Guest Article- Who am I and where did I go?” A Woman’s Guide to Finding Herself Again After Divorce
I found this great article about divorce and what you should do as a women if you are facing a divorce. I am struggling with my marriage. Sometimes I just want to give up, but I don’t want it to end like this. If you are having a hard time with your marriage and divorce seems inevitable read this great article by Patti Handy.
by Patti Handy
I remember it vividly. It was shortly after my divorce attorney told me my divorce was final and the highly emotional state had calmed a bit. Although it did not happen suddenly, the realization hit me like a slap in the face. I didn’t know who I was.
The I that I was looking for had been pushed aside for years, by me. I take total responsibility for it, I own it. That was the good part, because I knew it was in my power to get it back and so can you.
Like most women, we tend to put our husband and family’s needs ahead of our own needs. Sometimes we actually think we are being selfish if we do something for ourselves. I won’t speak for all women, but I would imagine that most women feel this way. We are caretakers, peacemakers, planners, organizers, chauffeurs, chefs and the list goes on. I must admit that I loved being all those things, but what I didn’t realize was that I neglected my own needs in the process. I was at the point where I couldn’t define ‘my needs’.
So, what do you do if you are in this same, or similar, state? You take back your life, one day at a time. You love and adore yourself the way you adore others. You feed your physical body with attention; you start exercising, eating better, getting massages, facials, manicures or whatever pampering you enjoy. You feed your emotions by being gentle with yourself, making lunch dates with friends, finding a new hobby or getting back to an old hobby or sport. Read motivational books that fill your mind and heart with inspiration and hope. Feed your spirit by praying, meditating or finding a higher power that touches you. Find quiet time to just listen to your heart and calm the busy, racing mind. Each day do something just for you, even if for 10 minutes. I encourage you to take some time and write down your needs. What feeds you emotionally, physically, financially and spiritually?
At first, you may feel guilty by doing this because it takes time away from the kids or other obligations. Please realize that you can’t give to others what you don’t have yourself. You must be happy, at peace and leading the life you deserve to be whom you want to be. If you need to, look at it this way…you aren’t being fair to your children or family if you don’t take good care of yourself. Ouch, did that one hurt? Sorry, but some of us (me included) can get stuck in our old ways.
This will come slowly, but if you do something daily that feeds you , a wonderful transformation will happen. You will radiate a sense of calm, happiness and fulfillment. What better gift to give yourself and to the ones you love!

Signs and Symptoms of TMJ
Millions of American adults are afflicted by constant facial pain, ranging from jaw pain to earaches or headaches. The source of these headaches and aches may be linked to either or both of two temporomandibular joints (TMJ), which are located below the upper mandible.
The TMJ is located in the top of the jaw behind the ear. The jaw muscles that support the lower jaw rotate the upper jaw in an upward fashion to create space for the upper teeth. This means that when a person experiences an upset bite, he or she often suffers with a popping or clicking noise that is heard throughout the head. These types of noises may be a result of TMJ pain caused by a dislocated jaw joint, muscle spasms, or jaw disorders.
Common symptoms include pain in the neck or upper back, ear pain or tinnitus, headaches, nausea, and vomiting. If you notice these symptoms, you should visit a medical professional immediately. Otherwise, they can worsen your TMJ pain if not treated appropriately.
There are a number of possible causes for TMJ pain. A dislocated jaw joint is probably the most common reason behind the pain that people experience. When a joint becomes loose and cannot be kept closed, it will tend to become irritated and swollen, causing pain. If a person has jaw disorders or an injured jaw bone, they are more likely to suffer from TMJ pain.
Another very common reason why a person may suffer from TMJ pain is due to temporomandibular joint disorders. These types of disorders usually involve two bones in the joint – the temporomandibular and the mandible. When these bones become misaligned, pain and tenderness can occur around the joint.
TMJ pain can also be caused by jaw misalignment. Injuries and muscle spasms can cause muscle tightness in the jaw that results in pain.
Some experts believe that TMJ pain is a result of the body’s natural defense mechanism to protect itself from any sudden change in direction in movement. When a person has pain and numbness around the joint, this is a signal that there is something wrong with his or her facial movements or with the jaw itself.
So, if you’re experiencing TMJ pain, talk to your doctor immediately. He or she may be able to diagnose your problem and prescribe some relief to you.
But, even if your doctor prescribes some medicine, don’t be afraid to experiment with different methods in treating TMJ pain. Many doctors will tell you to try using different techniques in relieving TMJ pain. Some of these methods can include taking hot and cold compresses, applying ice to the affected area, or applying anti-inflammatory medications.
If none of these methods seems to work, then your doctor may recommend a certain treatment. But, the doctor may not be able to prescribe a medication that is effective for everyone. In this case, you can opt to use alternative treatments like acupuncture, massage therapy, or surgery.
There are also many different types of exercises that can be done at home to ease the pain and tension that are caused by TMJ pain. Yoga, tai chi, and deep breathing can also help relieve the stress and tension that can cause pain.
There are also a variety of relaxation exercises that can help. By exercising and meditating, you can make your body feel less tense and relax and increase the flow of blood to the muscles in your face. You may be surprised to find out that these types of exercises may actually reduce TMJ pain.
It is also a good idea to try doing exercise in a swimming pool or gym. Because water exercises can really stretch the muscles and joints, they can actually help to loosen and ease up tight muscles.
But, if your TMJ is causing you pain even after you’ve tried all the treatments that your doctor has prescribed, it’s a good idea to seek the help of a chiropractor. Chances are good that he or she will perform some of the basic tests that can determine the problem and get rid of the condition. TMJ pain.
Remember, when trying out new treatments, always talk to your doctor first before deciding on a treatment option. Make sure that you understand the risks and benefits of any treatment options that you are considering.

How to Chose the Right Daycare for your Child

If you recently had your first baby you might be thinking about going back to work and finding a good quality daycare for your child. Or, maybe you moved and are searching for a new daycare. Here are some tips on how to find a quality center.
1. Check the teacher/child ratios for each age. Make sure there is one teacher/staff member for every three infants between 6mos and 18mos; 1:4 for children ages 18mos to 2; 1:7 for 2-3-year-olds.
2. Look for small class sizes. The daycare center should have a maximum of six infants per class; eight 18-24-month-olds, and fourteen 2-3-year-olds.
3. Make sure every staff member is certified. All the teachers and administrators should be certified or have a degree in early childhood education or early childhood development.
4. Take a tour and find out if you like the place. Look around and answer these questions. Do the kids look happy? Are infants sleeping on their backs, and older kids being supervised? Would you feel confidant leaving your child there? Do you have a good feeling after leaving?

Is Bariatric or Weight Loss Surgery Right for You?
If you have been struggling with you weight for some time and it is affecting your overall health, Bariatric surgery, also known as weight loss surgery might be the right option for you.
What is Bariatric surgery? According to Wikipedia “Bariatric surgery, also known as weight loss surgery, refers to the various surgical procedures performed to treat obesity by modification of the gastrointestinal tract to reduce nutrient intake and/or absorption. The term does not include procedures for surgical removal of body fat such as liposuction or abdominoplasty.” This surgery is only recommended for individuals who are unable to achieve significant weight loss through diet and exercise.
According to the American College of Physicians “Surgery should be considered as a treatment option for patients with a BMI of 40 kg/m or greater who instituted but failed an adequate exercise and diet program (with or without adjunctive drug therapy) and who present with obesity-related comorbid conditions, such as hypertension, impaired glucose tolerance, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, and obstructive sleep apnea. A doctor–patient discussion of surgical options should include the long-term side effects, such as possible need for reoperation, gall bladder disease, and malabsorption.”
One method of Bariatric surgery when the doctor inserts an adjustable gastric band. Gastric Banding Surgery or more commonly known as the lap band, or Gastric Band can be performed laparoscopically. The placement of this band over the stomach causes a small pouch to form which can only hold approximately 30 ml. of food. This pouch fills quickly resulting in the patient’s stomach feeling fuller. This message is transferred to the brain and the patient doesn’t eat as much. The long term effect of eating less is weight loss.
If you are considering this type of surgery talk to your doctor first. With any surgery there are risks. You doctor can explain all the pros and cons of gastric banding surgery. Visit Lap Band Toronto for more information on this topic.

What is Cellulose?
Many people have heard of cellulose. Cellulose is a fibrous organic substance with the exact composition of plant cell walls, and it is composed mainly of collagen, elastin, and polymer-like fibers.
It is this structure that makes up our skin’s surface and makes it smooth, flexible, and wrinkle free. Cellulose can be found in both animals and plants, but it is most abundant in plants. In fact, if all plant cells were converted into cellulose, we would have an entire forest of new trees. It is only naturally present in animal tissues such as milk, bones, and wool.
Cellulose provides a protective covering over the skin, keeping it smooth and wrinkle free. It also aids in the absorption of water, preventing sweating and drying of the skin.
The cellular structure of cellulose gives it the ability to absorb moisture and retain its shape and appearance. As a result, cellulose is a very important component of healthy skin and can help prevent damage to the cells by excessive perspiration and heat.
However, there is a large part of us who have no use for cellulose. This is especially true of older people who are more likely to develop skin disorders. They may not even know it but cellulose is a major contributor to wrinkling, which can lead to sagging that is hard to remedy.
Diet is often a major cause of wrinkle formation and skin damage. Even though most people recognize that excess weight and lack of exercise can have a profound effect on their appearance and skin condition, very few individuals are aware that they can make these problems even worse.
The foods you eat can help to contribute to your appearance and skin health, but they can also set you up for further problems if you choose bad habits. It is easy to get hooked on junk food and overeat, and many individuals have an addiction to fatty foods. While they are often delicious fatty foods tend to add weight to the body and may even contribute to high blood pressure and heart disease. By combining eating these foods with poor exercise, you may be setting yourself up for even greater skin problems.
So, if you do want to fight off the effects of cellulose, the good news is that there are ways to do so. The first step is to learn about the source and understand how cellulose occurs, and to get some quality information on how to combat it.
Once you have learned how cellulose affects your skin health and has determined that you do not have a problem with it, you may want to try a number of different methods to combat this problem. The first thing you can do is find a company that offers some kind of cellulose-reduction cream.
Creams can be used to help reduce cellulose and other signs of aging by penetrating the skin deep enough to get into the cells and begin the process of removing them. Some companies make creams that can help to diminish wrinkles and fine lines. Others can work to reduce puffiness and reduce dark spots.
Before you begin using cellulose reduction cream, be sure to check with your dermatologist to make sure that it will be safe. Generally, any type of cream that contains Vitamin E is generally safe for use in the face and neck area, but it is best to avoid creams containing parabens.
Skin care is also important. You should not only be concerned about the appearance of your skin but also about the overall health of it.
In order to remove cellulose safely, it is important to avoid using creams that contain harsh chemicals like peroxide or salicylic acid. These products can leave streaks and discolorations behind that may require more maintenance than necessary. Many experts also recommend moisturizers that have anti-bacterial components.

Colloidal Silver for Skin Care
by LouAnn Moss
There is much controversy about the effects of colloidal silver when taken internally. Some people are convinced that it is a safe drug, while others are not. What does this treatment have to offer your skin?
One of the best things about colloidal silver is that it can help relieve many skin conditions. Many of these conditions are very serious and can even result in death. There is also a risk of serious complications if you do not treat the conditions in time. Many medical uses of colloidal silver come from its ability to kill bacteria and to improve skin health. The medical uses for colloidal silver are far too numerous to list.
One of the most common uses of colloidal silver is as an antibacterial agent. It is also used to treat wounds and burns. It can be added to anti-inflammatory creams or applied directly to irritated skin.
Colloidal silver has also been shown to improve skin’s health. Many dermatologists use silver to treat eczema. Eczema is an inflamed rash of the skin that usually starts on the elbows or knees. Eczema symptoms can include itchy skin, redness, thickening, blistering, bleeding, and cracking of skin. People who have chronic or recurring eczema may benefit from colloidal silver.
The skin in people with psoriasis is sensitive and can be damaged by many other chemicals in the environment. Colloidal silver can help heal and make the skin more smooth. Colloidal silver can also help reduce the itching caused by psoriasis. Colloidal silver can be added to bath water for better results. A cotton ball or cotton balls soaked in colloidal silver can be put in hot water and left on the skin until the water runs out.
Some eczema is hereditary and cannot be cured with home treatments. Colloidal silver can treat serious cases of psoriasis. When taken internally, it is also known to help stop itching and redness in eczema. Some eczema patients may suffer from extreme dryness.
Some skin conditions colloidal silver can help with our acne, scars, eczema, ringworm, blisters, and even eczema that are on the scalp or in the hair. Acne is often caused by stress, infection, hormones, or an overactive immune system. It can be treated with topical medications. If there is no medication available that treats the condition, colloidal silver can be used as a moisturizer.
Many natural remedies have been developed which do not have side effects. One such example of a natural remedy is tea tree oil. You can apply the oil on any area of your body or skin, where the symptoms of an infection are present. The oil will help the infection by killing the fungus causing the symptoms.
You may also want to try some natural remedies that are safe and cheap. For instance you can try drinking warm milk. You can add a teaspoon of honey to the milk and drink it regularly.
Another natural remedy that can be found in the home is colloidal silver. Colloidal silver can be added to your bath water or applied directly to the skin in an application kit. It can be used on any area of the body that is affected by an infection or eczema.
Many natural remedies can be found in the comfort of your own home. Many of them can be bought at a local store but there are many recipes available online as well. Many of these recipes can be very expensive and so finding these recipes is a great alternative.
When buying colloidal silver products you must always read the labels. Some products are for external use only and others are for internal use only. Some products that contain colloidal silver are only effective for external use and not for internal use. It is important to follow the directions on the label to the last letter.

Health Benefits of Nutmeg
by LouAnn Moss
Nutmeg has been used for many years in the Philippines and other parts of Asia as a natural antibiotic, antiseptic, astringent, and stimulant. The plant that contains this spice is Myristica fragrans, which is actually the ground seed of the Myristica nigrum plant. This plant grows wild all over the Philippines and is a very important crop.
Myristica fragrans has a large, dark-brown tree that is known for it’s medicinal properties. It can be used for various skin conditions ranging from insect bites to skin ulcers and burns. Myristica frutescens is a very sweet evergreen plant that grows wild on plantations, fields, and plains in the Philippines and other tropical parts of Asia.
Mace is another spice commonly used in the Philippines. Mace is used to treat wounds caused by insects and fungal infections. When mixed with water and applied to the wound, it can relieve pain and reduce swelling. It also relieves itching and irritation caused by insect bites and skin rashes.
Nutmeg and mace are not the same thing; they are usually sold together in the local market or in pharmacies. Nutmeg is used to spice up meals and dishes. However, it is considered one of the most aromatic spices, while mace is used mainly for medicinal purposes.
Both these spices are commonly found in the Philippines, but they are often added to popular natural remedies such as coconut oil, honey, and garlic as a cure-all. While nutmeg is good for you, it may not be so good for the skin. This is because when consumed, it is absorbed into the blood system, causing it to produce natural inflammation chemicals, which cause redness and swelling.
If you have allergies, using this spice can cause allergic reactions. It is recommended that people with this condition to stay away from it. However, for the rest of us, it can be a useful addition to our diet.
Nutmeg has many other health benefits; in fact, it is considered to be very beneficial to the heart, liver, and the circulatory system. It can also help to fight infection and relieve congestion.
There are several ways in which it can be taken to treat skin infections such as the common staph infection of the skin, herpes, and genital herpes. Skin abrasions caused by ringworm can also be treated with this spice.
Some people also believe that nutmeg can be used to relieve depression, especially when mixed with some herbs. This mixture can be taken as tea and the effects of the herb on the person can be felt immediately. In addition to this, it is often used as a tea remedy for people with depression because it can calm the nervous system.
Many people also drink nutmeg in order to lower their blood pressure. This is because they believe it increases the oxygen in the blood and reduces blood pressure. However, there is little proof that this works.
Nutmeg powder has also been known to help with diabetes. People who suffer from diabetes may find that they have trouble controlling their blood sugar levels.
For people suffering from acne, this spice is used as a topical treatment. It is very effective in the treatment of acne, especially in the case of blackheads.
However, it is important to note that nutmeg should never be used on the lips. For external use, such as on food or drinks, it can burn, making them discolored and burning. People who are allergic to nuts should avoid taking it.
Some people also use it to lower their cholesterol, especially if they have high blood pressure. This is because it lowers cholesterol in your body.
People notice that the taste of nutmeg is bitter, but this doesn’t bother most people. It can also make an excellent after-meal snack or for people who enjoy chocolate or other strong flavors.
When using nutmeg for a healing purpose, you should never take too much or too little. and should use only a small amount in the form of powder. This will help to prevent side effects.

Three Delicious Ways to Prepare Veggies for Your Fall Menu
The seasons are changing and so have people’s eating habits, according to a survey my company conducted earlier this year. This global survey included 2000 American respondents, and found that 47% of them have shifted towards a plant-based diet during the pandemic.
While I’m always a champion of ensuring you have plenty of veggies on the table, now more than ever, it seems like veggies may be in high demand this holiday season. To help you prepare nutritious vegetables for your guests, here are three great ways to prepare your fall vegetables:
Roasting Vegetables Mellows the Flavor
One of my favorite ways to prepare veggies is by roasting them—especially carrots, cauliflower, broccoli and brussels sprouts. The oven’s dry heat caramelizes their natural sugars and brings a depth of flavor to fruits and vegetables.
Root Veggie Roast
If you’ve never roasted root vegetables, you should give it a try. Roasted carrots are particularly delicious. Toss them with a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar, sprinkle with salt and pepper, then spread out on a cookie sheet and roast at 425 degrees for about a half hour until they’re tender. The vinegar turns into a sticky, syrupy glaze that coats them irresistibly. You can give the same treatment to sweet potatoes, asparagus, green beans or beets—tossing them with something tart before roasting, like lemon or lime juice, vinegar, or even pomegranate juice to contrast with their natural sweetness.
Cauliflower Comfort
I was never much of a cauliflower lover until I started roasting it; now it’s become a fall staple at my house. Roasting softens the strong flavor. The cauliflower gets sweeter, and the texture becomes almost meaty. I coat the florets and some sliced onion with a dash of olive oil, sprinkle with salt, pepper and curry powder and then roast– you now have a new delicious, and healthy comfort food option.
You can roast fruits, too.
Fall apples are fantastic when they’re prepared this way. Pretty much any variety will do, and you don’t need to peel them. Just cut in halves or quarters, remove the core and spread them in a single layer on a cookie sheet, sprayed with nonstick spray and roast like you would the veggies. You can toss them with a little lemon juice, apple juice or, if you want, spices first. But if you start with tasty fresh apples, they’re really good on their own.
Crispy Veggies for the Win
When vegetables are overcooked, their texture suffers, and they can lose a lot of their fresh flavor. On top of that, overcooking veggies can destroy the beautiful bright colors, which makes them a lot less appetizing to look at. To preserve taste, texture and color, most vegetables are at their best when they’re cooked until just tender-crisp. That means they’re heated and cooked through, and you can easily bite them—but they’ve still got a bit of a ‘snap’ to them.
Improve Flavor with Blanching
Blanching your veggies in hot water for just a minute takes away much of the raw taste but minimizes vitamin losses because the process is so quick. This works really well with strong-tasting, firm vegetables like broccoli or cauliflower florets. Bring a pot of water (salt optional) to a boil, then drop in the veggies and leave them for about 45 seconds. Drain, then give a quick rinse with cold water and drain again. They’re now ready to stir-fry, or just chill and add to salads or use for dipping. Another top vegetable tip: Hot vegetables carry odors. So, if that’s what stops you from eating them, this blanch-and-chill method might work really well for you.

Encouragement for Women During These Tough Times
Every time I go through my life and think about the things that really make me happy, I tend to smile and hear the words, “You just need to practice more.” Those words of encouragement are sure to inspire you, to strive harder, and to achieve your goals. Whether it is inspiring others to achieve their goals, reaching your dreams, or simply being more loving, these inspiring quotes will bring some little bit of hope and positivity in your everyday life.
In all walks of life, encouragement is essential. Inspirational quotes for women help a lot in giving them a boost on their way to achieving their goals and helping them with their daily tasks. Some of these quotes can be found on the internet and other inspirational quotes can be found everywhere.
One of the best quotes of women’s motivation is; “What you believe in, you achieve.” This quote is very simple yet meaningful. There is nothing to beat this in any way, shape or form.
Another one of the best quotes of women’s motivational quote is; “If you have nothing, give something.” Although simple, this quote has an important message for women as it teaches us how to live life with less stress and anxiety in order to attain our goals and achieve our dreams.
In terms of inspiring words, it can be said that one of the best quotes of women is; “If you want something in life, go for it!” This quote is not only motivating but also inspiring to know that we can have what we want in life, but if we don’t want to put in the effort to get it, then it does not matter how much money we make or where we go for it.
Words of encouragement are not only helpful to women who are trying to achieve their goals but they can also motivate men. Men can always benefit from the words of inspiration that are given by inspirational men. Even though men often fail at things at first, it is important to understand that men have the same dreams and ambitions as women do.
It can be said that there is no difference between men and women as far as the desire for self-development is concerned. All men want to become better people and in order for that to happen, they need to find ways to improve themselves, learn to be more independent, and be confident in their choices.
Inspiring words are definitely essential in every phase of a woman’s life. Having said that, it is important to choose the quotes that you use and read them often because these will always remind you of the great things that you have achieved and will always encourage you to work harder and achieve more.
When a woman is in her 20’s or when she is in menopause, it is very important for her to remember all the hard work she did in her previous years to achieve what she wanted to achieve in her life and in her career. It is very important to remember all the accomplishments you had made in your past so that you won’t lose track of what you have already done.
The good thing about the word “encouragement” is that it can motivate you even after you have already achieved something. The motivation that can come from your family and friends will motivate you in the future, even though you haven’t achieved anything. They will give you their support because they know that they helped you achieve your dreams and goals in the past.
The most effective way of encouragement for a woman is to talk to her husband or partner about her own goals. The encouragement that you get from your husband or spouse will help you achieve many more things and help you realize that you are doing the right things.
One great quote that is very effective in getting the motivation that you need is: “You’re in this together.” You don’t need anyone else to achieve your goals but yourself. If you are in love with your partner and have been together for many years, then you should remember that you are in this together and that the two of you can achieve anything together.
