Day 3,016: Stories Are Hard

Stories are hard.

So much of the time, the work isn’t quite there. The pieces are, but it doesn’t all come together the way it needs to. This happens at various levels, obviously. Sometimes it’s an unmitigated disaster. Sometimes it’s so close that we can shrug off the holes and still love it. Most of the time, it’s in between. And rarely…it does all come together, and when that happens, it’s magic.
