How entrepreneurs can stand out from the crowd.

Write a book. That is the single best way to separate yourself from everyone else in the world. When you write a book people will see you differently and have more respect towards you, they will recognise you as someone that can sit down, research and write their thoughts, experiences or knowledge on a topic. When you separate yourself you become unique, because no one throws a book away like they do with a business card, instead they either read it and contact you, leave it on a book shelf and one day read it. Or, they give it to a friend, they read it and contact you. You cannot really lose when you write a book. Look at it this way: millions of books are published a year, but how many authors do you know in person?I was at a business event in early November, and there was round 100+ business people there. One woman had a start up that dealt with property management- the problem she had was the marketing behind her business. The had a good business concept and idea, but no one had heard about them and few people were using their service. After the main event I was talking to her as she had asked me what I thought about her business, but I did not know that it was her business- because the main problems I saw was the marketing. I said that she needed to market her business better and she was curious as to what ideas I had- I told her I had written a book on marketing and her eyes light up!When you write a book, it builds rapport with people and they see you as an expert. It builds bridges and connections. I am trying to endeavour to give away 3,000 copies of my books a year, so people can find it and begin to know, like an trust me.A book is like an ambassador- it spreads the good news of you where ever it goes.Learn more about this topic in one of my books:9 ways writing a book can supercharge your business.

What's better than a business card?

A book is a much better form of a business card. The problem with a business card is that it can be thrown away or left to gather dust with a pile of other business card.Writing a book is a much more respectable and appreciated item to give away that will pay dividends. The chances are the person will not throw the book away, but instead give it to a friend. This is what happened once when I got multiple books for free from the same author, I gave one to my girlfriend at the time. Initially she tried to read it but after the first few chapters she gave it to a friend. No one gives a shit about a business card, it would have go straight in the bin- but with a book, it gets passed around and people get exposed to you at different times and places. If you were to give someone a book that solved their problem, the chances are they would read it and gain rapport with you, so they begin to know like and trust you. When this happens you have a unique connection with the reader- they see you as an expert. This is the problem with business card: a card is for a collection.Learn more and check out my book on writing books for business onAmazon.

What if writing a book is not your thing

Not everyone has to be an author or writer- not everyone has the skill, patience, ability, or temperament to write and that is fine because you have to build your business on your strengths and not on your weaknesses. If writing a book, or writing in general, is not your thing then there are alternatives. The underling principle to understand and apply is to find a way to package your knowledge and share it with the world.  You can do this with a blog, a YouTube channel, a udemy course, etc. Just find an alternative to get your name out there in the world.Find the avenue that you are comfortable and competent with. When you build things on your strengths then your success can be multiplied, but you cannot achieve that as easily or as quickly when you work on your strengths. Find your strengths and magnify them! Don't bother with your weaknesses- you can find a way to delegate, outsource or leverage someone to do that work for you.Learn more about this topic in one of my books:How to get ahead as an entrepreneur. What do you think? How to come up with endless ideas for blogs and books

1. Take what you know and break it down by asking yourself a few different questions, but mainly asking yourself three times 'why is it important?'As you break down your knowledge you begin to find the emotional angle at which people will be interested in your content. Because people buy with emotions and justify with logic, so if you can persuade the emotional side of their brain first, then you can engage them right from the beginning. I took my knowledge of business and broke it down into different categories for blogs like this and loads of videos on YouTube. Here are a few other kinds of questions you can use to breakdown your knowledge:Why is it relevant. Why is it changing peoples' lives. Why is it funny. The more you can ask yourself these kinds of questions so as to understand what it is that you are talking about, then the more ideas you will generate- thus the pickier you can be about what it is you create and work on.2. Look for common questions and topics that are commonly searched for.Go onto a place such asGoogle Trendsand see what topics and still being talked about today. Figure out what burning question that you can answer. One key example is the topic of this blog: I am talking about how to generate ideas. What question(s) can you answer that people will always be searching for? What conversation will always pique your target audience's interest?3. Look at popular topics already found in the world.Look at Amazon's categories is a good places to start because they have spent money figuring out what topics and categories are popular. Go into the sections of Amazon's books and see what kinds of topics interest you the most and what you can talk about effectively and efficiently. When I go to the Amazon categories, these are the categories I can talk about:Business & finance.Nonfiction.Economics.Finance.Personal finance.Marketing and sales.Business life.So how do these categorises match with my knowledge? What can I talk about that I already know and matches one (or more) of these categories? What do you think? Do you Agree, disagree?Leave your comments below.Learn more about this topic in one of my books:9 ways writing a book can supercharge your business. As always: share this article, Let others learn what you've learnt.Read other books I've written:amazon.com/author/adriannantchevRead them for free if you are a Kindle Unlimited or are on Amazon Prime.Follow me on Twitter:@NantchevSend a friend request onFacebookSubscribe to me onYoutubeConnect with me onLinkedIn

Number 1 secret to wealth: Own Nothing

The number 1 secret to wealth is to own nothing, but access everything. Which means to leverage as many things as possible that you do not owe.For example: I do not owe the Amazon domain, infrastructure, printing machines, shipping methods, employees, but I can access them all to sell my books and building my brand on them.I can access Google's servers and infrastructure for my content to be found and share. I am leveraging YouTube's servers and traffic to build a subscriber base, increase my watch time and drive traffic elsewhere.Find a platform that you can access to sell your products or services on. Platforms likeFiverr,UpworkandSteam. You do not own anything but you are using them to make money, so you are not responsible for things like renewing the domain or maintain the website, but you can access them to make money. If you are aspiring artist, then look for places to sell your artwork online, if you are an aspiring author then look into Kindle Publishing. There is always an existing platform that you can leverage so as to make money on and get started with. You don' need to jump right into the deep end, as I did with my first business. The opposite can be true also: create a platform where people can sell their products or services to other people. Be a platform that manages the website, but leverages user generated content to make money. Two examples are YouTube and Steam; YouTube places adverts on the user generated videos and Steam takes a portion of the sale when games are sold on its platform. You don't need to own everything to make money- Facebook makes money by giving advertisers access to its users.Learn more about this topic in one of my books:The Secret to WealthWhat do you think? Why being the first to market is not important

In business it is not the one that is first to market that wins, but it is the one that can get the product, or service, where the mainstream loves what they are selling. It is risk being first, because there is no proof of concept. There is no pioneer before you that proves that there is demand for what you are selling. If you are the second person to the market, then you have an advantage: you can either learn from the person that was first, or you can be adaptable so as to avoid the same mistakes that ensnared them. The first guy to the market is proof of concept that it works and that people will buy the product or service. They make all the mistakes so you don't have to.What do you think? Why People Don't Achieve their Goals, and How you can.

A lot of people are busy, but they are focusing on the wrong things. A lot of people are too busy and do not work towards their goals.Think goals, not activity. When you start to think in terms of achieving your goals, you then start to work towards something of meaning and value to you. You could achieve more in a year than what most people do in 10 years. When you are thinking about activities, then you are thinking about tasks and whats on the to-do listI can be busy running in circles and getting nowhere. If you don't have a goal to work towards, then you'll be wasting time.A lot of people do not achieve what they want because they are not working towards it. Decide on your goals, break down the tasks involved and work towards them. Anyone can be busy, but few people can be productive.Don't be busy for the sake of it, learn to work towards your goals.A lot of people talk about how they like to be kept busy. This, unfortunately, is a bit of a false dichotomy.Anyone can be busy. A headless chicken can be busy running around achieving nothing. It is about being productive, working towards a goal, working towards building something of value to you and that is important to youI t really annoys me when people things like "at least you keeping busy", or "I like it when its busy". Because this implies that they do not have a goal - an end destination. Or that their life is so unhappy they are content to have a menial distraction, which is their work. Why would you want to do the same thing(s) forever and get the same results? Constantly chopping wood for your fire, when you can be 'busy' building a wood chopping machine which will chop the trees for you?In economics, there is a thing called an 80/20 principle which talks about how the majority of things are owned by the minority of other things. An example: I was talking to a teacher one time and I asked whether 80% of his headaches were coming from 20% of his students? He then realised what I meant by 80/20.Another example, drive from Wolverhampton to Birmingham, 80% of the traffic will be on the A roads and not on the motorway, and 80% of the fastest speeds you achieve will be on the motorway, while 20% of the congestion will be on the motorway. There is another thing to consider: parkinson's law. When you create a deadline or define a time period that you want to accomplish something in, then your brain then begins to think and process how you can achieve what you want to achieve in this space of time. I've set myself multiple deadlines in the Spring of 2017. I then brought the deadline 1-3 weeks forward and asked myself to achieve 10-30% more, this was adding a little bit of pressure on myself to be active and work towards my goals. It also means that I can do more in less time and achieve more in 2017.Do the same: define a deadline, put more pressure on yourself and then you'll figure out ways you can accomplish it.Learn to identify what tasks will help you achieve your goals. These are the ones to focus your time on.When you are working towards something, you can achieve most people. Are you keeping busy or are you working towards goals and building systems?Stop being busy. Be productive.Think goal, and not activity. What do you think? Do you Agree, disagree?Leave your comments below. As always: share this article, Let others learn what you've learnt.Learn more about this topic in one of my books:50 cognitive biasesRead other books I've written:amazon.com/author/adriannantchevRead them for free if you are a Kindle Unlimited or are on Amazon Prime.Follow me on Twitter:@NantchevSend a friend request onFacebookSubscribe to me onYoutubeGet email updates: Email

An Easy Way for Anyone to Make Money from Thin Air

A lot of people want to know how to make money from thin air.The simplest ways to do this is to create package, share and sell your existing knowledge online. There are people out there in the world that will pay you for the knowledge and experience you have now, because they do not have it and yet they want to know.Figure out your expertise, understand what you are good at and then package it. Either:Books.Blogs.Video Courses.YouTube.As you begin to package your knowledge in what ever form best suits you, then people will begin to pay you to learn it.BooksTake what nonfictional knowledge you have and begin to write it up. Figure out what people are searching for using places likegoogle trendsorgoogle keyword planner, and get writing. Find as many ways as you can to divide up your knowledge into different books.I write booksfrom books from marketing to entrepreneurship. This was you can earn the book royalties. Use places likeCreatespaceto publish your books onto Amazon.BlogsIf writing a book is not your thing, you can get share your knowledge in the forms of blogs. These blogs can be monetised bygoogle adsense, where google places an adverts inside your blog and you get paid depending on how many people see it, or how many people click on the advert.Video coursesIf writing is not your thing, then look into create a series of video course on places likeUdemy.Where you teach and share your knowledge in video form. You'd need to find a way to advertise and promote them, or create them based on popular topics that you can also teach about.YoutubeLastly, there is YouTube. You can create videos on YouTube by just looking at the camera and talking to it. There is a lot to understand and learn about YouTube, andthischannel is a damn good start. There are all sorts of ways to make money on YouTube, from the simple video monetisation to links to your books or your video courses. YouTube is also the world's 2nd largest search engine, so by being on it you can be found by the entire world, and thus can drive traffic to your products. There are potentially endless ways you can package your knowledge and sell it with the world. I highly suggest you find other ways you can do this, perhaps you could even write fictional books and short stories. One way to discover your talents is to do a personality test on16Personalities.com. There are generally speaking, 16 different personalities that all humans are. I highly suggest you find out which one you are and then play to your strengths. I am an ENTJ personality. This blog is a way to promote your imagination into finding out more ways of packaing your knowledge. This list is by no means exhustive. The guiding principle for you to follow is that you have knowledge and talent inside you now that people will pay for you. What do you think? Do you Agree, disagree?Leave your comments below.

The 2 Greatest Things Holding You Back in Life

Having been an entrepreneur for a few years now, I've come to realise there are 2 major factors that limit any person's growth, let alone an entrepreneur's growth. These two factors are:Comfort zoneKnowledgeMaster these two and you can grow and develop to be more, have more and do more in your life. The comfort zone is your emotional limitations. It is the tenacity, self belief and self confidence to actually step up and go against the crowd and tide. Because without confidence to act, you'd be restrained by fear and immobilises by others' opinions. More than half of success is down to actually turning up, in a world of 7 billion people: there is so little competition online and in business. There is so little competition because not everyone dares to step out of their comfort zone, or even expand it. But as you expand it, you eventually change, and as you change your priorities, interests and what you focus on changes because you've raised your standard. When you expand your comfort zone, you do not go back to the person you used to be. When you know that you can succeed, then you will. How to expand your comfort zone: start small, learn from the mistakes & successes of other people and learn the basics of what you want to achieve. Read 'successful' peoples' biographies, I say 'success' because we all have a different definition of success. Start small and make inexpensive mistakes; whether this is writing short stories, videos, blogs, selling etc.Ensure that your failures are inexpensive so they do not affect you. As you begin to learn the basics of the field in which you want to pursue, your confidence grows and you learn what to do and what not to do. As you learn, you decipher what is necessary of your to succeed. And when you learn what is needed, you absorb it and you come to terms with the requirements. The knowledge is your other factor. It is the tools, information and experience you have that enables you to act and achieve success. If your comfort zone is you foundation, then the rest of the building is your knowledge. If you do not have the knowledge to succeed, then you'll struggle - not that you'll fail, you'll just struggle. Because, like your comfort zone, it can be expanded and is not fixed; you can learn more knowledge that will practically guarantee you success.Without knowledge you are blind, and when you are blind you miss out on opportunity, you fail to get ahead and you waste time. The more you learn, the more you earn. When you know how to succeed, then you will. How to expand your knowledge: go crazy with researching! Let's say you want to learn about 'marketing'. Go into Google, Amazon and YouTube and search everything related to marketing and go crazy. Read 100+ blogs, 100+ free Kindle books, watch 100+ YouTube videos and 100+ podcast/YouTube interviews. The more you can learn, the more you can earn. Each topic will unlock new ideas and things to research- then go and research those as well! You don't know what you don't know! You have to delve deep into the research and knowledge seeking stage, otherwise you may miss something that may come back to bite you.For ever 1 hour you spend researching, you save 5 hours of making mistakes. Be careful of who you listen to: because not everyone knows what they are talking about; but you can take their lessons and knowledge that they share and either compare it to what you already know and see if it is worthwhile remembering, but also it's important to know what not to do.What do you think? Do you Agree, disagree?Leave your comments below.

What Should Entrepreneurs Focus on? Research or Taking Action?

People talk about how entrepreneurs should take immediate and decisive action. This is important, but most people tend to forget about doing sufficient research and investigation before taking action, thus ensuring their actions are much more efficient, accurate and strong.I'm all about action, and I recognise that I need to take more action too, but I believe that before you take action you need to spend as much time as possible on researching and learning from others' experiences and mistakes.I spend 2 weeks in November 2016 leaning about inbound marketing and how I could use blogs and other content to get traffic and customers.I feel that you need to keep researching and learning until you get to a point of where you feel guilty that you've spent too much time researching and now you need to take action.Or, until you get to the point where you feel you have sufficient knowledge in take accurate and efficient action.I do not suggest you jump straight into something with any research, as you'd end up making too many mistakes and you'll end up wasting too much time. For every 1 hour you spend researching, you save 5 hours of making mistakes. For every 1 hour you spend researching about a specific topic you'll discover things and learning form the mistakes of others, thus saving you time, energy and effort. If someone spent 1 year experimenting with something, and then wrote about it online all you had to to was read the article and come to the same conclusions and lessons as this person did, but in a much shorter space of time.In economics there is a chart called a convergence rate, which talks about how if someone establishes some research or knowledge that took him 10 years to master, he can then teach that lessons to someone else and he can master the same knowledge in an afternoon.Get lost and get carried away in your research. Go crazy!Because you never know what you'll discover and find out- you could find out something that'll change your entire strategy or could open up new ideas and opportunity for you. You don't know what you don't know, and the best way to discover what you don;'t know is to keep learning. When you reach a point where you feel confident enough to act, or you know enough about a the topic you can begin to take action- that is best time to take action. Otherwise you'll be jumping into the deep end without even having any swimming lessons.Taking action is important, but taking wise, guided and knowledgeable action is even smarter. What I recommend is reading 3 books on a topic, 100's of blogs and videos. You want to really add 100s of videos to your watch later list. But all the information out there in the world you want to take it with a pinch of salt, especially the free sources, as not everyone knows what they are talking about. But, learning what not to do is just as important as learning what to do.Learn more about this topic in one of my books:how to get ahead as an entrepreneur. What do you think? Do you Agree, disagree?Leave your comments below.
