Crystal clear for Crystal White

I’ve told you about a book by this author before, but here is a reminder that Crystal White by David DeLee is available from that well-known vendor of ebooks called Amazon. He sure knows how to write a thrilling story and if that isn’t recommendation enough, here’s the blurb…

With Nothing Left to Live for, Will Even Death Satisfy His Need For Revenge? And if so, Whose?

In California, DEA agent Nick Lafferty led the investigation to eradicate a new and deadly form of synthetic crack cocaine called Crystal White. An investigation that took from him everything he cherished, and left Lafferty a broken man. A man with nothing to live for.

Now, the street poison Crystal White again floods the streets, this time in the northern suburbs of New York City.

Aided by his ex-partner, Delmar Harley, an alcoholic cop on the edge and dogged by a beautiful assistant district attorney who believes the DEA agent’s gone rogue, Nick Lafferty relentlessly embarks on a dark and vengeful journey of revenge, mounting a full-on assault against the Crystal White drug cartel. Nick Lafferty will stop at nothing to make them pay…with their lives–or his.

Book One in the exciting Nick Lafferty Thriller Series by Award-winning Author David DeLee

“Crystal White is a dark portrayal of the evil that men–and women–can do.” – SUSPENSE MAGAZINE

“It’s a perfect fit in the crime detective novel world.” – READERS VIEWS

Around the Corner

A quick update on what I’ve been up to recently – and I assume you are not interested in seeing my holiday snaps taken in Spain.

First, I’ve been working on the latest version of the website. I mentioned I was taking all my ebooks wide ie I am selling them both on Amazon as well as other fine resellers such as Apple Books, B&N and Kobo. Well, that was the first phase. Hopefully by the start of September, I shall also be selling my ebooks and paperbacks direct from the website so you’ll be able to buy my books to read on your Kindle, Nook, Kobo, tablet, phone etc without going to a different website. I’ll let you know when it is live, of course, but I am quite excited.

Second, I have been carrying on writing the sequel to the soon-to-be-launched The Bowery Slugger, part of the Alex Cohen crime series. Set in the 1920s, I am a few weeks away from completing a draft which stretches from the aftermath of World War I to the St Valentine’s Day massacre and beyond into the formation of the Five Families. Pretty stoked. To remind myself how fact and fiction can be merged, I’ve been watching a volley of biographical films like Al Capone with Rod Steiger, Lansky with Richard Dreyfuss, Lepke starring Tony Curtis and Murder Inc, which introduced a young Peter Falk to the world.

Facing the storm

And here is a fab opportunity to check out an exciting short story collection called Facing the Storm. Available through all great bookstores (named after long rivers) this is the first book in David DeLee’s latest series.

I should point out that that your thrills are tinged with tales from the US Coast Guard. If that floats your boat then fill your boots!

Short sharp: no shock

I have only been writing as Leo B for a handful of years and I consider myself a new writer – and I am not alone. There are plenty of fresh-faced scribblers out there and a bunch have got together so you can sample their efforts in Take a Leap, which offers you a chance to grab a free copy of some new writing talent.

Lagotti Family spreads its wings

As I mentioned before, I have taken the bold step of moving away from an exclusive arrangement with Amazon and you can know buy my ebooks at Amazon, B&N, Kobo and Apple Books. My paperbacks have been ‘wide’ for quite some time.

This means you can now pick up a copy of The Heist, The Getaway, Powder and Mama’s Gone – or even buy the complete collection of the Lagotti Family series – from any of the main platforms.

If you have a particular fave site to download eBooks that I am not covering then do let me know.

And, while I’m here, don’t forget that the stand-alone private eye story, The Case, is still available from Amazon – and will be on the other platforms by the end of September.
