One week left!
I'm suppose to be working on my short story for CampNano, yet here I am writing more of 'Angelo II', which is now a little over 78,000 words! Having fun with Raymond and Carolina's story. When I'm done with theirs, I may write the m/m book next. (Note that like 'Angelo, Texas', 'Angelo II' is made up of 4 - 5 'books').
As I have the upcoming week off from work, I think that I may be able to complete 'Henry's Secret Admirer'. We'll see!

It's a miracle!
Right now, I'm currently a little over 77,900 words! For a slow poke like me, this is epic. lol

A Missed Event.
I was really looking forward to another evening at the Octopus Literary Lounge tonight:
Faith Adiele, Featured Author, NaNoLitMo
Thursday, April 11, 2019
The Octopus Literary Salon, 2101 Webster St #170, Oakland, CA 94612, USA
NaNoLitMo will take place at 7PM on April 11
A brief reading
A fun Q&A with Rachael and Shannon
A writing exercise led by Faith.
As I was too tired and achy from work, I figured that I just had to call it a day. Plus, there were these really strong cold winds blowing in, and I really didn't feel like waiting/taking two buses to get to the event, albeit they would have been short bus rides (Waiting would have been an entirely different matter though).
I was really looking forward to this too; I even wore my new CampNano t-shirt today. :)
Hopefully, I will speak with Shannon and find out how the event went, i.e. what fun did I miss out on.
LOL (kind of).

Now, I am really paying attention to my word count.
On November 18th, I was at 60,000 words. Today (almost five months later), I'm a little over 75,000.
That's all!
*sigh*

More on the RWA/RITA Issue.

My Personlity Type.
According to a test I recently took, I'm an ISTJ.
(Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judging)
ISTJ:
You generally take an Introverted (I) approach to life.
Your preferred mode of perception is Sensing (S).
You make judgments primarily through Thinking (T).
You typically show your Judging (J) side to the world.
The introverted section surprised me a little, as I've always seen myself as more of an extrovert. Then again, as I go along in life, I find that I really do enjoy my own company, as many people get on my damn nerves. lol

The RWA RITA Issue.
As I'm still reading through the RITA thread, I have to agree with the majority of the other writers' comments: basically, a book should be judged on its merit, and not on who wrote the book (i.e. a popularity contest); and that the system should be more inclusive, and not focused on books by and about white M/F couples.
With that being said, there was one very antagonistic author in the conversation, who didn't seem to get the memo. She mentioned that the RITA should be all about the writing; no one was debating that. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, I'm assuming that she meant just that, but her choice of words - and the sarcastic venom - pretty much eliminated what she could have possibly meant.
I just deleted her book from my Kindle; I recently bought it, as it sounded good from the blurb, and I'll be getting my money back.
I ain't got time for the bullshit.

Camp NanoWriMo coming up in April.
I'm considering doing this, as I'm also a relative newbie with Nano, and an RWA member there is looking for other members to create an RWA cabin. Sounds like fun, and I just might be able to wring a creepy short story out of the deal. :)
