My favorite way of doing this is going to the movies - but it can be picking up another book, playing a videogame, or trying to write something one-off that I have no commitment to finishing. Taking the stress off and throwing yourself into another fictional world gets rid of all of those invisible walls stopping me from writing what I want to write.(less)
