Day 3,545: Sent!

Finished the outline. Right on time. Whew.

Now…rest. Then, next week, we go hard. Gotta get this thing out.

Very proud of myself. Very tired. It’s been a very, very long week. Night night.

Day 3,544: Kitties!

Trapped two more kitties from the colony. Lady Marmalade and Pumpkin, our kitten. We also call Lady “Mama” Marmalade because she’s had several litters since we started feeding her. She is FIERCE. All the other kitties stay away from her because she will CUT YOU. Went right into the trap, though. Pumpkin, too. Whew.

They get fixed tomorrow morning and then it’s just two more kitties to go: Baby Marmalade (Mama’s kitten, obvs, who looks just like her), and Sweet Boy, who’s the head tomcat of th...

Day 3,543: Dog Tired

Joy got fixed today. She is TIRED. And uncomfortable. Poor baby. But, she got some pain meds and now she conked out. She gets them every twelve hours, and that anesthesia is wearing off too. Apparently that’ll take a couple days. Ugh. I hate that she’s feeling bad.

I’m tired too. Hectic week. Back at it again in the morning.

Night night.

Day 3,542: Off

Man. My blog count got off somewhere in the past several months and I don’t know where. I’ve been back on correctly the past week or so, but only because I just started using the correct number as opposed to actually going through the past history and figuring out where it went wrong. Sigh…I started doing that tonight while waiting for something to finish on my computer, and it seems to be a waaayyyss back.

Oh well! I’ll figure it out. We were only four days off!

Pups are curled up next to...

Day 3,541: Raisins

Joy has been my BUDDY today. She was snuggled hard in me last night. All up in my business. And then she spent the morning with me in my office (with Coops), and ended up sleeping on my desk. It was just the perfect place to put her! She wasn’t so sure at first, but then she loved it. And now she’s got her butt up against me in bed, getting ready for sleepy times.

I. Am. Wiped.

Solid day. Really solid day. A great way to kick off the writing extravaganza. Got to get this book finished. And...

Day 3,540: Le Quick

It’s a quick one tonight. Already sleep time.

It’s DRY. One of my knuckles cracked today. Need to moisturize it nice and good. Let it heal up. Ugh.

Got shit to finish over the next couple months. Looking forward to it. Setting some high goals. But I can DO IT. I can do it.

Pups are good. Bear is good. I went and got Sunday newspapers for the kitty cages so I’m all set up for more trapping this week. Fridge is full of food. Devices are charged and/or gonna be charged.

Life is good. Le...

Day 3,539: Go Time (almost)

Man. I was *exhausted* today. All day. Wiped the eff out. Not in a bad way. Just…tired. Anticipating it’ll be the same tomorrow too. But that’s okay, because starting Monday, it’s go time. The book is getting written, and I know now how fast I can go. I’m looking forward to it.

Night night.

Day 3,538: Easy Virtue

Another Hitchcock film down! Such a fun hang, each time. Learning so much. This one was interesting because I could finally see the makings of an actual Hitchcock character. They always have a secret, you know? That tension between wanting to tell the truth and not being able to. Especially his women. It was in this film, Easy Virtue. I think part of it is that it was based on a Noel Coward play, and Noel can WRITE. He’s one of the major playwrights of the early 20th century. So, I can see Hitch...

Day 3,537: First Out

Kitties are fixed! They’re resting in the bathroom, very tired, very cramped, and very ready to go back to their lives. Poor things. They get released tomorrow morning. I cannot WAIT to let them go. I hate keeping them in there like that, so scared and unhappy. But…they need to recover. Get the anesthesia out of their systems, scab over any bleeding from the surgery, etc.

Tomorrow: freedom.

A topsy-turvy day. Work was busy. Didn’t get any writing done. Sigh. Gonna try better tomorrow.

N...

Day 3,536: So much WORK

Okay.

So, I have three community kitties in my bathroom right now, all hunkered down in their little cages. They did NOT like getting trapped, but it’s over. They’re all covered up in the dark, which helps them to relax. Bingo even at some food in there. Snacks and Nugget did not. Poor Nugget, she destroyed her entire paper covering. Snacks didn’t. Neither did Bingo.

Sigh.

It’s happening! I’m finally doing the right thing and making the effort, taking the time, to get them fixed. They’l...
