ART (Alignment, Reach, Trust) — Levers to Grow Your Authentic Business

ART (Alignment, Reach, Trust) - Levers to Grow Your Authentic Business

Imagine three levers that can help grow your authentic business: Alignment, Reach, and Trust.

Increasing any one of them can help, but the best results come from increasing all three evenly.

Alignment

This means that you have offers and content that are aligned with what your audience wants. How do you know? The more aligned, the more your audience is engaged with your offers and content.

Where solopreneurs o...

The “Successful” Creators You Follow…

The “Successful” Creators You Follow…

Take a look at your social media – which “successful” creators do you follow?

Whomever we give our attention to will gradually shift our perspective of what we consider a successful person. The more we consume someone’s content, the more we take on their values and priorities.

For example, the creators who are often on vacation (it seems) or living glamorous lifestyles – the more we watch, the more it shifts our subconscious view of “success”.

I used to dream of Financial Freedom…

A Purpose Higher than Financial Freedom

I used to dream of “financial freedom”… having so much money that I could just do whatever I wanted, travel the world, give money abundantly to causes and people in need.

I invested in lots of business programs that sold me on that dream.

Eventually I realized two things…

(1) The ones selling the dreams were the ones getting rich… not those of us buying into the programs.  (Unless we also joined their ranks, and sold dreams of easy and big mone...

What I Don’t Like About The Prosperous Coach

So many of my clients have recommended The Prosperous Coach book by Steve Chandler and Rich Litvin. I’ve tried reading the book several times and couldn’t get through it, because of deep disagreements with the fundamental strategy the book espouses.

I feel like this book/movement has hoodwinked a lot of coaches. I don’t think the authors are bad people. I’m sure they have helped many people via their programs. (I’ve heard great things about them for years.) But I do think that this book offer...

💸 How much should you spend on coaching / mentoring for your business and marketing? 🤔

Someone asked what I thought about paying $20,000 per year for a business coach…

Of course, it’s fine if you’re having a very worthwhile experience, and if you are gradually paying for it. My concern is when you’re paying a large sum and the coach is new to you, yet promising you the sun, the moon, and the stars.

Many of us idealistic business owners are easily taken by big promises from authoritative-looking coaches. We can end up wasting thousands… or tens of thousands of dollars.

The m...

Authentic Business Values

I am launching my group program for next year (Authentic Business MasterHeart), for solopreneurs who resonate with a certain values set.

I’m happy to share these values publicly, with the hope that it inspires growth for all business owners.

As you read each point below, take a moment to reflect on how it aligns with your own values. I’d love any comments, questions, and even suggestions.

Authentic Business Community Values

Our business is not just a way of making money. Instead, it fe...

Even if you're not posting any content, don’t neglect to do gentle launches 🌱

Maybe it’s my fault.

I’ve written and spoken for years about how beneficial it is to be creating content consistently.

Now, some of you are feeling guilty if you aren’t being consistent with it.

You might even be letting it stop you from doing gentle launches on a consistent basis.

What’s a “gentle launch”? Very simply put: it’s posting 1-2 messages on social media (and to your email newsletter) about your current service or upcoming program.

A client said to me (and I bet some of yo...

Purity of Intention in Your Marketing

I’ve noticed that many service providers who consider themselves “spiritual” often toss their spirituality out the window when it comes to marketing.

For example, when they’re taught to use a sales/conversion funnel, they feel like they “have to” use it, even though it feels contrived and manipulative to them.

I say there’s no need for a sales funnel.

Holistic practitioners know that deep change is a long-term process, and yet in their business, they sometimes try to force short-term result...

LinkedIn – Is it helpful for non-corporate professionals such as coaches, healers, and intuitives?

LinkedIn is by far the largest professional networking platform. It is an alternative to Facebook/Instagram for connecting to colleagues and potential clients.

Some people assume that it’s only for corporate employees and salespeople, not realizing that LinkedIn made a drastic shift in 2017 to begin competing with Facebook as a broadly social-networking and content-discovery platform.

Is LinkedIn useful for non-corporate professionals such as holistic healers and coaches?

I took a survey of...

“All the successful people do it this way.”

Recently I’ve spoken to several who have spent around $50,000 USD on business/marketing coaching or trainings… and often because they didn't realize those marketers are selling to their trauma.

Sadly, much of the persuasion psychology being used (and taught) in marketing – the stoking of fear, uncertainty, doubt (FUD) – “works” on people with traumatic backgrounds…

I’m not an expert in trauma and its healing, but some of you are. I welcome your comments below – if you want to share your ins...
