How are Blond Men like Unicorns?
The book I'm working on right now has a blond hero.
Those of you who have read The Season will remember that my very first hero--the boy of my heart, Gavin, Lord Blackmoor--is a blond. And he's charming and funny and based, loosely, on a collection of boys who I grew up with (and one whom I married), who were all blondes.
But this time, I'm writing about a man. And he's golden-haired and beautiful and all man. But here's the thing: There aren't that many gorgeous, manly blonds out there...

Give to a Good Cause. Get Something Fab!
There are lots of cool things about being a romance novelist: publishing with a company you've been logo stalking for your whole life; becoming friends with romance novelists you've admired for ages (I'm looking at you Sophie Jordan); oh, yeah...writing books for a living...

Backordered? Sorry! Let me make it better!

Yes. Looks like they're backordered as of today...books have been shipped and they should be sent to those of you who placed orders in the next day or two (I'm guessing Monday counts as "two" considering it's Friday). In the meantime, you should be able to get the book in your nearest brick & mortar bookstore, or

Trivia from Copyedits...
I'm in the midst of copyedits on Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord (out October 26th!), and it occurred to me that you, Dear Readers, deserve a cookie. Because what's keeping me going as I slog through these manuscript pages are your fantastic emails and your wonderful, encouraging comments and your general existence, which is awesomesauce.

In Which the Author's Mind is Boggled

What on earth? The love that started it all?
Uhm.
I will say this...Twilight fans are going to be in for a bit of a surprise when they discover that there are no Vampires *or* Werewolves in this book.
Thanks to my friend Saundra Mitchell for the photo. And for the "wha?"
