October News
Hey, reader!
Happy October. Life is moving right along, isn't it?
I've been tending many fires which includes completing my military romance for the upcoming release of Heroes, Holidays, and Hope: Volume 3.
Heroes, Holidays, and Hope
I'll soon begin formatting the anthology, giving the authors a chance to proof before we finalize the digital and print editions.
I've also made loose notes for my next Monsters of New York story. A shared world of dark, paranormal romances.
How about a lion shifter (King of the Pride) and a female vampire? Intrigued? Me too!
The first run is complete with nine stories, and the second run should begin publishing soon.
https://www.evernightpublishing.com/s...
In the publishing corner, I'm working on distributing books to B&N thru IngramSpark to make print copies available for stores. A few are interested in carrying my books, I'm hoping to get in-person events scheduled.
Watch my website or socials for more on that!
I've also uploaded books to Google Books; working through some glitches to get my military romance collections linked together in the series.
Keyed Up & Jazzed Up Duet is also available there.
https://play.google.com/store/books/d...
I've taken time to catch up on my TBR, finishing some reads and audio books. Working my way through Donna Grant's Dragon King and Elven Kingdom series. I finished the latest from T.M. Smith in her Winged Assassins series.
Broken Ice of Eternity
I'm about to start Tourist Season by Brynne Weaver.
AND, October 1st if release day for my author pal, Dania Voss. Another fun and steamy story in her Delcinia Diaries series about the luxury lingerie industry.
Passion and Pearls
So that's it for now.
Catch all the latest; day by day; week by week on my socials - links at my website.

September News
Well, I skipped right over August and now we're into September. Where is time going?!
Summer has been eventful, busy, and wonderful!
Family time, writing, and publishing in a nutshell... so here's the breakdown:
My sister visited end of July and into August. We had a terrific time, going to the Oregon coast twice and getting tattoos together being the highlights. Now my brother and nephew are visiting soon.
Our older grandson turned 6! And started 1st grade! Yep, time's flying.
Hubby and I got minor projects completed and plenty of property work. No major trips, but we hope to get over to Boise within the next month to visit our older son.
I released my Military Romance Collection Volume 2, and Volume 3 is releasing the 15th of the month!
Military Romance Collection: Volume 2
Military Romance Collection: Volume 3
I'm close to finishing my latest WIP - a military romance for the upcoming release of the next volume of Heroes, Holidays, and Hope.
Heroes, Holidays, and Hope
After it's complete, I'll start formatting the anthology while also starting my next project - another story in the Monsters of New York shared world with Evernight Publishing.
My first story has been receiving terrific reviews, and I'm thrilled readers are loving it!
Claim My Soul
So, that sets the tone for the coming months...
How's life been for you?
What's your current read?
Favorite read this year?
I'm taking time to enjoy some books, mostly recently finishing Bull Moon Rising by Ruby Dixon; and looking forward to the second in the series, By the Horns.
Wishing you a wonderful September and start of Fall (or Spring).
Be well!

July News
Hi reader! Happy July and the start of the second half of 2025. Wow, huh?!
We eagerly look forward to this time of year with the good weather, the Fourth of July, and long days... and now we're already feeling it fly by. But, we're trying to make the most of it all.
I've been a busy bee, promoting three releases in June, writing my next military romance, and setting up the preorder for the next volume of my Military Romance Collection. I'm thrilled for this release, and if all goes well, I'll have Volume 3 releasing in September.
Anticipation has been high for this, with readers eager for more, and I can't wait!
Military Romance Collection: Volume 2
The ebook will release 7/7, and I'm working on uploading the print edition to release by or before 7/14. I've got a print proof coming to ensure all looks perfect!
The release of my dark paranormal romance, Claim My Soul, with Evernight Publishing has been tremendous, with readers loving it! Hope you'll grab your copy and enjoy.
Claim My Soul
Besides writing, hubby and I have been doing property work with more that needs doing. Always, right?
No trips planned (since we decided a road trip into Canada, sadly isn't meant to be right now).
My sister is visiting at the end of July and into August, and it's always a wonderful time with her. Last year we got nearly matching tattoos, and this year, we're getting more. Pictures will go up on SM.
Whether you're enjoying the warmth of summer or the frostiness of winter, find some fun!
Be well! xo

May news
Hi, reader!
Hope May has greeted you well.
Happy early Mother's Day to those who fill that role in any capacity. No set plans as of yet, but there's a local market opening up I think I'll check out.
In my author world, I received first edits for my story, Claim My Soul in the Monsters of New York shared world from Evernight Publishing. I was thrilled to have received high praise for my story! My heart did a wonderful flip. So, first edits are completed and hopefully soon I'll have a release date. Along with what I know will be an amazing cover. Watch my socials for that reveal.
I learned that the Cocky Hero Club World is going to dissolve, which means my book, Park Avenue Princess will no longer be available in digital or print format, as of June 30th. However, since the audio contract is longer, the audiobook will remain available until March 2028. So, if you haven't indulged in this intriguing, spicy romance, grab your copy now in any format.
Park Avenue Princess
In writing news, I've got a good start to my next story: a forced-proximity novella which will be featured in a collection releasing in November. Preorder is up.
Snowed In With You
In personal news, family life is terrific, and we're very much looking forward to our weather which becomes sunnier and pleasant. Great for our walks.
Any fun plans ahead for you?
Make them great!

April news
Better late than never... now that we're over a week into the month. Hope it's starting off well for you.
Life has been a whirlwind! But then, it always is, and that's what keeps it interesting, eh?
At the end of March, I released my special edition Duet ~ combining connected stories ~ my 1st and 30th publications. I'm excited to offer it in digital and print edition.
Keyed Up & Jazzed Up Duet
Want a signed print book with goodies? You can order directly from me. I've got the Duet and many more to offer. Here's the link:

Still awaiting edits for my story in the Monsters of New York shared world. Book 4 by Rose Wulf is up for preorder.
https://books2read.com/MNY-Darkhan
Rose Wulf
You can find the other books in the series here:
https://www.evernightpublishing.com/s...
I'm furiously writing Felix and Tamala's story, Now It's Forever, which will be included in the Finding Forever collection, releasing in June. At least that's the hope. I've never missed a deadline, and I hope this won't be my first.
It's a sassy, emotional story I am loving!
Edits are complete on another wedding-themed romance collection ~ the Save the Date anthology. Also releasing in June, my story is fun and flirty, and always leaves the door open for future stories. Because guess what??? I signed on to do another collection with this publisher, The New Romance Cafe! It's a snowed-in, forced proximity novella, and I can't wait to share more.
In the meantime, you can preorder the two wedding collections and get ready for amazing romances in June.
Finding Forever: A Limited Edition
Wedding Romance Collection
Save the Date: A Contemporary Wedding Anthology
Beyond my author life, I'm busy helping hubby where I can with shop work, and spending time with the family, esp the grands. The older grandson has started TBall, and it's so fun to watch!
Wishing you all the best! xo

MARCH NEWS
Hello to March ~ my birthday month! It also marks my 8th anniversary of becoming a contracted published author.
At times, it seems like only yesterday that I began this journey. Other times, I feel as if I've been on this journey nearly all my life.
It's challenging and amazing and tiring and exhilarating and so much more. I continue to learn (as one should) and stretch my boundaries, and I look forward to more prosperity to come.
~
I've got a book sale to tell you about. Volume 2 of the Heroes, Holidays, and Hope military romance charity anthology is on sale thru 3/15. The ebook is only $2.99. Six riveting stories to enjoy and a chance to help a worthy cause, as sales benefit Soldiers' Angels.
https://www.heroesholidaysandhope.com
~
I've got something special happening later this month, and I'll be dropping teasers on my SM pages and in my newsletter. If you want all the details, you can sign up for my NL and find all my SM sites at my website.
https://laurambaird.com
~
In writing news, I'm eagerly awaiting edits for my story in the Monsters of New York shared world from Evernight Publishing. Books 1 & 2 have released, and the 3rd is out on 3/11. The first run will have ten stories: paranormal, shifters, dark romance. Appealing, right? You can find them here:
https://www.evernightpublishing.com/s...
~
I've submitted the first of two wedding-themed romances that will be featured in collections releasing in June. I'm currently working on the second story, and it's flowing nicely. A slow burn, age gap, reluctant love that's going to get emotional and spicy.
~
Until next time, happy reading and enjoy the coming of Spring in the Northern hemisphere and Autumn in the Southern hemisphere. xo

February news
Hi, reader! I decided once a month posting here is probably going to be my routine.
I'm still not receiving the weekly updates on blog posts like I used to get, even though I ensured all my boxes were clicked that needed to be clicked to ensure that would happen. Whatever changes have been made here, I'm not happy about.
I miss receiving the news from authors and reviewers I enjoy following. Heck, maybe this post itself won't be seen... guess I'll know if anyone 'likes' or comments.
Anywho, onto my news for those who read this.
;)
I finished a wedding-themed romcom novella that will be included in the SAVE THE DATE collection releasing in June. It was a kick to write, and it left the door open for my next military romance that will be in Heroes, Holidays, and Hope Volume 3, releasing in December.
Save the Date: A Contemporary Wedding Anthology
I'm now writing another wedding-themed romance for the Finding Forever collection. If you read my story in the Heroes, Holidays, and Hope V2, you may remember the simmering attraction between FBI agent, Tamala Martins and Lexi's father, Felix. Their story is going to be a slow burn, sexy age-gap.
Finding Forever: A Limited Edition Wedding Romance Collection
I hope to receive edits soon for my story in the Monsters of NY shared world with Evernight Publishing. Excited for all the fabulous stories!
Even with a packed writing schedule, hubby and I are hoping to plan a few getaways of the road trip kind. Plus, planning for family visits later this year as well.
I've been participating in fun bungee workout sessions. Search bungee workout and you'll see what I mean. So energetic!
And with all that's going on, I'm managing to make time for some leisurely reading. I don't tend to jump on what's new and popular right away (if at all) but some reader friends gifted me with a copy of book 1 from Lucy Score's Knockemout series, and I devoured it! I finished book 2 recently and immediately downloaded book 3.
Hope you're finding great reads!
If you want more up-to-date news along with book promotions, I'd love for you to sign up for my newsletter. It's the one true form of news you'll get directly from the author. You can sign up through this link and receive a free short story that was previously featured in a charity anthology.

Welcoming 2025 with open arms...
...and wonderful opportunities!
Happy New Year!
I realize we're nearly a week into it, so, yeah, officially, I'm lagging. But not really!!
I took some much-needed down time with hubby over the holidays and it was fabulous. We visited our older son in Boise, enjoyed a sedate Christmas, had fun times with my younger son, DIL, and 3 grands! Then our present to ourselves was a trip to the Fiesta Bowl to watch our favorite college football team, Boise State.
Unfortunately, they did not win (to move on) but it was a terrific experience.
Shortly before our trip, I completed a new project - a monster romance in a shared world for Evernight Publishing. I'm so excited for all the stories, and am thrilled with how mine finished up! More details to come.
As I look back on 2024, what a year!
In my author world, I had four new releases, and re-release, a completed story submitted, and two more started that'll release in June. I'm looking ahead to the latter half of 2025, getting anxious to plan my schedule.
I may have a local event (SW WA) in March, and I'm hoping to get up to the base, JBLM, north of Olympia, WA, for an author event to promote the military romance charity project.
Heroes, Holidays, and Hope
In my personal world, I completed my 24-year career as a dental hygienist. Such a bitter sweet time but necessary for my health. I'm so blessed to have my husband who is so supportive. I've been able to concentrate on writing and family. At some point, I'm sure I'll look for PT work, simply to feed my retirement. That is, unless my book sales shoot through the roof, then all bets are off! ;) That's be the dream, right?
I'm making an effort to get out and about into the community, meeting friends/readers, going to a Romance Book Club, as well as joining a studio for exercise classes. It's been a blast! From bungee fitness to moon shoes to kick boxing! Move it or lose it, right!?
As we move into this year, be kind and respectful to yourself. Take care of you; find joy; and make the most of each moment.
I'm very grateful for you, the reader. For those who send me a note, an email, a holiday card, a response on SM... I love the engagement and it's such a boost! Keep it up.
And until next time...
Be well and happy reading! xo

Be well and happy reading! xo

Closing out 2024
The holidays are upon us and soon we'll say good bye to another year. And what a year it's been!
Between awesome writing projects, completing my dental hygiene career, and family time, I am truly blessed.
I had four publications (one which has already run the duration of its limited release, and the story rights have returned to me), acceptance of another story, and two more projects in the works, keeping me plenty busy.
I'll soon look at my writing schedule for the second half of 2025 which will include another volume in my Military Romance Series as well as a story for volume 3 of Heroes, Holidays, and Hope.
Want to catch up on what I had published and fill your holiday with great reading?
Love Me, Love Me Not
Winter Wishes and Holiday Kisses: A Limited Edition of Hot Holiday Romance
Heroes, Holidays, and Hope
And here's one for preorder:
Finding Forever: A Limited Edition
Wedding Romance Collection
I want to wish you a Happy Holiday and a wonderful start to new opportunities in 2025!
