Correcting my oopsie!!
First, let me start off by offering my apologies for anyone who thought there was a month remaining to get your copy of the Second Time's a Charm charity anthology.
I mistakenly thought it was a 4-month run, but alas, it was only for three.
That being said, it was a wonderful run with the publisher, The New Romance Cafe donating over $400- to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
While to some that may not seem like much, but EVERY dollar counts. And over the years of the publisher doing charity anthologies, and the BCRF being their chosen charity, they've donated over $25,000!
Now, regarding my story in the anthology, Twice Upon a Love, it will make a reappearance in a future volume in my Military Romance Series. While I won't revise or lengthen the original story, the characters will no doubt make an appearance in another, longer story... one I'll be working on with a holiday theme for a collection releasing this November.

Mid-month updates
Well, did you survive tax day? We do our taxes just as soon as we possibly can, and ours was completed over a month ago. One more task to check off the list.
So what's in store for the remainder of the month? Writing, of course. Continuing to progress on my next military romance. It's one of three stories I'll complete between now and October. You can preorder the first anthology, Beyond Courage now for only 0.99!

Hello April!
After a whirl wind long weekend away, celebrating Hubby's birthday and taking a trip that was supposed to happen in December, Monday was a day!
Caught up on paperwork, shopping, food prep, and FINALLY getting the revised cover/title for my military romance series uploaded to various platforms.
I won't rehash the particulars, but per zon, Boxset had to be removed from the title/description. So, done.
Now just waiting for everything to finalize.

In writing news... well, there hasn't been any for a bit. Between preparing for the trip, caring for my mother, still working, and trying to arrange/prepare for author events, my mojo took a hit. Hoping that'll change in the coming days, because as usual, I've got deadlines! And all these ideas need their outlet.

Books and my birthday!
Hiya, reader!
So, my birthday is coming up, like, Wednesday coming up. I'm grateful for every single day I continue to be here. And this year's birthday marks my 7th anniversary for my first publishing contract that began my journey as a romance author. Now with over 30 publications and extraordinary relationships I've developed, I'm so excited for what more the future holds.
I'm not really making a big to-do about the day, but no doubt I'll have some of my favorite ice cream - mint chocolate chip!
And, I've got a birthday fundraiser happening on FB.
It's never easy asking others for money, especially when times can be tough. So I'll just say, any little bit will help a lot, and any/all shares are appreciated! I'm giving, and asking for donations, to the Warrior Dog Foundation. A more-than-worthy organization that rehabilitates working dogs, transitioning them from service to a comfortable retirement.

I've incorporated their work into a story line within my ongoing military romance series. I'm a big softy for canines, and I've told hubby if we ever win the big lottery, prepare to either have plenty donated to organizations like this or we'll just buy land and open our own dog sanctuary. ;)

News and a book sale
Well, I thought I'd have great news regarding a cover revision for my Military Romance series... and I did, but then needed one more revision. Long-story-not-so-short, back in December, when I wanted to have my series in print, the cover and title were rejected because "Boxset" was 'misleading' (zon's word) yet the ebook cover passed their review. (As well as Draft2Digital) Okay, so, I went back to D2D to have the print version made and it passed and it became available at B&N.
But wait, now I get notification that it should not have passed review (it escaped their keen eyes) *yes, I'm rolling my eyes!* And at some point it'll be flagged and removed.
Sheesh!
So, the proactive approach all along was to have the covers revised, removing the word 'boxset', and uploading the new covers and files.
I cannot say enough how wonderful it has been and will no doubt continue to be, to work with GetCovers. They made my original covers, and now they're revising. I'm hoping that by the end of the week, if not sooner, I'll have the final images in order to upload EVERYWHERE.
Yes, it is a task, but a worthwhile one. And with future volumes coming, better do it right and avoid complications to come.
Now, onto better news!

Hello to March...
...which came in roaring like a lion. Snow and icy rain in the PNW. Of course winter isn't over yet, so why not give it to us good? ;)

Last night I finally hit a good writing streak, breaking a sluggish slump. I'm working on my next military romance which will be a part of the Beyond Courage collection.
Kurt and Janelle's story is going to be a wild ride! They were introduced in Passion and Duty Forever, which is part of the Heroes, Holidays, and Hope antho.

And yes, if you hadn't noticed, I've got a new website! After mulling over my site, my domain, and getting in compliance with the new regulations for sending emails & newsletters, I made the plunge! I had terrific help from a techie friend who assisted in moving me to a new host for my website as well as my newsletters. In doing so, I had to rename my domain. But it's easy peasy - simply my name.
Can't say enough how much I'm loving Squarespace and Flodesk.
