Pick up an NBF Smoothie in Jump Juice!

I’m really excited to have my NBF smoothie available in all Jump Juices stores for the month of June. This is one of my favourite recipes and my go to post-workout smoothie to refuel. The NBF smoothie is the perfect blend between sweet and savoury, without being too sweet and is deliciously refreshing.

The NBF smoothie is a delicious blend of;

pineapple
spinach
avocado
banana
coconut water
chia seeds
spirulina

And you can add protein too! Let me know what you think of the NBF Smoothie on social with #naturalbornfeeder

Turkey Curry Burgers

Its BBQ season so get your buns ready, lettuce buns that is! :) Burgers are always a good shout whether it’s summer time or meal prep they’re a great way to portion you protein and add serious flavour to plain turkey, beef or fish! You can go for chicken, beef or turkey mince here. I like to serve mine loaded with diced tomatoes, fresh herbs, avocado in a lettuce bun or if you like a delicious bun option try these buns.

Chocolate & Vanilla Brookie Ice Cream Sandwich

Yes, this is happening. A combination between crunchy biscuit and a creamy smooth refreshing centre. The ice cream is really easy to work with here, you know when you remove ice cream from the freezer and you need to leave it until you can actually dig a spoon in without breaking the spoon or breaking into a sweat, not here with Alpro’s new plant-based ice cream, its smooth and creamy to scoop straight out from the freezer and texture is perfect for pressing between two cookies.

As mentioned below only assemble the ice cream sandwich when you are ready to dig in.

This is a collaborative post with Alpro for their new plant-based ice cream range, products which I have trailed and think my readers will benefit from and enjoy!

Curried Squash & Lentil Egg Bake

I love making this, aside from the fact it’s a one dish wonder which makes my life that much easier, it’s packed full of flavour and a nice mix of sweetness thanks to the squash and dried fruit. If you’re a fan of curry and eggs this is a nice and simple dish to add to your repertoire!

I will be Bloom Festival with Bord Bia on Friday 2nd June cooking this delicious, nutritious and versatile egg recipe with the O’Donovan brothers. Come to the Quality Kitchen Stage at 11.45am to catch the demo!

Easy Pesto & Egg Shakshuka

This is my not so spicy shakshuka, I like to think of it as the more of an Irish version for our mild palettes but, don’t worry it’s got tones of flavour thanks to our lovely mate, pesto! It’s also the perfect post workout breakie or brunch dish, delivering a nice combination of protein and carbs. Plus, it takes under 20 minutes to whip up, so let’s go!

Chocolate Nutty Banana Split

A simple summer dessert that you can whip up in minutes Remember how good banana splits were? Well this little one is better for you *and tastes even better than the old school indulgent version. Alpro’s new plant-based ice cream is such a nice texture you can scoop it from the tub the second you remove it from the freezer, unlike traditional ice cream. It’s also a little more like gelato texture, it’s smoother and creamier. When Alpro first got in touch to work together and I trialed the new plant-based ice creams I really could not get over how much better I liked this, it’s definitely my new go-to ice cream.

Vegan Protein Cookies

I’m gone cookie mad I know but there really is nothing better with a cup of tea than a crunchy dunk-able cookie! These came to life through some left over (naked toffee pop) base – I hate seeing things go to waste and lucky I tried this out.  I’ve been making these non stop now.  I used That Protein Raw Cacao Brown rice protein but you could also swap this for simply just the equivalent measure using raw cacao.
