March 25th, 2018 Update

This week Down with the Queen comes out! The release date is Friday the 30th, and unlike last time, I’ve also made certain it’s scheduled to come out in Kindle Unlimited. Pardon me while I glower at Marin’s Codex over that.

A Brief Break

So, I’ve had a heck of a month. I’m not going to go into specifics, because you’re all following me for my writing, not to hear me gripe about stuff around the house. That being said, I’ve been under a lot of stress since about the 7th. I… don’t deal well with stress. I zone out, shut down, and can’t get much that’s productive done. Yesterday that spiked hard, fortunately after I sent out the ARCs on Monday, so it isn’t going to interfere there.

March 18th, 2018 Update

Down with the Queen is at the editor, so I’m stuck spinning my wheels at the moment. The issues around the house have been making it difficult to concentrate on writing, which hasn’t been fun to deal with. I’m hoping the mess gets sorted out this week, but we’ll see. I want my house back to normal. Anyway, most of what I’ve been doing is bookkeeping and trying to figure out better spreadsheets for tracking sales and the like, not anything terribly interesting unless you’re an accountant.

The World of Senkar

So, last week I went over a bit of how Ancient Dreams was inspired by Senkar, but despite my rambling I didn’t really give a lot of information about the setting. This week I’ll try to fix that.

March 11th, 2018 Update

I’ve received feedback from the Beta Team for the most part, and I’m giving Down with the Queen a last editing pass before sending it off to the editor. Unless disaster strikes, the book will be ready for the release with plenty of time. We’ll see in the end, but I’m excited to see the book in the wild!

Senkar and Ancient Dreams

As I’m still waiting on feedback from the Beta team, I thought I’d discuss something else, the world which Through the Fire and the majority of Sisters of Radiance is set it. I named this world Senkar, though that name is a relatively recent invention. Originally I called the world by the name of the primary continent I was focusing on, but that no longer felt appropriate, so I named the world.

Down with the Queen has been sent to the Beta readers. I’ll be honest, I’m well-ahead of schedule with it, and if it weren’t for the fact my editor can’t get to the book before the 19th, I’d be looking at moving its release date closer. Alas, that isn’t possible, so Down with the Queen is going to have to wait until the 30th. Down with the Queen Pre-Order

So, Down with the Queen‘s pre-order is now live on Amazon. As you can see, it’s scheduled for release on March 30th. Things look good for that release date, which makes me happy.

Now, for other news on Down with the Queen. After discussion with my Alpha Team, I’ve come to the conclusion that book 2 is the end of the current story arc.
