August 12th 2018 Update

There’s a week and a day to the release of The Avatar’s Flames. I’m nervous, but that’s how it goes. The first ARC reviews have started going up, and they’re helping relieve some of my nervousness.

Queen of Ice is up to about 28,000 words, so likely a bit over 25% of the way done. August 5th 2018 Update

So, with The Avatar’s Flames just over 2 weeks out, I’ve been working on the second book of the trilogy, Queen of Ice. It’s up to 15,000 words, or call it 15% of the way complete at a guess. I’d say I’m skeptical of it getting to that length, but I’ve learned that I’m terrible at figuring out exactly how long the content I have will be, so who knows. July 29th 2018 Update

I mentioned last week that I was working on a short story after the events of Down with the Queen, and I finished that easily enough. Nothing even as exciting as A Date Gone Awry, just information that I’d feel bad skipping, yet which doesn’t fit into DwtQ or into whatever I name the next book.

Once I finished that, I went ahead and started on Queen of Ice. I don’t have much written so far, just ~2,500 words, but it’s a start. I did get artwork for it, though, so here’s the cover art by June...

July 22 2018 Update

I’ve finished the second full edit of The Avatar’s Flames, and now I’m just waiting for the editor’s scheduled opening. I think the book turned out well overall, now I just need to see if everyone else agrees!

July 15th, 2018 Update

Today the Ancient Dreams Omnibus was released! Perhaps it isn’t as exciting as a new release, but I’m glad to see it out, as it reduces my distractions. I’ve got a bunch more news for this week as well, so I’d best get to it.

July 8th Update

The first draft of The Avatar’s Flames is complete, at just over 102,000 words, and is currently being read by my Alpha Readers. Feedback has been generally favorable thus far, so that’s good! I do not have a release date just yet, but I very well might by next Sunday… which incidentally happens to be the release date of the Ancient Dreams Omnibus on Amazon. No, I didn’t plan on it, it just happened to work out that way.

July 1st 2018 Update

Alas, I did not finish the rough draft of The Avatar’s Flames this past week. The document is a bit over 91,000 words, and I’m estimating it’ll take about two to four more chapters to complete, so finishing it this week is very likely. Regardless, I want to point out this won’t make it come out earlier, as the editor can’t get to it until mid-August. The sooner I get it done, though, the sooner I can get started on the next book.

June 24th 2018 Update

The Avatar’s Flames is currently sitting at just over 77,500 words, and I hope to finish the rough draft this week. I’m not certain I will, but it has even odds, though those odds are reduced if the week goes like the last one. I’m recovering from having a tooth extracted, and the side effects have impacted my ability to focus. I’m hoping to get back to normal, though.
