October 13th Update

This past week I didn’t get much done, primarily because I went on a vacation with my wife, who decided that Disneyland was in order. I rather thoroughly exhausted myself on the trip, and didn’t quite manage to finish reviewing Down with the Queen, which I hope to manage today or tomorrow, so I can get to work on Queen’s Move.

Additionally, the trip also gave me some interesting ideas for stories, though I’m shelving them for the time being. I have quite enough ideas as it is, which makes it...

October 6th 2019 Update

Crisis of Faith is now off to the editor, so it’s on-track for its release on November 4th! After editing it came to just over 107,000 words, and I’m rather happy with it. I’m working on figuring out a narrator at the moment, but I don’t have any news to share just yet. I’m hoping to get Gabriella Cavallero to narrate it, but that isn’t necessarily possible.

This week isn’t going to have much progress, just to give everyone fair warning. I’m going on a vacation, plus I’m going to be re-readin...

September 29th 2019 Update

I have feedback from my alpha readers on Crisis of Faith, so it’s now ready for me to edit! There are a few points that are going to need more significant attention, but for the most part the book came out in good shape, so I’m looking forward to getting it edited.

In regards to Queen’s Move, I did start writing on it, but not much is there yet, only a little over 1,000 words. I’m planning to read Born a Queen and Down with the Queen again before getting into it fully, just to be sure I’m wri...

September 22nd 2019 Update

My Alpha readers aren’t all done with Crisis of Faith, but enough of them are (and liked it!) that I decided to put up the pre-order, which is set for November 4th. One thing I’d like to note, I’m giving a slight discount on the book for the first week of its pre-order, and it’ll increase in price after that. Not by much, mind you, but it’s worth noting!

Order Crisis of Faith on Amazon.com

Also, as the question has come up a few times, Crisis of Faith is set approximately four months after th...

September 15th 2019 Update

This past week I finished the rough draft of Crisis of Faith, and it came to a bit over 106,000 words. Now, I’m expecting a fair bit of editing, which I’m going to start on tomorrow, but I’m not sure if the length will be impacted much. Hopefully I’ll get a description and pre-order up at some point this week, but no promises!

On my Patreon I’ve been working on book 2 of the Beesong Chronicles, Webs & Wards, and that’s coming along well. If it ends up at close to the length of Sting & Song, i...

September 8th 2019 Update

Crisis of Faith is up to ~92,500 words, and I think I’m going to finish the rough draft this week, though I’m not absolutely sure on that. Either way, it’s definitely coming to a close, which I’m quite happy about! It’s fascinating coming back to the characters again, and my biggest worry is that the tone of the writing may have changed with over a year of separation. We shall see!

Nothing has changed on the release date as far as I can tell, so I’m still expecting a late October release date...

September 1st 2019 Update

Hell’s Ascendant is released tomorrow! That’s the first thing that I wanted to make clear, of course, but it’s hardly the only thing. Crisis of Faith is up to ~80,000 words, and I’m pretty sure it’ll hit 90,000 before it’s finished, at the very least. I also started on Webs & Wards, the next book after Sting & Song, which will continue to be a side project (unless that series takes off like a rocket, then priorities may shift). Both Crisis of Faith and Webs & Wards are going to have chapters...

Sting & Song Released!

Sting & Song is now live! I’m excited to share Joy with all of you, and hope that anyone who reads the book enjoys it! At present there is only the ebook and paperback available, but I’ve scheduled the audiobook’s production, and it should be done in late October, and available in early November.

I hope everyone has a great weekend, and Hell’s Ascendant will be out Monday!

August 25th 2019 Update

Crisis of Faith is up to ~67,500 words, which means it’s coming along well. I’ve had fun revisiting Sistina and the others so far, even if the dungeon is playing second fiddle in the story. Things have taken a few twists that I didn’t expect when I started the book, but I’m happy with how it’s going.

In any case, this week Sting & Song is going to be released, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what people make of it. I have to say, the main character has been more fun to write than alm...

August 18th 2019 Update

First off, Crisis of Faith is up to 55,000 words! I’m absolutely stoked that it’s coming along well, and hope that this keeps up at its current rate.

Now, on to other matters, and how things have just gotten weird for me. My editor had a cancellation early this past week, and it was just large enough for Sting & Song to fit into. I debated a little, but decided to take the slot, which was for this weekend, and means I’ll have the book back and ready by the middle of this upcoming week.

I cons...
