Day 3,041: Ashika’s Two
My goddaughter turned two years old today!
We came up to meet Joe and Madhuri and Ashika in Pismo Beach, which is so cute, by the way. Had breakfast in Arroyo Grande, hung out at the beach and pushed Ashika on the swing while her parents went to get food, came home for a nap, went to a petting zoo, picked up BBQ for dinner, and then sang happy birthday and she opened her presents.
It was…a perfect day.
Happy Birthday Ashika. We love you so much. I feel so honored that out of all the fam...

Day 3,040: Fam
It’s super late so we’ll make this a short one, but a very busy day that’s ended with fam-time. It’s Ashika’s birthday tomorrow and we’re with her and Joe and Madhuri! Huzzah!

Day 3,039: eBay
I have stuff to sell on eBay. Quite a bit of stuff. Stuff that I sorted out and earmarked for getting rid of almost two years ago. Packed it up in boxes and everything, just never actually posted it online.
It’s…hard for me to do that for some reason. And, it’s not hard for the reason you might think, which would be that I’m going to have a hard time getting rid of the stuff. I sincerely don’t think that’s it. I think it’s that I don’t want to fuck up the process of posting it on eBay and get...

Day 3,038: Found
Watched a couple really interesting docs today, both kind of randomly. The first was Found which is about three girls living in various parts of the US that were adopted from China around the turn of the millennium and found each other—cousins, according to 23 an Me—and decide to see if they can find their birth parents on a collective trip to China. It’s one of the sweeter, more heartfelt films I’ve seen in a long time. Highly recommend.
The other is called Downfall: The Case Against Boeing,...

Day 3,037: Twos
It was a day of all twos today! 2/2/22.
Chilly day outside. Didn’t get to see it much because I was swamped at work. Not “bad” swamped—I could handle it, and in fact, I could have not done aaallll of it today…but this means I’m ahead of the game, and that’s where I like to be, so I just bit the bullet and did it all. Plus, it was cold outside anyway!
Pups are all bundled up. Sheets are still fresh and cozy. Gonna be a nice sleep.
Writing was solid this morning. Not great, but I had my b...

It was a day of all twos today! 2/2/22.
