Though she still dreams of country life, Debbie Burns currently lives in a gingerbread house in Saint Louis along with her family, two phenomenal rescue dogs, and a somewhat tetchy Maine Coon cat who everyone loves anyway. Her hobbies include hiking, gardening, and daydreaming, which of course always leads to new story ideas.

Debbie’s writing commendations include a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly and a TOP PICK from RT Book Reviews for A NEW LEASH ON LOVE, as well as an Amazon Best book of the Month and a 2019 HOLT Medallion Award for My FOREVER HOME. Although the further into a manuscript I get, the easier words flow, I still LOVE writing that first chapter. I'm taking a quick hiatus though to complete revisions on book two of the series, Sit, Stay, Love, which is scheduled to be released in May, 2018.
