When I was very little, my mother was trying to take a nap and I wanted her to play with me. She tried to explain to me that she was very tired and needed some rest and I stood in the doorway of her bedroom and responded, “You can sleep when you’re in heaven.” She paused for a moment… and got up and played with me.

Back on April 12th, Long Suffering Husband came home sick. Four days later, I had it. It was one of those really cruddy head/chest colds. We were both completely miserable, coughing, junk in our lungs, stuffed nose, stuffed head, etc. I couldn’t take any medicine for it because I’m nursing so I resorted to a variety of strange andembarrassingnatural remedies in my desperation to breathe the little said about, the better.

Camp NaNoWriMo Winner! (don’t be jealous, my goal was really small)

Back in March, I mentioned that I was going to use the April Camp NaNoWriMo as a replacement for Script Frenzy. This was a slightly insane plan as I was having enough trouble getting through my day job and, say, putting on pants while being at the beck and call of the little one. As usually happens when I’m busy, any writing I am not contracted or otherwise being paid to do falls by the wayside which is sad but a necessity of survival.

But I miss writing for me and I like to stay in the habit...
