Day 2,986: Coco Kisses

Coco gives me kisses on my nose every chance she gets. If my face is at the level of her tongue, she’s licking my nose as hard as she possibly can.

She just has this “lick” energy at night sometimes. She has to get it out before she can go to sleep. Day 2,985: Hi 2022

Lots I want to do this year. As always, we’ll see how it goes, and as always, I guarantee that I will set myself too lofty…but that’s okay. It’s who I am.

Worked hard today. Slept in, though, too. Will probably do a bit of that again tomorrow since it’s late right now. But, here’s to the new year; may it be everything we want it to be.

Day 2,984: Fare Thee Well 2021

The sun came out today.

I’m going to take that as a good omen for the year to come. Not that 2021 was doom and gloom. No…that honor was decidedly reserved for 2020. 2021 was good to me. Amazing to me, in fact. I took some steps forward this past year that I’ve been struggling to take for a very, very long time.

Day 2,983: Moar Rain. Moar Paint.

Rained all day again today! Painted all day again today, too 😛

It’s coming along, the painting! I’d say we’re about halfway done painting everything we want to. That’s a little daunting, but you know what? We can do it. I enjoy doing the work, honestly, even though it’s exhausting. It’s so satisfying to see it done. And it looks so good.

Need to get up on time tomorrow and get in my writing, SO…making this a short one.

Day 2,982: Rain Rain Rain

Rained almost all day today. There was just enough dry in the morning to take the pups out and go for a walk, eat breakfast myself…and then the rain began.

I painted all day. Who would’ve thought just doing two rooms (three when we’re all said and done, but two so far) would be so much work?! Me…actually. I knew it would be this much work. Thankfully, I have Liz to help, and we even had our friends Stephen and Thida over to help a little as well. They even brought us lunch. Homemade leftovers...

Day 2,981: Paint!

Painted today! Re-doing some stuff, and digging in to roll up our sleeves and get our hands nice and dirty. My hands are speckled with primer and dry…but I made decent progress today. Doing several rooms, so I have my work cut out for me. Need to go harder at it tomorrow. Might be getting some help from our friend Stephen. We’ll see.

Day 2,980: Butter Bitch

Writing was awesome this morning. I only got through ONE scene…but what a scene you guys. Whadda scene.

Tomorrow, I aim for more. Try to find my rhythm with the scene by scene outline. We’re going to call is the SBS from now on. It’s a beast to do. I learned that with the first Glory book.

Meanwhile! Glory continues to do well. Today, we put it on sale for $1.99 (down from $4.99) and had it go out on an email promotion and it’s spiking right now on the sales charts! Up to #17 on Space Flee...

Day 2,979: When Coops Was A Young Pup

Cooper is right on the edge of the bed right now. He LOVES being on the edge. Of everything. He’ll literally sleep with half his body hanging off of something.

Today was another day of doing FINANCES. And we finished them. Just this last week of whatever our expenses are, and we’re done for the year. Just in time to send them over to our accountants so we can do payroll…if we have to do payroll. We’ll SEE!

It’s such a relief to have that shit done. Whew. Next up: more work on the big proje...

Day 2,978: Merry Christmas!

I had the most wonderful christmas today. Truly.

Woke up after a nice sleep-in. Hung around in bed for a bit which was luxurious af. Then I got up and fed the pups. Had to run a few errands (which included wrapping Liz’s christmas present at an undisclosed location), and then I was back in time for a delicious breakfast casserole/frittata. We took a long walk with the pups over to Starbucks. Coco did great.

FaceTimed after that with my fam. Then we watched some more Grand Designs, and then...
