In Which I Finally Discuss My Redheaded Stepchild AKA League of Thieves

Images all from Pinterest

Those of you who were here in the OG Days of Nicki On the Internet: The Goodreads Years probably remember LoT, but many of you probably won't since this was a pre-blogging era. So, I'm going to tell you a little story.

The year was 2018, I was a senior in high school, taking classical literature college classes on the side, I hadn't gotten a job yet, and life was good. This was one of my best writing years I've ever had. I wrote and published A Certain Sort of Madness, re...

A Black Friday/Cyber Monday Sale

I'm publishing on a Friday instead of a Monday this week because... it's time for the annual Black Friday Indie Book Sale. I have three books I'm running sales on. Harbinger of the End my standalone romantic fantasy about Loki and Sigyn, Of Gold and Iron my YA fae fantasy, and A Tale of Gods and Glory my horror fantasy that is full of dark humor and sweet friends to lover romance.
There's a whole bunch of books that are on sale this year. So, one you're done purchasing mine 😉I suggest you go che...

An Apprentice of Death Cover Reveal

So...a little while ago I announced this book and then I said next to nothing about it. 😅 What a typically me thing to do.

Whelp, I actually wrote it a few months ago. Yup, it is a fully written novel, it has a release date and everything, and today I'm revealing the cover, the interior illustrations, the blurb, and the release date (as well as pre-order links) to help make up for my pervious negligence in not telling you about this story...

So, with that said, let's get scrolling.

Know the Novel Part Two: Within the WIP//A Book Has Released Into The World//A Cover Reveal//I Have Too Much Going On

 1. How’s the writing going overall?

It could be going better... it could be going worse.

We lost Savage Gods and Spellbooks somewhere on the wayside, now I'm only focusing on ODaF and TGCM. So, a moment of silence for our fallen comrade 😞

Like, as far as the FFF challenge I'm doing dismally, I didn't write very much of my projects at all in October (so for half the challenge I have been a slacker), but for NaNoWriMo I'm actually doing really well? I've managed to get a few thousand words in almost...

Introducing my WIP

(Images Via Pinterest)
So, I know I'm in the middle of working on multiple projects for NaNoWriMo/FallFic Frenzy, but I've decided that it is high time I finally introduce you all to my secret WIP. I've kept quite about this one for an age and a half. I've pushed back this introduction post time and again because it never felt like the right time to announce it.
Honestly, I'm surprised that I've kept my mouth shut this long since we all know how terrible I am at keeping secrets. And yet here we ar...

Book Cover Designers—If You're Looking For One Then You Might Want to Read This

There are a few reasons that I decided to do this post today. The first of which is that I've been running a fun little tournament on my Instagram for my followers to vote on their favorite covers of mine, so I thought I would share a bit more about the covers in question. I've also recently been discussing book cover designers with a friend who is considering her options and I realized that I had a lot to say on the subject.

But finally, this is a bit of a love letter to my cover designers. I a...

The Worlds of Nicki Chapelway: Part Four Ruskhazar

Okay, I will try not to show my clear favoritism and turn this into a beast of a post while I discuss today's world Ruskhazar.

Ruskhazar is the world in which 30 books of mine are set in. The tally is currently seven series and one standalone. Every time I turn around, I get a new story to add to the vast lore of this world.

This land is the harsh and beautiful home of elves and men, it has existed for three eras, but according to the gods if the prophesied end of the world is not stopped then thi...

Know the Novel Part One Part Two

So, here we are again.

I'm unsure if it can really be counted as a writing project if I don't make at least one change to my plans...

Or I suppose this could technically just be called an adjustment in plans, since I'm changing nothing about what I said about my first two projects. I'm just adding a third project into the mix. The Gods Created Monsters.

I was really hoping to have this one done before the FallFicFrenzy started, but then I got back the edits from Rage Like the Gods and I've spent t...

Know the Novel Part One: Introduction

It comes upon the fall months where much writery must be done. Now, don't get me wrong, I write literally all the time. I don't stop writing throughout the whole year, but I have yet to cease experiencing the thrill of writing extra hard during the fall months of October and November (one to finish my project before NaNoWriMo and the other to do NaNo itself). This year I'm embarking on a new challenge called the Fall Fic Frenzy hosted by Christine Smith (speaking of, she is also the host of this...

Winter Cursed: The Complete Series

Surprise! I can't believe that I kept this a secret for so long buuuuut... I'm publishing a Winter Cursed omnibus. And unlike my Return to Amar Boxed Set this one is going to be released in paperback and hardback as well, and not just ebook. Plus it has a new shiny cover to go with. And that's what I'm here to reveal to you today.

(P.S. I'm not saying that return to Amar won't ever be released as an omnibus with an alternate cover in paperback and hardback, but it's definitely not one of my curr...
