Halls of Power Audiobook Live!
Hello, everyone! I just got word that the audiobook of Halls of Power is live on Amazon and Audible! Unfortunately iTunes usually takes a few days to get the files, but it should be up this week! Below are the links.

October 8th Update
My birthday has come and gone, as it is wont to do. Thank those of you who gave well-wishes. I’m expecting to get the edited version of Born a Queen back tomorrow, at which point I’ll be able to do the final bits of polish before its release on the 21st, and I’ll be able to update the release date to such at the same time. Well, likely Tuesday, but that’s how it goes.
I’ve made some progress on Marin’s Codex, and am up to a bit over 5,000 words. Not terribly long, so far, but I’m anticipating...

The Extended Ending
Remember how I said I was going to extend the ending of Halls of Power? Well, I did.
If you’re one of those who really wanted to read it, you can Read it Here.
When I do the Ancient Dreams Omnibus, this will be part of what I put into it, but that’s quite a ways down the road for me. I have a great many stories to write, and there are things that will need fixing in all three books before they can be put into an omnibus. Still, it’s something that’s definitely on my list of ‘things to do.’
Ho...

October 1st Update
It’s the first of October, so I have some news! First, the audiobook of Halls of Power is waiting for Audible to approve it. If things go well, it could be up by mid-October, but if they don’t, it could be a longer wait. I’m paying much closer attention to the time-frame this time, and will contact them as soon as it hits the outer limit of when they say to expect approval.
I also started work on Marin’s Codex, but I’ve been taking my time with it, trying to get the start right. It’s an impor...

Musings of Monsters
First, I’ll start by letting you all know that I don’t have any news since Sunday on the release date of anything. I have found a narrator for Born a Queen, but I’m not going to announce anything until we’re closer to the end. As much as I’d like to say it’d be out quickly after the release of the book, it probably won’t be out until near the end of December.
Now, on to the titular musings!
When I was primarily a reader, I thought it would be easy to come up with dozens of new and unique mons...

September 24th Update
Right, so as I said last week, Born a Queen is off at the editor. That means that I’m going to start getting together ARC readers via my newsletter soon to review the book. I will warn that I keep the team small, though, so it wouldn’t be a guarantee to get a copy.
I mentioned on Wednesday that I had a story come out of nowhere and prompt me to write it. Well, it’s done. Only a bit over 6,000 words (~24 pages, give or take), and it isn’t really a full story. The characters could prompt a full...

An Irrepressible Imagination
So, I actually was trying to take a short vacation from writing or editing. Born a Queen is at the editor, and I hired a proof-listener to go through Halls of Power to find errors, as I found that I really don’t enjoy going over the manuscript at the same time as the text. I figured that it was a good chance to take a break and try not to let myself push too hard.
Oh, what a mistake that was.
By the end of Monday, I was irritable and frustrated. I couldn’t focus on any of my games, none of th...

September 17th Update
Last night I sent Born a Queen off to the editor, so it’s away! I’m not sure how quickly it’ll get back from me, but unlike prior books, I’m not going to move up the release date a ton. Anticipate that it’ll be out around October 21st, and you’ll be pretty close to right. And I’ll also add that this is at least partially because I first started writing Ancient Ruins on October 22nd of 2016, so I’m going for a bit of symmetry to the release. It floors me that I released the entire Ancient Drea...

September 10th Update
So, I mentioned that I started on the second round of edits to Born a Queen. I’m currently a little less than halfway through the story, reading it aloud to spot more errors. The length hasn’t been impacted much as of yet, so things are looking good.
I’m also looking at different audiobook narrators for Born a Queen, trying to find one that I feel will fit the story most. I’m not sure how close to launch it’ll come, mind. Still, everything is coming along well.
In all honesty, I don’t have mu...

BaQ Progress!
So, yesterday I got feedback from the last of my Alpha Reader team on Born a Queen, and today I’m starting my second round of work on the book. There are a few things to tweak, but to my relief they didn’t find any horribly warped monstrosities within that I needed to nuke from orbit.
I’ll admit I’ve been playing Starcraft: Remastered lately, so nukes are on the brain. Anyway…
At the moment Born a Queen is about 93,500 words. Ignoring the front-matter, the Foreword, the Author’s Note, and the...
