Welcoming 2025 with open arms...

...and wonderful opportunities!
Happy New Year!
I realize we're nearly a week into it, so, yeah, officially, I'm lagging. But not really!!

I took some much-needed down time with hubby over the holidays and it was fabulous. We visited our older son in Boise, enjoyed a sedate Christmas, had fun times with my younger son, DIL, and 3 grands! Then our present to ourselves was a trip to the Fiesta Bowl to watch our favorite college football team, Boise State.
Unfortunately, they did not win (to move on) but it was a terrific experience.
Shortly before our trip, I completed a new project - a monster romance in a shared world for Evernight Publishing. I'm so excited for all the stories, and am thrilled with how mine finished up! More details to come.

As I look back on 2024, what a year!
In my author world, I had four new releases, and re-release, a completed story submitted, and two more started that'll release in June. I'm looking ahead to the latter half of 2025, getting anxious to plan my schedule.

I may have a local event (SW WA) in March, and I'm hoping to get up to the base, JBLM, north of Olympia, WA, for an author event to promote the military romance charity project.
Heroes, Holidays, and Hope

In my personal world, I completed my 24-year career as a dental hygienist. Such a bitter sweet time but necessary for my health. I'm so blessed to have my husband who is so supportive. I've been able to concentrate on writing and family. At some point, I'm sure I'll look for PT work, simply to feed my retirement. That is, unless my book sales shoot through the roof, then all bets are off! ;) That's be the dream, right?

I'm making an effort to get out and about into the community, meeting friends/readers, going to a Romance Book Club, as well as joining a studio for exercise classes. It's been a blast! From bungee fitness to moon shoes to kick boxing! Move it or lose it, right!?

As we move into this year, be kind and respectful to yourself. Take care of you; find joy; and make the most of each moment.
I'm very grateful for you, the reader. For those who send me a note, an email, a holiday card, a response on SM... I love the engagement and it's such a boost! Keep it up.
And until next time...
Be well and happy reading! xo
