Gridless Boilerplate
This has all the right buzzwords in the sales pitch — responsive, HTML5/CSS3, vertical rhythm, CSS normalization, and the like. The only snafu I see is that the placeholder image on the demo page isn't responsive. I'll trust that isn't indicative of the rest of the framework, though I admit I haven't dived into the code too deeply.

Pi
Another Twixtor-hacked video. And I like it. The color grading and text/line effects are fantastic, as well (especially at 02:11).
Produced by Thomas Blanchard and shot with a Canon 550D (and parts with a longboard, if my limited French served me well while reading the comments).
Dropbox Etiquette
Stu Maschwitz:
[W]hen you share files via Dropbox, you're sharing what many people consider to be their most personal living space. Dropbox is wonderful, but there's a slippery slope from collaboration Utopia to file frat house. Be a good Dropbox roommate.

Contest Ends Friday, and Hosting Happiness
I can't wait to give these away (Apple guidelines duly noted).
The boxes above have been in my office for more than a month. This Friday at midnight Eastern time the Authentic Jobs Touchscreen Tussle contest ends, and shortly after an iPad 2 with (RED)™ Smart Cover will be awarded to three of you. I hope it's you. And you and you.
The photos you see on the Tussle mini-site were taken with one of these iPads. Here's the untouched version of one of those photos, and another photo showing the engraved back.
Happily Hosted by Happy Cog
I have, regrettably, failed to publicly thank Happy Cog Hosting for servicing Authentic Jobs. Their uptime has been impeccable, and having savvy individuals at our service has been abundantly pleasant. I can truthfully say this is by far the best experience I've had in more than a decade of hosting websites. If I could give away hosting as part of the contest, I'd award all of you an account.
Alas, follow the instructions on the contest site and I hope you'll settle for an iPad. (The white/red combination looks quite nice, does it not?)
HTML Email Boilerplate
Tables for layout are lame, but they really are the only way to reliably craft HTML emails (currently). View source on the HTML email I sent recently and you'll see markup similar to that of Sean Powell's boilerplate. (I prefer only one td as a single wrapper rather than individual cells for the layout — divs can usually handle that just fine.)
Update: Some of you have mentioned that the Authentic Jobs email I linked to doesn't display nicely in Outlook 2007 or 2010 (screenshot). For the most part, I'm okay with those three items being stacked rather than in a row. However, if having your HTML email appear as similar as possible across all clients (which is still virtually impossible today), table cells are really the only way to go.
What Safari's Reading List Means for Instapaper
Marco Arment:
Our world changes quickly, especially on the cutting edge, and I really don't know what's going to happen. (Nobody does.) But the more potential scenarios I consider, the more likely it seems that Safari's Reading List is either going to have no noticeable effect on Instapaper, or it will improve sales dramatically. Time will tell.
WWDC 2011: Everything in One Handy List
A list by Nancy Messieh for those of us who missed yesterday's Apple keynote. I opted to not watch the keynote and spare myself a couple hours of work time. Since then, I've probably spent at least an hour trying to find and digest all the announcements I missed. I'm not convinced skipping the keynote really saved me any time. (The keynote video is also available. All 117 minutes of it.)

Manhattan in Motion
If this plays slowly for you, too, it's probably because it's getting hammered with traffic. Timelapse slider shots accomplished with a Stage Zero Dolly.
