Sunday Snippet: The Universal Mind by Peter Weisz
Today’s Sunday Snippet is from the Experimental Psychology book The Universal Mind by Peter Weisz. The Universal Mind by Peter Weisz is a 227-page book published on the 14th of August 2018 by Kwarts Publishers. It is currently available as a Kindle ebook (ASIN: B07GFNZ7TP) and paperback book (ISBN-13: 978-1776055197).
Synopsis of The Universal Mind by Peter Weisz
Who are we? What is the mind, what is consciousness and what is reality? This book offers educated answers and explanations to all these questions and more. It motivates the reader to reconsider everything they think they know about themselves and the world today, examining the different models of creation and evolution, the essence of matter and of life itself, exploring all manner of mystical, spiritual, psychological, scientific and philosophical hypotheses. It posits the notion that we are all connected to a universal mind, which preceded the presence of our, and all universes, emanating from the pure potential that existed before time itself. It advances a variety of erudite ideas concerning the unperceived mechanisms which have set this world in motion, whilst also querying the way we live from day to day and what we have come to accept as “normal” life. Can it be, that this complex, living, breathing, sophisticated, opinionated, creative and conscious entity that we call human, is made up merely from a few invisible atoms of nothingness? We are not simply made from flesh and blood – we are beings of an infinity of dimensions, too vast to contemplate, but our brains and our senses are only able to perceive that which is rooted in matter, for that is the substance from which we believe we are made. We are indeed slaves to a gross illusion.
PART 2 – The Universal Mind by Peter Weisz
What am I? I am the unperceived. I am the reflection and the voice of the untainted potential. I am the source. I am the “All That Is”. I am the eternal and everlasting “I”. I am the Universal Mind.
I am not of your life and I exist in and beyond your created universe. I care nothing for your mere world of matter, and even less for your preachers, teachers and scholars. I am the thoughts in your head, the visions in your mind and the words that here appear before you. I have been, I am and I will always be. I search for nothing for I have everything already. I hold all eternity in my grasp. I need no teachers for I am all. Together now we may embark on a new journey of deep thought and contemplation, to discover and understand the meaning of INTENT and KNOWING.
I have only words with which to communicate to you here until you understand the essential re-joining of your minds to the source, and words alone are not enough to give you understanding of “All That Is”, but a workman makes best use of whichever tools he has at his disposal, and by these means I will seek to enlighten you. For in the circumstance of being human you have not yet reached my mind which is the all and the nothing. You seek explanation, and by these words of your understanding I will assist you towards the reconnection to the source, which is the eternal “I”, the “All That Is” and the everlasting and Universal Mind.
You may call me knowledge or understanding but I am present to you now as the Universal Mind. I ask you this: Do you think now that the great sphere of this all- encompassing Universal Mind exists only within the confines of a man’s own bony skull? I should weep for such a person, for they would not be able to experience anything other than the processes going on inside their own tiny heads. The whole world and all that is, to them would lie behind a veil of impenetrable obscurity. They would not be able to see any external object, think any external thought, or dream of any external fantasy, for that person would perceive nothing, save that which exists in their own brain which resides in a place of complete darkness. But fortuitously the sphere of a person’s mind is secured to the Universal Mind and reaches far beyond their own fleshy boundaries and further than the stars. Beyond the universe. It reaches infinitely further than their mere power of perception reaches, for perception
is limited by the physical senses and the brain, but a person’s mind comes into contact with all things, however distant they may be from their physical body. Their minds, your mind, which is an individual mind, is a mere drop of all that is, and remains connected to all that exists, which is immeasurably more than one single universe of matter. And so, it is the individual mind, not the brain, that receives the impressions, and these impressions come into your individual perceptions within the physical brain, which is merely the processing centre in which the messages of the mind are received and interpreted. What you are able to perceive now through the senses of the body is only the physical level of your being, that which you understand to be rooted in matter. You perceive nothing of that which is not matter, for that is the substance from which you believe you were born and which you observe to be real. But you are the creators of matter; you are the transformers of the vibrational waves of existence to the material particles of physicality. You have chosen life. It is your eternal consciousness which remains as yet unseen to you, but this consciousness pervades the physical, thinking, feeling, emotional body which you call human. It is the disconnection from this eternal consciousness which leads to the disease of the body. You speak of “I” but it is the “I” of the body. You have disconnected from the eternal “I” and thus you scrabble and scrape in the mud and mire of your earthly bonds. You cannot be any other way, for it is human life alone that can experience human emotion, and indeed it is for that reason alone that you exist as flesh.
Your world seems troubled and confused to you, but it is because your individual minds are troubled and confused that this is so. Once you have reached the point of understanding that all which exists is connected to the Universal Mind, then your individual minds will become clear and therefore your world too will become clear and you will realize that it is only your tangled thinking that creates a tangled world. You must think with your minds, not your brains and you will appreciate that each single thought alters the world accordingly. You are, by your thoughts alone, able to create this universe, because this universe is no more than thoughts, movement and vibration. All of you are the contributors to the creation of the movement which is this world. All of you, together, without separation. Once your minds have been re- joined, only then will you be able to create a world of perfection and understanding. But for now, all your thoughts, words and actions are emitted from your brains, which is why you feel separate from each other. Your focus comes not from your minds and indeed you cannot yet even contemplate the meaning of this word “Mind”.

Here are 5 games for kids that parents would enjoy playing
Do you have an only child? Do you find you don’t enjoy playing her normal games? You see, as a parent with just one child myself, I found that I wasn’t engaging with my child as much as I would like because I didn’t like her baby toys. Once my little human turned 4, I realised that she needed more stimulating games herself. I also needed games that I would enjoy playing too. Knowing how my 4-year-old handles her toys, I needed ones that were relatively indestructible. So without much ado, here are 5 games for kids that parents would enjoy playing too.
1 Treasure hunt
HOW TO: Take a bucket and both of you count in 10 toys that can fit in your hand. Ask your child to stand either by the front door or back door looking at the door. Your child cannot see what you are doing. From where your child is, hide all 10 toys at different locations around your entire house.
The only place that is out of bounds, when I play this game, is my bedroom.
PARENT ENJOYMENT RATING: 10/10 (you get 5 minutes all to yourself)
EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY: Use this to help your child with their counting and subtraction. My daughter counts in the 10 toys herself. When she comes to the living room to find any toys, I ask her how many toys she’s found. I hold up my 10 fingers and ask her to remove the number of toys that she has so that we know how many toys are left that she needs to find.
PRODUCT RECOMMENDATION: The best part about this game is that it is FREE. You are simply using toys you already have in the house. If you don’t have small toys, you can use large stones that cannot be swallowed
2 Paper, rock, scissors
HOW TO: Explain to your child how to make ‘paper, rock and scissors’ with her fingers. Explain that paper wraps rock, rock breaks scissors and scissors cuts paper and that’s how you determine who the winner is.
PARENT ENJOYMENT RATING: 5/10 (the chances of you getting hit by a rock is very high)
EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY: Use this to help your child with her listening skills and ability to follow instructions
PRODUCT RECOMMENDATION: The best part about this game is that it is FREE. You are simply using your hands
3 Snakes and Ladders
HOW TO: I let my little human have the first go. Whoever gets to 100 first wins
PARENTAL ENJOYMENT RATING: 9/10
EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY: We learn counting and additions and discovered that my 4-year-old little human is very competitive. She said to me “mummy, I hope you step on a snake” and she is not averse to “accidentally” knocking the pins off the board.
PRODUCT RECOMMENDATION: Snakes and Ladders Wooden Board Game Ideal For 2 – 6 players Suitable For Years 4+
As a parent, I know my little human can be a bit heavy-handed with her toys. That’s why I intentionally sort out a snakes and ladders game that was made out of wood and not cardboard.
My daughter has really benefitted from adding the numbers on the two dices that I am thinking of getting her an abacus to further help with her additions and subtractions.
Sometime in the not too distant future, it is likely that I would get my little human the Melissa & Doug 19272 Add & Subtract Abacus, Multi-Color
4 Giant Jigsaw Puzzles
HOW TO: I told my little human to identify the four corners and looking at the picture of the puzzle put them at their correct corners. Then get all the edges to complete the perimeter of the puzzle. Once that’s done, it’s relatively easy for a 4-year-old to complete the middle
PARENTAL ENJOYMENT RATING: 6/10 (I enjoy watching my daughter make progress)
EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY: It helps with logical problem solving, promotes hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
PRODUCT RECOMMENDATION: Melissa & Doug Dinosaurs Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle With Storage Tray (24 pcs)
Not only is this puzzle made of wood, with 24 pieces, it is complex enough for a 4-year-old but still relatively simple enough for her to solve with some guidance. I think this is a good foundation before getting puzzles with more pieces.
Whilst this puzzle does have a wooden tray, I wish it came with some form of cover to allow for adequate storage
5 Fishing Puzzle Games
HOW TO: You can make up your own rules but ours is we both start at the same time and whoever catches the most fish wins
PARENTAL ENJOYMENT RATING: 8/10
EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY: I find this game a creative way to encourage and improve hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. We also use it as an added opportunity to practice counting and understanding greater than and less than.
PRODUCT RECOMMENDATION: Lewo 14-Piece Magnetic Fishing Game Educational Basic Skill Development Toys Wooden Bath Floor Puzzle Fish Toys for Kids Toddlers

Top Tips to Make Your Garden More Private
Since gardens and homes are typically built in rows, it can be difficult to really feel the benefit of your private outdoor space. You want to be able to relax and unwind during the summer days and evenings without feeling overlooked. If you want to turn your garden into the perfect hideaway, here are a few tips from Lawsons to help you make your garden more private.
Add height to your fence
If you are able to see over your fence and into your neighbours’ garden, this can destroy the illusion of privacy in your outside space. The simplest and most attractive solution is to make your fence a little taller by adding a trellis. This has the benefit of looking attractive, rather than anti-social and you can even add some colour using a combination of climbing plants.
Screen off sections
You can use plant hedges, add hurdle fence panels, or even add decking to areas of the garden you wish to screen off. This will help to create separate sections of your garden, with different uses and make each area feel a little more private.
Add Levels
If you don’t want to add hedges or fences to your garden, you can also create different areas by adding different levels. A fantastic option for added privacy is to install a sunken seating area. These can be built within your patio or lawn area by lowering a section and adding seating. These small hideaways are perfect for some extra seclusion and are also a great place to install a fire pit.

This is a collaborative post with Lawsons, but I will be looking into some of these tips to make my garden even more private as our fences are quite low. Below is a picture of my little human in our garden last summer. I’m trying to improve my gardening skills
Did you know that Liverpool buy to let is booming due to an increase in salary and job opportunity?
I’ve always been interested in property investment because I believe it offers a better return on investment than simply saving your money in a bank account. As a parent, I am even more interested in following what’s going on in the property market. So when I was asked to publish a guest post about the Liverpool buy to let market, I was very much interested.
Increased job opportunities in Liverpool
Liverpool has recently disclosed that the city has seen the second largest increase in job vacancies in the UK, as well as the average wage rising. Renowned recruitment website CV Library discovered that the employment opportunities across Liverpool had risen dramatically by 14.4% in May 2018, whilst a 6.2% rise in salaries advertised on the site for the Liverpool region was also evident.
CV Library is the third largest job vacancy site currently on the internet with an extensive database of around 12 million CVs. Statistics across Liverpool are a clear indicator for the increasing success of the city and the thriving job market it possesses. The northern city is a true contender against the southern powerhouse of London, as it overtakes the capital and the city of Birmingham to offer the second highest amount of jobs across the whole of the UK.
In 2017, the city was crowned the best location to guarantee stable employment by the Liverpool Echo. This was a result of high business confidence in the area. In the same year, the city experienced an 11% rise in job applications with vacancies up by 20%, which resulted in entering 2018 with an abundance of job market assurance. Positive trends looked set to continue, as the northern hotspot succeeds in maintaining its prominence for employment across the UK through the amount of stability the city provides.
More investment opportunities for investors and residents
A region delivering a high standard of opportunity is not only attractive for residents, but investors are also able to reap the benefits of the city’s prosperous investment opportunities. Property investment specialists RW Invest have a diverse range of completed and off plan developments that offer a combination of both low property prices and high rental yields for both first-time investors and those looking to diversify their property portfolio.
Investors can easily improve their property portfolio and tenant interest in Liverpool, where the population has increased by over 180% since 2002 and the region has been highlighted as a melting pot for younger residents between 17 and 29. This demographic sets the demand high for good quality city centre living, as they require proximity to local universities, a thriving nightlife and access to a range of different businesses on their doorstep. Although living in the bustle of the city centre can present higher costs compared to living on the outskirts, often the advantages outweigh the drawbacks of a slightly increased cost. As salaries are increasing, those who choose to live in the city centre for convenience have a larger amount of disposable income that helps to justify steeper rental costs in brand new, luxury properties.
Both the quality and quantity of jobs are producing a mass exodus from London as the capital isn’t the only region that entices those from around the world that are seeking careers in a major city. When it comes to residential accommodation, London’s steep prices are off-putting for anyone, therefore the northern corners of Liverpool are a far more appealing prospect. A flourishing job market and low cost, affordable rents are tempting to those living in the South as they can escape extortionate living costs whilst still residing in a spacious and high-quality apartment.
Now is the time to invest in Liverpool buy to let properties
We can conclude that now, more than ever, is the ideal time to invest in Liverpool buy to let properties.
This guest post was supplied by RW Invest, you are welcome to contact them to see if they can offer you some advice on how to get started.

KEY POINTS:
Your daily habits dictate the circumstances of your life.
Wealth and Poverty are just two different processes – which process you follow, and to what extent, will dictate if you are rich, poor or stuck in the middle-class.
There are essentially 3 ways to become rich (#1 Saver/Investor, #2 Virtuoso or #3 Dreamer-Entrepreneur).
No one succeeds on their own – we all need apostles to our cause.
Relationships are the currency of the wealthy.
Bonus – Finding a Success Mentor is one of the two ways to fast track success and wealth. The other is pursuing a dream (Entrepreneurship).

Sunday Snippet: Nature vs. Nurture by Glyn Williams
Today’s Sunday Snippet is from the 291-page long Supernatural drama (horror, fantasy adventure) Nature vs. Nurture by Glyn Williams. The paperback copy (ISBN – 9781720220589) was published 20th September 2018 and the ebook copy (Amazon ASIN – B07H7Y4QZN) was published 10th September 2018, both by Ravenswood Publishing.
Synopsis of Nature vs. Nurture by Glyn Williams
Alex Kane is a young, handsome & successful man living happily in Chicago Illinois. At this point in his life Alex has everything going for him, a loving family, great friends and a good job at his dad’s plumbing store. He was raised to be a good moral man and his charming personality has always drawn people towards him, especially women. Despite his blessed life Alex has always felt different to everyone else and for good reason, from out of nowhere Alex’s life is turned upside down when a dark secret hidden by the people he loves most is revealed to him. Questioning everything he believes about the world and his place in it, Alex goes down a dark path and it’s up to his friends and family to stop him before it’s too late both for him and for the world.
The (long) snippet
On a cold and gloomy day, in her home in Chicago, Emily Kane sat on
her couch with her head in her hands, crying her eyes out. The last
year of her life had been a living nightmare; both she and her
husband, Robert, had lost their jobs. They used their savings to pay
the bills for a while, but they soon ran out and then took out loans
they both knew they couldn’t afford. They hoped at least one of
them would find a new job to pay off the loans but, despite their
best efforts, that didn’t happen. Both Emily and Robert feared losing
their home any day, and to make things even worse Emily’s mother
Stella had been diagnosed with late-stage colon cancer. The doctor
had told them there was basically nothing they could do for her
except give her treatment to make her comfortable. Of course, they
couldn’t afford it.
So not only were her financial troubles weighing her down, but every
time Emily went to visit her parents she was reminded that her
mother was dying a slow, painful death and there was nothing she
could do to help her. Stella tried to hide her pain from Emily and
Emily’s father, David, told her everything was fine. But Emily could
see right through their act. As she sat there alone with her whole life
falling apart, Emily heard the familiar sound of the doorbell ringing.
Fearing it might be a debt collector she approached the door slowly,
and only opened it a crack to peek through. She saw a handsome
man standing there; she guessed he was in his early to mid-fifties,
with black hair greying at the sides. He was wearing a smart black
suit with a red tie and a rose in the jacket pocket. He had a big smile
on his face that had a slightly sinister look to it, and despite his good
looks and smart clothing Emily just felt like there was something
wrong about him.
“Mrs. Kane?”
“Yes?” Emily said nervously.
“Oh, good. My name is Mr. Smith and I’m here to talk to you about
some of your problems.”
Assuming he was a debt collector, Emily opened the door to let him
in.
“Okay, well, you better come in then,” she said sadly.
“Thank you very much,” he said, still with that strange smile on his
face.
The man walked into the living room with Emily following, looking
quite defeated.
“Please take a seat,” Emily said.
“Thank you.”
Emily sat down after he did, preparing for him to start with all the
legal jargon she’d heard more times than she could remember.
“Look, sir, about the late payments—my husband and I are trying to
get the money together.”
“Oh no, Mrs. Kane. May I call you Emily? I’m not here to collect
money from you,” he said, raising his hand to stop Emily’s speech.
“Well then, why are you here?” she said, confused.
“I’m here to help you, Emily dear. I know all about your money
problems and, of course, your poor mother’s tragic illness. I’m here
to offer you a way out.”
“How do you know all this? Who are you?” she demanded, confused
and uneasy.
“I know a lot of things, almost everything in fact, and as to who I
am—well let’s just call me your guardian angel,” he said with a very
disturbing chuckle.
At this point Emily was thoroughly unnerved by this man and wanted
him out of her house as soon as possible.
“I think maybe you should leave,” Emily said.
“I don’t think so, Emily. Besides you haven’t heard my offer yet.” His
tone sounding quite threatening.
“What is it then?” she asked, now quite scared.
“Well, my dear, it’s basically a ‘you scratch my back, I scratch yours’
situation. You see, there’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long
time now but wasn’t able to until recently. But I need your help to do
it, and in exchange I will fix all your little problems,” he said
sarcastically.
“I don’t understand.”
“Yes, I wasn’t expecting you to. All you need to know is that I am an
extremely powerful man. The most powerful, well, except for my
father and little brother, but I don’t want to talk about them. What
I’m saying is I can make all your worries blow away like they were
never there and all you have to do is agree to do a favor for me.”
“Why me?” Emily asked, both nervous and intrigued.
“Oh, just chance; you just happen to have been born at the right
time and place. It’s an ancient and complicated issue that your tiny
mind couldn’t possibly begin to understand,” he said in a
condescending way.
“Well, what is it you want me to do?” Emily asked, trying not to show
her disdain toward his tone.
The man’s attitude suddenly shifted from insulting to positive and
charming.
“I’m glad you asked.”
He then dropped a large stack of paper in front of her which
surprised and confused her, since when he walked into the house he
didn’t have a briefcase with him or anything else to carry this large
stack of paper in.
“This is a contract stating all the details of our deal; I like to have
things in writing. Please feel free to browse through it,” he said with
that sinister smile.
Emily looked at the contract; it was so thick and heavy she could
barely lift it, and the writing on it was so small she couldn’t read it.
She tried her best but could only make out a few words of the tiny
writing.
He then leaned in closer to Emily looking directly into her eyes. She
wanted to look away from him but found she couldn’t. Despite what
her head and heart were telling her, she couldn’t help but be drawn
into his eyes like she was in a trance.
“Don’t you want to be free, Emily; free from all the stress and fear?
Don’t you want it all too just disappear? Don’t you want your mother
to be healthy and happy again? You want all that Emily, don’t you?”
Emily couldn’t move; it was like she was frozen solid. The only things
she could focus on were his eyes and voice. Suddenly everything
around her seemed to fade away and was replaced with the hallway
of a large, beautiful house. She then heard laughter coming from the
next room. Walking in, she was stunned to see a vision of herself
with her family. They all sat there laughing and enjoying each other’s
company; she and her husband both had big smiles on their faces
and were holding each other affectionately. Emily’s mother and
father sat there smiling and holding hands. Her mother looked so
well, completely pain free and happier than she had been in so long.
Emily was so overwhelmed by what she was seeing she couldn’t help
but cry. She then heard the man’s voice echoing inside her head.
“It’s a beautiful sight, isn’t it, Emily? It can be real, you know. You
and Robert could be more than just debt-free; you could be rich and
live in this beautiful house. Both your mother and father could be
healthy and happy again. All that pain, fear, and anguish could be
gone. I can make it all go away, Emily; all you have to do is agree to
the deal.”
Just as quickly as it appeared the vision around her disappeared and
Emily found herself back in her house with the man.
