read the sequel and see Sybella's side of the story. I was so curious about her in this one. Thanks for writing such an awesome book! Also, have you ever read Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder? In some small ways Grave Mercy reminded me of it.
