My Forever Home by Debbie Burns is a 2018 Sourcebooks Casablanca publication.

I’m a huge animal lover, so naturally, I’m a sucker for any story that features pets and animals. This one is centered around Tess Grasso, a veterinary school dropout, who dreams of opening her own pet therapy business, and Mason Redding, a professional baseball player recuperating from an injury that has him temporarily sidelined.

The couple bonds over a stray Husky. They give the dog a very special name, which was ve

My Forever Home is a touching story centered on two individuals and the dog that brought them together. Tess Grasso has returned to St. Louis and is ready to start her own dog therapy business but has hit a snag when she spots a man in need of help. Mason Redding is beside himself when he can’t catch his neighbor’s dog when he escaped his leash. It’s a cute meet that neither expected and more of a pleasant surprise for Mason. Tess doesn’t recognize St. Louis Red Bird third baseman and one of the

For a while, Tess Grasso backpacked throughout Europe but she's back to stay with her grandmother, now that her grandfather passed away. After a couple of back lucks happening to her, it's safe to say that Tess is quite unlucky. But what began as a misfortune when she helped a stranger with a dog w ...more

I really enjoy this series that centers around a pet shelter in St Louis.  This is the third book in the series and Tess was introduced in the second book, Sit, Stay, Love and I have to say I wanted to know more about her and her background so I was glad to see this was the next book in the series.  We also see many familiar characters such as Patrick, Megan, Kelsey, and Kurt.  I believe in the second book there was mention of Mason but I can't remember for sure.

I find it interesting that Tess h

Again a pretty sweet read. Our heroine is struggling to get her business of the ground, and our hero is struggling after an injury. The heroine comes to his rescue without knowing about his fame or money and he loves that. Once again I loved how slow burn the romance was. The characters actually got to know each other and spend time together. Another great read.
I adored the book before this in the series and wanted to keep going with more of the same heartwarming romance and cutie shelter dog co-stars. I found it moderately engaging and enjoyed the rescue shelter world once again.

My Forever Home takes up the story of Tess who does dog therapy and Mason a baseball player who is recovering from an injury along with John Ronald a stray Huskie. The book is third in the Rescue Me series and is connected to the other two with recurring characters and the she

My Forever Home by Debbie Burns is the 3rd book in her Rescue Me series. Once again Debbie Burns gives us a wonderful sweet story that is based around an animal shelter, with a sweet couple and a fantastic dog.

Tess Grasso, our heroine, has always loved animals, and was planning to be a vet, but things changed, as she wanted to do something more. Tess is wonderful with the animals, knowing how to handle them in all kinds of situations and her knowledge and love for them shows.

Any book that has pets in it, and especially one with an emphasis on rescue animals, is a winner for me. Tess is trying to start a pet therapy business, and she stops to help a man get his energetic dog back on the leash. The dog is recovered easily enough, but in the meantime, someone has stolen Tess's belongings. Her business plan, client testimonials and all of her research, gone. Little does she know, the man she helped and is in danger of falling for is none other than professional baseball ...more

I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

Tess is amazing with animals. She wanted to be a vet, but realized that she wanted more than to just fix broken or sick animals. When she realizes that she is floundering, she heads back to her grandma's house to figure out what her next steps are. Tess was the accidental child and she knew it. But, once she came to grips with it, she realized that she had a lot of love, jus

Tess Grosso wants to open her own healthy pet canine consulting business. Her latest proposal to the owner of Pouches and Pooches which sells upscale pet products doesn't go as well as she had hoped. While outside waiting for a bus to return home after her disappointing meeting Tess sees a guy chasing a runaway dog. "He's doing this all wrong" was Tess' first thought. Then it was time for action. Tess raced across the road to help the poor guy catch the pooch. Girl catches pooch. Guy is grateful ...more

My Forever Home is a wonderfully cozy and heartwarming read. It is just made to tug at you, through both animal and people. You totally understand why Mason keeps who he is from Tessa and the revelation works well with their relationship as it has developed. And while there is the opportunity, I really appreciate that Burns avoids melodrama and handles issues quickly and realistically.

While I feel that Mason had good development as a character, I do wish we’d gotten a little more of Tessa’s fami

My Forever Home is the third story in the Rescue Me series. And once again my heart was captured by not only this couple but a stray Husky with definite opinions of his own (in his own unique voice).

Tess and Mason make an interesting couple, each with a love of dogs, strays of the world and the work they do. Unfortunately, Tess is unaware of Mason’s real job, as a professional baseball player and a rather famous one as well. That oversight on Mason’s part will matter

This turned out great!

I will be forever grateful for the day when I was walking through Walmart last year and discovered a paperback copy of the first of the Rescue Me series. Nowhere near the book section of the store, it seemed to be placed next to the dog food I was purchasing specifically so that I could discover it. I took a chance, and brought it home with me.
I read through the first book in two days. Soon after, I couldn't get these characters out of my head, so I purchased the second on

OMG This book is puptastic!

The first thing that caught my attention with this book on # NetGalley was the cover, the big fluffy dog, the red coat and the snowy background. I am a sucker for festive romance and pups, so this was a must read.

Whilst the festive season was a background theme and not the main event didn’t put me off as the plot sucked me in from the first page. I had not read book one in the Rescue Me series, but that is on me and my error will soon be rectified.

The characters are m

This was my first read by Debbie Burns and it will definitely not be my last! I absolutely love her writing style. The characters are well-written and complex as well as relatable. The story telling is flawless and flows effortlessly with great description and wonderful dialogue. The cover grabbed me first, and then I was wrapped up in the story from the beginning and fell in love with the characters. I didn’t even realize this was part of a series. I can’t wait to go back and read the other boo ...more

This is a sweet adorable read with a loveable couple and some very cute puppies, My Forever Home is book 3 in the Rescue Me Series but it certainly can be read as a stand-alone, I know this because I haven’t read the previous books in this series and because Debbie Burns is a new author to me.

My Forever Home is a wonder sweet read with amazing characters and some of the cutest pups around. Debbie Burns and this series is new to me but now that I've had a sample of her writing and stories I will definitely be going back and reading the first two books. I read this with no problem so it is definitely a standalone.

This one was very cute. I liked that both Mason and Tess seem to be at a crossroads in their lives. Mason realizing that he needs to change his life, to be more real, while Tess is striving to find her place in life. I loved that they both got to do this together, the dogs were just an extra bonus. Bonding over a misbehaving dog was a great way to met, even if Tess lost something in the process. I liked Mason tried to return the favor for Tess and how he tried to replace what was lost.

A Sweet, Clean Holiday Romance with Furbabies💚
This will stretch your heartstrings so good. I loved this read, including furbabies of all sizes and origins😉.
Mason had a great outlook, had overcome a lot. I understand why he did what he did regarding Tess. He didn't take advantage of her, but knew he wanted her.
Tess confused me a bit at first as she was so insecure and sure didn't act very mature, but understanding came later.
The true hero was a magnificent, super intelligent stray, Mason named

My Forever Home by Debbie Burns is a sweet romantic novel. It's definitely for all animal lovers. This journey took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride for both the furry animals and their humans. There was plenty of humor and romance to enjoy. Some scenes that left me tingling with anticipation of what was to come. Next, there were moments like the loss of an animal's life and possible to loss of more. Sad and happy paths are found, here. I enjoyed watching the human characters grow closer. T ...more

This is the third book in the Recuse me series by Debbie Burns. I read the first one and saw that Net Galley had the this one available for review. This is part of the series but can be read as a standalone.

I enjoyed it. I really like the shelter and how they care for the animals. This one is about Tess who is back from living in Europe. She was to start a dog trainer/therapy business and goes to work at the shelter. She meets Mason who is walking his neighbor's dog. She seems to be the only pe

Excellent book! This is the third book in the Rescue Me series and I enjoyed a return visit to the High Grove Animal Shelter. This book, however, is a stand-alone that isn't dependent on the having read the first two books (although I can recommend them as excellent reads as well). This is a touching story of Tess and Mason, with a supporting role by John Ronald, the stray that helps get them together. Getting to read a few glimpses from John Ronald's perspective was a fun touch. I was drawn in ...more

Tess and Mason are a cute couple but the the pups are even cuter! Tess is back from Europe & is trying to set up her dog training & therapy business. She stumbles across Mason one day. He’s suffered a potentially career ending injury & is surprised she has no idea who he is. He enjoys her company due to this. I loved Tess’s grandma. She’s Italian & knows exactly who he is but is matchmaking & keeps it to herself. I enjoyed the storyline with the male dog & the puppies. Th ...more

My Forever Home is definitely for the animal lover! Thanks go to the publisher, via Net-Galley, for a chance to read and review an advance reader copy of this book. My opinions are my own and are not influenced in any way.

This is an interesting read. I believe it is the first book I’ve ever read where one of the main characters is an animal, including his POV. The writing is smooth and has some engaging moments that had me chuckling.

My Forever Home is engaging, compelling, and wonderful to read. This is my first chance to read this authors work and I am glad that I got to chance to read this book. I know that it is part of a series so I will have to read the other two now that I am finished with this one. The two main characters Tess and Mason were perfect together. If you are an animal lover such as myself you will enjoy this book as much as I did.

This book was by far one of my favorite Christmas reads this year. The story of Tess and Mason was heartwarming but John Ronald the husky made this book. The telling of a dog who lost his trust of people young, who rebuilt that with patience and love was inspiring. I recommend this book to anyone who needs their heart broken then put together by a beloved dog.
