A Brief Update
This last week has been crazy. I’ve re-written the epilogue through seven. Hoping to get at least two more done tonight.
God has put it on my heart to read more about Gideon. Judges 6 – 8. Sometimes life feels like he, himself said:
He said to Him, “O Lord, how shall I deliver Israel? Behold, my family is the least in Manasseh, and I am the youngest in my father’s house.” – Judges 6:15
I am nobody. Nothing special. I’m not a warrior. How can I do this thing? Writing books and wrapping Scripture into them…I’m not a theologian.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? – Romans 8:31
So, I rest in that the good works I am doing (or trying my best to do) are what He wants me to do. That these novels are the task He has given me, and I will do my best to do them.

Sha’al
I was digging through the Scripture today to find a neat passage for “Sha’al” and discovered this:
“I was ready to be sought by those who did not ask for me; I was ready to be found by those who did not seek me. I said, “Here I am, here I am,” to a nation that was not called by my name.” – Isaiah 65:1 (ESV)
“Darash sha’al matsa’ baqash ‘amar hinneh hinneh gowy qara’ shem.”
I didn’t know that three forms for seek are in the same passage. I also discovered another form of seek in Proverbs 8:17 “shachar”.
Pretty cool. Our God is awesome!

The Broken
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18
I went on my first trip to the jail yesterday. What can I say? So many emotions and thoughts. The guys and ladies were polite and cordial. The Officers were polite and cordial as well.
A few had hit rock bottom and were searching for answers. Many seemed content with where they were in their spiritual life. Some wanted general prayers and others were quite specific.
All of them are like brothers and sisters. Their crime doesn’t matter, they all need to have a relationship with God.
They’re no different than you or I. I saw people in a rough spot due to their bad decisions. We run into people in rough spots all the time…sometimes because of their bad decisions, sometimes not. But one thing remains the same: we all need a relationship with God.
My book has been circulating in there. It looked beat-up and worn, thumbed through, tossed around and picked up again. One man is excited to get my next book. The book created an in, a way to share the Gospel. That was one of its many intents.
To reach the broken, we must allow them to see our own brokenness. And the beauty of a restored soul.
I’m blessed.

Research…
Sorry I haven’t posted much lately. Been busy reasearching when I’m not writing and re-writing.
Also, God has blessed me with a wonderful baby girl who is getting ready to take her first step unassisted.
God, Family, and then work.
I do love being an author and a blogger.
I’m on chapter 31 of the re-write of Darash. 6 more chapters and the Epilogue to re-write and then I start the 2nd re-write. I suspect my first readers will get their copies on or about Feb 28th.
Have a blessed Sunday.

Production to Date Numbers
Since Sept. 2016:
439 Copies of Baqash have been distributed.
Since November 2016:
789 Copies of October Falling are out there.
Pretty cool. Honestly, I can’t wait until I’m done writing “Darash: Baqash Book 2”. I’m excited to see how the novelette “Apophis” will unfold. “Apophis: Baqash Origins” will be the story of how Joseph and Mattithyahu meet in Jerusalem. It will be free for eBook as well. I’m going to TRY to release a novelette or novel every 3 to 4 months. So that every 3 months something new will come out. It all depends on how life flows, God willing.
I’m hoping to write 5 novels and 5 novelettes for the entire series.
As for the character Peter, I’m really wondering how he ties in to the whole series.

Baqash Review & Other News
“Great book with vivid imagery about what our world could look like during the End Times. Wilson created characters with depth and passion. Can’t wait to read his next book!” – Christine H. Duis
Re-writing chapter 20 of “Darash” right now. Praying I live up to your expectations.
I have learned that “Baqash” and “O. F.” are being read in one of our local jails and is making an impact for Christ. I’m so excited and humbled that God would use me.
“Your book is having a positive impact in the jail! Wish you could have been there today.” – Mark Olson
Planning on making a trip to the jail soon. Please pray for me as I continue trying to do the work God has set before me.

Stand Before Kings…
“Darash” excerpt:
“Do you think everyone is heading to New York?” Terry propped herself up on an elbow.
“Yes, I do. New York or somewhere in California. That’s why God had Sarah head that way. One of many reasons He sent her there.” Maxwel rolled onto his side.
“What is she supposed to do?” His giftedness from God enamored her and scared her too.
“I’m not sure. She is to marry Mattithyahu.” He paused for a moment, his eyes stared off into nothing, and his voice came out in a staccato fashion: “They will make their trip to Israel, like we will. And she will stand before the kings.” He blinked hard a few times and then smiled at Terry. Their gaze lingered upon one another.
