For everyday, "I'm not sure if I can get the words out?" I examine the story, figure where it derails, and write an outline to fix it.

Another thing I find helpful is don't think ahead to what you will be writing. Live in the moment of what you are writing now. Drill down so that you feel and think everything your characters feel and think. Be there with them. That almost always works. (less)

I worked many years in corporate America and was downsized out of my job which I held for ten years. It was not the happiest point in my life. And because the industry in which I worked was undergoing rapid change the jobs that normally would be there for me weren't. It was marvelous when I woke up the day after I secured my first ghostwriting client and realized, "I have a job and it's writer." Yeah.(less)
