Hong Kong man caught smuggling 94 iPhones into mainland ChinaA man from Hong Kong was caught by customs officials at the Futian port in Shenzhen, Guangdong province with 94 iPhone handsets strapped across his body on January 11. The unidentified man, dressed in a red sports jacket and sweatpants, gave himself away to officials with his stiff walking and awkward posture—he'd only been carrying two plastic shopping bags with him. Oh, and the alarm at the metal detection gate went off as he'd tried going through. The man reportedly had a history of smuggling expensive electronics into the mainland from Hong Kong. Yep, this is what I've been saying all along,
From article: 'The impact of not having the love and attention of a dedicated carer is profound. It can cause stunting, developmental delays and psychological trauma. I have seen babies who have learned not to cry because nobody comes. I have met children so desperate for affection that they will crawl into any stranger’s lap.'

Here's a question to my readers. This week there's been a lot of buzz about a blog post that Nora Roberts wrote. The title was 'Bite Me' and was to a few who keep coming to her blog or Facebook page and telling her how much they didn't like her books, even on posts where she is announcing a new release. She said that is rude, like coming to her dinner party and telling her the food is awful, but others say it is a public space and should be allowed. doesn't deny that readers have a right to their opinion, she just thinks negative opinions should be posted on sites that encourage reviews, not the author's own Facebook pages. Personally, I think she's right. This here is my author page and if I want to keep it positive and keep out the naysayers, then that's what I'll do. What do you think? Should a reader be allowed to come to an author's page (Facebook, twitter, or blog) and spout off about how much they think that author's writing sucks?
