My Fairy Workshops
You are welcome to come and enjoy one of our morning workshops or to combine a Saturday, Sunday (or Thursday and Friday).
Time: Thurs, Fri or Saturday morning for 3 hours 10.30- 1.30pm (or others by appointment). Morning tea is included. I offer a discount of $300 for 2 consecutive days workshops (you an choose which ones). Often held out in our beautiful country cottage gardens, you are sure to be inspired by the beauty and the psychic information the plant fairies give you. The spring months of October and November are particularly beautiful times to visit our garden with a nature workshop or two! Workshops are $160 for 3 hours of intensive and fun, teaching often in and around our gardens.

Six On Saturday – Glorious Irises and Other Delights!
It seems like it was only yesterday when the first bearded irises flowered, now there are quite a few on full bloom. This garden bed is two years old. Here we have the lovely Eagle’s Flight and the evocatively named Lemon Custard. They gently mingle with sweet peas, calendulas, verbenas and the start of the roses. I just placed sweet peas, everywhere, where I knew they would get watered. The fairies sowed the rest, each sweet pea this year has come up in a favourite colour of mine! A bright white one, plus a blush pink, candy pink, dark pink, pale blue and purple. Thank you fairies!
The lovely Eagle’s Flight iris
A view of the back garden. It is just starting to come into full bloom. But the roses have yet to start. Most of the gaps are filled here, so no room for pesky weeds to enter and more time for gardening. (Plus a feature Hill’s Hoist an Australian backyard icon, and very good to dry your clothes on!).
Our side garden, I call this my New Rose garden, a lovely cross view of the snow white daises and purple native hibiscus, fairy statice, arctotis and ostespermum daisies. In the past week the amount of interesting butterflies here was very enjoyable to behold.
The overcast weather brings out the colour in the flowers.
Alyogyne huegelii and Eremophila nivea (emu bush) in all their purple loveliness.
Plus one more for good luck! Native hibiscus, daisy and iris glory.That’s all from me. Follow the Six on Saturday tag for more garden beauties form around the world!

Iris, Iris Everywhere!
It started with a few bearded iris last week and now the garden has burst into iris bloom. Iris like cool nights and warm days. Also full sun and occasional water. They cope with our hot summers with supreme grace. Plus the fun part is they multiply every year so one iris becomes two and so forth.

More lovelies, Champagne Journey is the frilly purple one on the bottom and the blush pink is Pink Champagne.
