How to Determine the End of a Season at a Job
God is always speaking. Sometimes he talks to us with an audible voice that we can hear. At other times, the circumstances God allows us to find ourselves in will speak louder and with focus.
When we think about the marketplace, it’s important that we always remember that we’re on assignment. We hold our positions in companies amongst peers, colleagues, and superiors because God has given us the opportunity to shift that particular atmosphere while bringing those that don’t know Christ into relationship with him.

Enduring Difficulty in the Workplace
As believers, we sometimes feel singled out in the workplace. We seem to become the marketplace punching bag for unsaved bosses and coworkers. It’s almost as if we have a target on our backs that says “I live for Jesus; treat me any way you’d like”. And as followers of Christ, we govern ourselves according to the rules of Heaven, so we don’t deal with unfairness the way the world expects us to.
Romans 12:18 states “If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all” (ESV).

Are Faith and Trust Synonymous?
Trust and faith go hand-in-hand in our relationship with God. But do they mean the same thing?
The last definition of faith on Dictionary.com is “the trust in God and in His promises as made through Christ and the Scriptures by which humans are justified or saved”. The very definition itself shows us that faith is rooted in trust. And because of this faith in God, we trust that his Word is true.

The Golden Rule – it’s Biblical
My interest is often piqued by how many popular clichés are actually biblical principles. If we sit and think about it, most of the quotes that have stuck with us over the course of our lives have origins in the Bible.
Take a look at these popular sayings and the biblical equivalents:
“An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”
If anyone injures his neighbor, as he has done it shall be done to him, fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; whatever injury he has given a person shall be given to him.

The Great Commission – in the Marketplace
Jesus left his faithful followers with an honorable yet hefty task: to teach what he taught and make disciples (Mark 28:19-20). This is referred to as the Great Commission. Usually when we hear this scripture, we think of men and women of God packing for sojourns halfway around the world, sharing the gospel with people in remote locations.
And that imagery is correct. Jesus commissioned his followers to spread the message of the meaning of his life and death far and wide.
