Ramiel, Ramiel...
Okay...I'm not quite finished with Book Two: Ramiel II, but I'm getting there. Off from work today, so I am writing, at least. There is still a lot of reveals and partial reveals to wrap up before Dashiel's book. Raymond (Ramiel) has to get his long-suffering HEA!
I had a blast with one chapter, featuring the Archangel Michael. (Hint: Tune in to some warped creepy circus music, folks. Then turn that shit way up).
Currently at 97,668 words...

WOCIR
Yipee! After waiting for almost a month, the first of the two books from my Angelo, Texas Trilogy is finally up on the 'Women of Color In Romance' website! Cool!
Now...if only they'd get the second book up, I'd be on Cloud 9. :)
And speaking of trilogy, back to work on Angelo II.

OMG...there is actually light at the end of the tunnel.
I think that I may actually be able to finish Ramiel II today or tomorrow! After weeks and months of fumbling around, I find that outlining a story has its perks. Better late than never! While things are subject to change a little as I finish this book, I'm stilled stoked. I may actually be able to start on the next Angelo II book 'Dashiel' this weekend!

Is there a sliver of a silver lining with the RWA???
As a relatively new member of the Romance Writers of America, I’m appalled by the groups actions – and inactions – to the complaints of racism, anti-LGTBQ+, and disabled biases that are entrenched within the organization.
Around two hundred members have left so far, including some big names in romance, like Beverly Jenkins, Tessa Dare, Alyssa Cole, Alyssa Day, Elizabeth Hoyt, and Courtney Milan, to name a few.
With that being said, it actually looks like there is a glimmer of hope in the works with a few left to fight the good fight, judging from what I’m seeing in the RWA forums. Of course, there are still some NWL and the like trying to maintain the status quo, and I’m happy to state that they are being shot down with their whining and trolling of the threads.
I was thinking about letting my membership lapse when it comes due at the end of July, but with what I’m seeing now, there may actually be some real change coming in the organization, as some serious hell-raising is going on right now. I hope that if things turn for the better, those greats in romance will return. We’ll see…
And to think that the RWA was founded by a Black woman (Vivian Stephens). WTF?

Regarding Beelzebub, Asmodeus, and other demons...fallen angels.
From Wikipedia:
the 17th-century exorcist Sébastien Michaëlis, in his Admirable History (1612), placed Beelzebub among the three most prominent fallen angels, the other two being Lucifer and Leviathan. John Milton, in his epic poem Paradise Lost, first published in 1667, identified an unholy trinity consisting of Beelzebub, Lucifer, and Astaroth, with Beelzebub as the second-ranking of the many fallen angels. Milton wrote of Beelzebub "than whom, Satan except, none higher sat."
In my Angelo series, I also state that the higher demons in Hell are fallen angels, like Satan (the Devil; Sataniel). Asmodeus outranks Beelzebub though.
I'd love to have Michaëlis' book, but no English translation is available. :(

Raymond and Carolina.
Releasing his hands, Carolina ran her fingers through his tangled golden blond locks, smoothing the strands out across the navy silk pillow beneath his head.
“I’ve thought at least a dozen times…” She paused mid-sentence.
Raymond quirked a brow. “You’ve thought what a dozen times?”
“You remind me of an angel from a Renaissance painting.”
Raymond grinned. “You remind me of a goddess.”

Getting close to the wire...
I'm still writing a short story for NaNoWriMo, and if I want a 'win' it has to be finished by midnight, I think. I doubt that I'll make it, but then again, I have a little less than 6 more hours, so anything goes. I'm feeling rather optimistic. lol
Back to working on 'Henry's Secret Admirer'.

Another future quote to add to my quote list, once Angelo II is done...lol
“I’ve been to Angelo a few times. With the exception of that whole Dog Poo Rapist thing, the headless body found in an alley, and the creepy red skies, it appears to be a nice little town.”
