Meet My Character: Meruna Kotov

“A kraken?” I cry, breaking the silence. “But krakens don’t exist!”
I don’t suppose anyone was really waiting with bated breath for my opinion of the matter.
Personality-wise Meruna is quite arrogant, friendly, but arrogant. She has a kind heart, but due to her upbringing, actually believes that she is better than everyone else, therefore it is her job to conduct herse...

Meet My Character: Dagmy of the Deserts

Today's character is Dagmy the vampiric mercenary also from Rage Like the Gods.
That is the code of the sellswords. There is no code. Just one law, do not betray the person who hired you.
Tends to be bad for business.
Now the contracts that you take. What you can be hired to do. There are no limitations. There are no laws forbidding the unspeakable. We aren’t assassins per say but we could be hired to kill.
There is no honor in it.
There is no honor i...

Meet My Character: Thyre No-Name

I may seem like a scrawny hapless girl, but what I lack in size I make up for in fighting spirit and pure savagery. It takes a lot of people by surprise, especially those who are drunk enough to think that brawling is a good idea. They are already off ba...

Meet My Character: Eirik Gaelson
So I'm starting a new blog series. This is my attempt to be organized in my blogging schedule this summer, so I'm hoping to publish this six post series every Monday through the first week of August. Then after this series is complete hopefully I will be able to introduce at least one or maybe both of those new WIPs I keep teasing you about.
In this series, I shall introduce you to each of my main characters (which I count as having a POV) from my two WIPs Rage Like the Gods and Of Stars and Sha...
For those of you who have been wondering...
I realize that I have written about individual stories, genres, how and when I write, and basically everything else under the sun.
Everything but a conclusive introduction to my writing. I've done this partially, and I have a few pages on my blog with my published works and current projects, but I don't think I have ever listed my published works, how long the series will be, and which ones belong to which series all in one place. I know, I've been writing for how many years, and I'm just now ge...

So I finished editing AWDAD... what's next?

(Images in all collages via Pinterest)
May was a busy month, marked by the publication of Between Gods and Demigods. During my free time when I was not editing or illustrating this troublesome novella, I was working on editing AWDAD. I had put aside all of my other projects other than these two and the end result was being able to publish Between Gods and Demigods on time, and editing around 40k of AWDAD, I edited another 20k last week and finally wrapped up editing that beast.
So that was May. Wh...

What you have probably all been waiting for//I finally finished AWDAD

Dear reader,
I finished AWDAD.
As I write this, emails with the manuscript are flying to my beta readers' and editor's inboxes. I have washed my hands of this story until closer to August when I will start working on editing and incorporating all of the changes my editor and beta readers find. Which will probably be quite a few, knowing how sloppy my writing can be sometimes.
And then?
Well, hopefully I will publish...

I have like half a plan and here it is...

For the doubters among you who have been wondering, yes, I do indeed have a plan.
A real actual publishing plan when it comes to my books. It's a very good plan. It's a very solid plan. I am very fond of this plan.
Even if it is only half a plan.
What can I say? A lot can happen in one year, let alone the many years it would take to follow through with my current plan. I like to l...

Keep Calm and Buy Between Gods and Demigods

Today's the very big day. The very first Rage Like the Gods story is finally out there in the world. And I couldn't be more excited.
This day does come shadowed with some sadness. I dedicated this novella to my dogs. Unfortunately one of my doggies, Riley died very suddenly only days before the release. Because of this, the story almost didn't end up getting published in time, but I managed to pull through.
I love this story just so much, it is a very special part of my heart, it offers only a sm...
