Love And Repentance

Acts 3:19 – Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Luke 13:3 – I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Acts 2:38 – Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Have you ever heard that Jesus taught love and acceptance? That he accepted people for their sins? Well, Jesus did teach love, but he never told us to accept sin. Yea, he talked to the woman at the well but then told her to sin no more. He never said I forgive you, and it’s okay to keep doing what you are doing. He never told the Pharisees that they could keep using the scriptures how they saw fit. He didn’t tell the people in the temple that he knew what they were doing was wrong, that they could keep selling and trading in the temple. No, he whipped them out. Jesus never preached acceptance. He preached repentance. He preached to turn away from your sin and live for him. He told us to pick up our cross and sin no more. Stop saying Jesus taught love and acceptance. Instead, teach he taught Love and Repentance.

Reverence

Exodus 33:23

23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

Moses was the only man to see God, and he couldn’t even see his face. Moses was so full of glory that they had to place a vail over his face. God is so mighty that if Moses had seen his face, he would have died. Now, we don’t even pay reverence to him. We act as if our walk with God is nothing. Our God is so mighty that until we make it to heaven, we can not see his face. He is God. So, we as Christians need to get back to paying reverence to our heavenly Father. We need to be respectful when someone speaks of him. We need to stop taking his name in vain. Most of all, we need to stop treating the salvation he gave us as if it is nothing.

No More Hate

Matthew 5:44
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

I have talked about this before, but recently, I heard someone who professes to be a Christian talk about how much they hate someone. It does not matter how bad someone is nor how vile the actions are. You are still supposed to love them. Love the ones who use you. Stop saying that you hate someone and stop saying that you wouldn’t help them. Love as Christ did. Remember, Christ even loved the ones who beat him and nailed him to the cross.

Endless prayer

1 Thessalonians 5:17-18

17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

How often should you pray, and when should you pray? Should you only pray when you are seeking an answer from God? Should you pray when everything is going well? Should you pray when your world falls apart? The answer is always, and in all of those situations, you should be praying. Our pray life is how we talk to God. It is how we tell him our needs, tell him how thankful we are, and even listen to him. You should not pray when you find times. You should ve praying all day. Learn to make prayer a priority and not something you decide to do when it’s convenient. Pray without ceasing

Be Joyful

John 15:10-11

10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

11These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

If we keep the commandments of God, we will be separate from the world. Christians will look and act different, and they will be treated different. You don’t do the things that others do and claim to be okay. You will lose friends because you refuse to live in sin. However, it is not a bad thing to follow his commandments. You don’t have to worry about where your soul will spend eternity, nor will you have to worry about the cares of this world. Yea, you will be hit with trials, but that only makes you stronger. As for the friends that leave you, well they were never truly your friends. When you follow his commandments, you find that you have a greater connection with our savior. There is nothing hindering you in your prayers. It becomes a joy to live life as the bible directs you to do. So, don’t be one of those Christians with a sad look on your face. Be happy and full of joy, because our savior sets at the right hand of the father.

Woke

Malachi 3:6 – For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Revelation 1:8 – I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty

Lately, everyone has been woke to the new way of living. They believe in everything the bible stands against. They believe that they are righteous for their cause. Well, they need to wake up to the truth. God does not change. What he said was wrong back with the disciples is still wrong today. It does not matter what people claim, God has not changed. They think they have woken up to a life of true acceptance, but they are actually falling into sin. They are being blinded by the enemy. If being woke means living and agreeing with sin, then I will stay asleep.

Raise Them Better

Proverbs 29:15
15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame

Today, many parents believe that you should not punish your kids. They allow their children to make decisions on their own, but they will still say they hope their kids turn out better than they did. Well, if you want your kids to be better than you, then you have to be the parent that corrects them when they are wrong. If you let them think they can coast through life with no consequences for their actions, then they will end up having to learn it the hard way. The Bible tells us to teach our kids the right way, and yes, that means correcting them if they are in the wrong. If you don’t, then when they become adults and stay in trouble, it is your fault.

Love No Matter What

1 John 4:20 KJV
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

Growing up, I always heard that you can’t love God with hate in your heart. Now I understand what it means. If you can despise and hate the very people you are supposed to pray for, then you need to pray for God to put love in your heart. You have to love your brother, even if he is doing wrong, because God told you to. Remember, no matter how sorry they are, Jesus still loved them enough to die for their sins as well.

Spark Of Revival

2 Chronicles 7:14

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

I watched a news article today. It wasn’t about the economy, what politicians are up to, or anything else wrong with the world. It was about a revival that had broken out in Kentucky. The news anchor was telling how so many went and rededicated their life’s back to God. People had started turning away from the sin of the world. What if this revival spreads. What if it begins to light the fire of revival that we need. God wants to heal our land, and he wants to forgive us of our sins, and all we have to do is turn back to him. I pray this revival keeps going. I pray that the people who travel to take part go back home and carry the spark of revival that turns our country back to God

Waking Up To Storms

Matthew 8:25-26

25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

This morning, i woke up to thunder and lightning. The thunder was so loud it shook my home. As I lay there, I thought of this verse and how Jesus got woken up to storm rolling around the boat. He didn’t wake up in a nice warm home. He woke up in the middle of the sea with a storm raging around him. He wasn’t scared. He just told the storm to cease, and it did. He knew that storm would arise, but he had the power to overcome them. The Bible says you will do greater because he goes to his father. So, when you wake up to storms in your life, don’t be afraid. Storms come and go, but our faith is eternal. We can overcome the storms we just got to have a little faith.
