Video games are a waste of entrepreneur's time

This is not to knock games, as they are good form of entertainment, but they are a bit of a waste of time. When asked why I don't play games anymore or as many as I used to, I reply "there are better things to do with my time, such as write a book, build a blog or build a business".Back in October 2014 I was working with a small company that made apps and video games, I was their animator. On our way out of the office, myself and the main guy in charge were talking and he asked me "what kind of games do you play?", and I replied "mostly business simulation games". To which he replied- and I will never forget this- "why don't you do it for real?"It was at this point that further reinforced my desire to push forward into entrepreneurship and, potentially, was the death-nail in my desire to play videos games.I used to play a lot of games from 2002-2010. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, The Outfit, Halo 2, 3 and 3, as well as Civilisation V. I even studied how to make games from 2009-2014, after which I realised that I was more of a leader, than follower and that games was not quite for me because I always had a niggling feeling where I was asking myself: "what value do videos games bring to society? To the world? And to civilisation?"In 2012 I realised the principle that even if you spend time playing a game; you subsequently, get nothing accomplished in real life. This did not come to fruition until September 2014, where upon  I got a free game online, and I played it for 8 hours, after which I realised that I did not like the game and that I had accomplished nothing in my life by playing this game. So, I stopped playing that game and have never touched it since. So now, I rarely play games, more so as way to relax and take my mind off work- but rarely does this happen. But, to play a game all day and all week, leads to not much being accomplished in your life. They are a great form of entertainment and a nice past time, but too much of them and they are a waste of time. A costly distraction. The real cost of a video game is not the cost to buy the game, but the time taken away from your business or from focusing on other, more important, things.Question of the day: what are you doing that you know is a waste of time?Read about other mistakes I have made here.Want to know how I can help you more: https://www.nantchev.com/consultingLearn more about me: https://www.nantchev.com/Subscribe to me on Youtube: youtube.com/nantchevFollow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adriannantchev/

Who is responsible for your entrepreneurial failures?

You are- you are 100% responsible for your failures in life. No one else to blame. When you are with your team, then all successes and failures are down to you- because there is always something else that you could have done to ensure your team had success.Always boil down your results into what you did or did not do. There is always something that you could have done that would have made things better...I was recording for a TV channel and I needed some glue to demonstrate my product, it did not arrive in the post until the day after the filming. It was my fault it arrived late because had I ordered it when I first realised I needed it, then it would have arrived on time.Always think: what could I do better? What am I missing? What do I not know?Which is good, because this way you know who to blame for your mistakes and you have 100% control over ensuring this does not happen again.Question of the day: what are you doing now to reduce your failures?Read more about entrepreneurs mistakes to avoid:101 Entrepreneurs Mistakes and Lessons.Want to know how I can help you more: https://www.nantchev.com/consultingLearn more about me: https://www.nantchev.com/Subscribe to me on Youtube: youtube.com/nantchevFollow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adriannantchev/

You are.Every right decision you make, every correct knowledge you learn and apply. It is all down to you. No one is to blame for your successes but you.Only you will see success in your life when you have the right attitude towards it.If you do not have a success, then it means there is a blockage in your business somewhere. You just need to find the blockage and remedy it. Something is stopping your customers from buying, something is stopping people from believing you. Something is stopping you. It is down to you to figure it out and correct it.Question of the day: what are you doing now to see success?Learn about this and other things:101 entrepreneur mistakes and lessons.Want to know how I can help you more: https://www.nantchev.com/consultingLearn more about me: https://www.nantchev.com/Subscribe to me on Youtube: youtube.com/nantchevFollow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adriannantchev/

Destroying Doubts as an Entrepreneur

Doubt can only really be dealt with from inside of yourself- you have to endeavour to argue against yourself better than your opposition can argue against you. Because, as you argue against yourself, you then begin to reinforce what you already believe in and you endeavour to find weaknesses in your argument or defences, so you reinforce them. And as you do that you believe more in what you are doing.Furthermore, start with something small- so small that it does not matter how much time or money you lose. As you start small, with resources that you can afford to lose, then you expand your comfort zone, which helps you to then do bigger and better things. When you start small and makes mistakes, you can then go onto bigger and better things.Learn more in my book: 101 Entrepreneur Mistakes and Lessons.Want to know how I can help you more: https://www.nantchev.com/consultingLearn more about me: https://www.nantchev.com/Subscribe to me on Youtube: youtube.com/nantchevFollow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adriannantchev/

The problem with entrepreneurs listening to the news

The problem is rather straight forward: whenever you read or hear about things online, then the money has already been made. When you hear about the price of oil or Bitcoin going to an all time new high, then the money on the climb has already been made, it is also the same when the it reaches an all time new low.It is what happens behind the scene where the money is made. It is a good way to hear about things and potential new investments, because the news source is not going to give you investment advice- that is much more expensive than just watching television and putting up with a few adverts. The information online and on television is very much watered down or is out of date.Question of the day: what news sources are you listening to and where are you taking your information from?Learn about other mistakes I have made:101 Entrepreneur Mistakes and Lessons.Want to know how I can help you more: https://www.nantchev.com/consultingLearn more about me: https://www.nantchev.com/Subscribe to me on Youtube: youtube.com/nantchevFollow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adriannantchev/

How NOT to make money online as an entrepreneur

There are a few different things to consider when it comes to making money online- a lot of people will tell you how to make money, but very few will tell you how not to make money online. Here are a few tips:Be careful about MLM- as you can learn a lot from them, such as sales skills and expanding your comfort zone, but more often than not they are a scam and/or have shady business practises. The trick is to follow the money, as this is a sign as to whether it is a legitimate business or not. I recently heard about a documentary called Betting on Zero, which accordingly, exposes Herbalife as the "world's largest pyramid scheme". MLM is good to get into early and/or with a big and loyal following, but it is not something you stick with forever. As a entrepreneur you have to endeavour to appreciate the process more so than the reward- enjoy the process and the grind. You have to enjoy the daily grind and daily process, as well as the reward. You have en enjoy hunting for the rainbow just as much as finding the pot of gold at the end of it. Because, when you do not enjoy the process, it can wear you down...Most gurus about passive income are bollocks, because there is no such thing as true passive income: because you have to work for it. You have to maintain and regulate it and Ii is 10 dark years of work, struggle, and grinding, followed by years of pleasure, reward and caviar. It is possible to be sat on a beach working on your business from your laptop, but it takes time and energy to get to that point as well as to maintain it.Be careful of free advice- whether it is from YouTube or from the 1st page on google, because that information is worth exactly the amount of money you paid for it, as there is a difference between value and price: price is what you pay and value is what you get.Do not jump onto the biggest trend- think for yourself.Do long listen to everyone you hear online, because not every knows what they are talking about. Some peoples' information products may be worthwhile, but you may read 3+ books on a subject and know more than most other people. The secret to success to engage in more voluntarily transactions. Give people more excuses to pay you money. Be consistent, concentrate and co-operate. I am co-operating with people by the podcast I started recently.Question of the day: what are you doing that you know to be wrong?Read more about this in my book: 101 Entrepreneur Mistakes and Lessons.Want to know more: https://www.nantchev.com/consultingLearn more about me: https://www.nantchev.com/Subscribe to me on Youtube: youtube.com/nantchevFollow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adriannantchev/

How can an entrepreneur create content that people will love?

When it comes to creating content to expand your online presence or to educate your audience, there are a few principles that I follow.Firstly, everything you do has got to pass, what I call the "so what?" test. Meaning that everything you create for your customers they have got to care and give a sh*t about it. If you fail to create content that passes the "so what?" test, then people will not care for your content, they will overlook it and consume someone else' content.Secondly, your content has got to solve a pressing problem that your audience has- it must solve a specific question that they have, enlighten them in some way or reassure them of something. Every piece of content has got to answer something and help direct the consumer to your website so as to buy something from you. Every time you capture someone's attention (through the title, etc) you have to capitalise on that and provide a call to action for them to do something else.Understand what is important to your customers and talk specifically about that and how it relates to them. This is the basis of my upcoming book, which you can get the latest updates by subscribing to my YouTube channel here.Question of the day: how are you creating your content? Read more in my book: 101 Entrepreneur Mistakes and Lessons.Want my advice on the things you are doing: https://www.nantchev.com/consultingLearn more about me: https://www.nantchev.com/Subscribe to me on Youtube: youtube.com/nantchevFollow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adriannantchev/

Who are the 5 people to associate with?

Lean about this and another 100 entrepreneur mistakes in my book: 101 Entrepreneur Mistakes and Lessons.Who do you associate with? Because it is worth understanding that you are the average of the 5 people that you spend your time with.If you associate with 5 broke people, then you will become the 6th. Because the people that you associate with affects how you think, feel and behave, and this begins to affect your priorities, time management and productivity. Imagine if you went out partying every Friday and Saturday- how much work would you get done? Never mind the hangover you'd have that may interrupt the next day.A few years ago I used to go out drinking a lot, but over time I changed and so did my priorities, and as I changed I started to distance myself from them. I was becoming an businessman, and they did not like that. They wanted me to be a "good mate" and hang out with them more. But, I saw what hey were doing as wasting my time. The Law of 33% is something that I learnt near the beginning of my journey as an entrepreneur, and this law states who you should spend your time with. Endeavour to spend 33% of your time with people below, the same level as you and above you. As you spend time with people above you, you are learning more, being accountable to them and they are lifting you up. As you spend time with the people at your level, you are helping one another and strengthening each other's cause. Furthermore, by spending 33% of your time with people below you, you are lifting them up whilst revising and remembering your own knowledge by teaching them what you know. This is why I am careful who I associate with; because I want people that will lift me up, help me in business, hold me accountable to my goals as well as someone that I can confide in my businesses and strategies with, because I respect their ideas and opinions.By raising my standard as to whom I associate with, I am creating a better future for myself.Question of the day:  who are you associating with? Are they uplifting you?

2 Signs to tell when an entrepreneur should quit

Quitting can be a strategic decision to scale back your attention and energy from one project to another. Here are some signs to look out for which can help determine whether you should quit or not.You loose interest passion. As you loose passion for the thing you are working on, then it is time to move on.You have found something bigger/better to work on. When you realise that something else has more potential and bigger reward than what you are currently doing, then it is time to move on.Question of the day: which of these two applies to you?My Answer: If anything, the 2nd one applies to me, because, I am slowly pivoting my attention and energy from an old busiiness into something else.Read my book: 101 Entrepreneur Mistakes and Lessons.Learn more about me: https://www.nantchev.com/Subscribe to me on Youtube: youtube.com/nantchevFollow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adriannantchev/
