Writing Blogs and more Progress

Right now progress is smooth, I am 65% complete the novella and with any luck I should be done it properly by the 16-17.

Sorry for the lack of blog updates etc, I don't have much to say as I am finishing the novella up and focusing on that. At most I can at least provide a somewhat satisfying conclusion for the series that helped me so much.

Like I said, I really enjoyed writing Those Who Love Monster Girls, but I am also really excited on my next project and to continue working on Monster Girl Carnival.

Really, once I am done I will no doubt feel quite a bit lighter.

Talking to Fellow Writers

I think I take for granted my fellow writers quite often. I had been feeling a bit down lately, and whether it be here or on twitter having a conversation with them tends to brighten my mood.

For the longest time I tend to just keep stress to myself. And not really talk about it since I always thought it was unprofessional.

A while back, WAY before I ever started writing for amazon or money I was in decent sized group of writers. It was honestly the most stressful time, and it just felt wrong.

I have long since left that group, and since then I felt like talking to fellow writers would be weird.

Since I often don't feel like a measure up, but now I think I've become more open to the idea and I really enjoy it.

On other news. I have recently released a new bundle.

Ears and Tail Required Bundle (Cat Girl Erotica) Books 1-2 by Heidi Fisk Ears and Tail Required: Bundle (Cat Girl Erotica): Books 1-2

This bundle has some changes and corrections. Also do not worry if you have the original versions of these novellas. I made and updated those as well with the corrections so if anyone wants to re-download them, they can.

Current progress

Unfortunately, I am still currently at around 50% of the current novella. It's nothing serious or anything like that, more that I got sidetracked with real-life stuff.

As a result, I might not get the 15th release date I want, and I might push it back towards the 18th etc. Even if I got done writing on the 15th, that still doesn't taken into account editing etc.

I am trying hard not to rush through the editing process anymore and give me more time to go through it and even rewrite certain things if I don't like.

Still, I know for a fact that the Novella will be done this month. And I'm planning on spending all day Wednesday writing and knocking out as much of it as I can.

Finding Ways to Pull Readers and Making Content

I honestly do need to write more, plain and simple. Once I start making a bit more money, I may try writing two novellas in a single month.

Even though I know that's not the best idea, it will open up a lot of different ways to find consumers and get more of my work out there.

The big issue is more that I would need to actually focus a lot more and not get distracted.

I have enough trouble with keeping up with deadlines with just one Novella out.

Those Who Love Monster Girls Finale should be out sometime this month, and I am really only about 40-50% done it, and that is if I am happy with its current length.

Follow Up to Yesterdays Blog

Apparently from what gathered it appeared that it was a glitch in Amazon's system that prevented things from showing up for non-US writers.

This is a relief since it means they most likely aren't going to be changing anything.

They could have sent out a quick e-mail to writers about the situation, but they might have just thought that since it was a single day it wasn't a big deal.

Either way I am happy to know everything is alright for the non-US authors.

So Recently non-US writers books haven't been showing up on the US storefront of Amazon

I do not know the details, but many of my writing friends that use Kindle and Publish through Amazon had noted that their books aren't showing up on the US store Page.

I actually have no idea if this is just because a lot of them are Erotica authors, if it's because they are or aren't in Kindle Unlimited (I am in Kindle Unlimited) or if it is simply Amazon changing how books are put on the store and it's taking longer.

As someone who writes from the US I haven't experienced any differences yet. While I get a majority of my sales from the US, I get reads from all over the world.

I haven't really noticed a difference yet, but I'll keep an eye out.

More importantly, regardless of the reason, Amazon not really giving writers a heads up is rather poor.

Once again I want to think this isn't them trying to push sales or anything like that, but the lack of information always makes people think the worse.

I'll keep gathering information and talking to people whenever I can.

The Guilt of Writing

This may sound weird, but I always feel really guilty for writing anything that isn't my novellas when they aren't done yet.

Even more so if the deadline is coming up.

Yesterday I ended up writing 6000 words that was unrelated to my novella, and it felt like I was using the time I should have been working to write something only for me.

It's foolish, I know, but I guess it's part of how my brain is weird. Even more so now that I kind of only have thirteen days to finish the current novella that I'm working on.

April 30, 2018

A New Month.

A yes, a new month. Which means everything is set back to zero, from royalties to the sense of progress.

It's an odd feeling, when you have a bad month of sales, it is a time to start anew and seek to do better. When you had a good month you wonder if you ever going to reach that milestone again.

It's actually rather stressful, because it also means my deadline is coming up soon for another novella. I have to make sure my artist got the information for cover art and I need sure that I have enough money for my monthly bills.

It's always stressful, but I'm going to keep working on the things I need to get done.

On a more positive note. I might actually get the novella done on time.

Royalty Free Images

It goes without saying, when I first started writing I used quite a few Royalty Free Images, a lot of them I had to dig through to find in fact.

They were cheap, and allowed me to release content often without having to worry about artist and character designs.

Of course things have changed and now I rarely if ever use Royalty Free Images for my covers, however this has brought up a rather unique problem.

Covers, designs...those cost money, not only that I am limited to what I can release at a given time. Even by some miracle I was able to write 100K in a month, I wouldn't have enough money to pay all the artist or character designs for everything.

I thought about making shorter content using Royalty Free Images, but I don't think I could do that. It wouldn't look as nice, and even then I would have to start a completely new series, something I want to avoid.

I guess I'm just really bad at business when it comes to something like that.

Also, don't get the wrong idea. I think there is no shame in using Royalty free images, and if the image really fits then it can save you a butt-load of money.

Old TV finally went Dead

It was rather sudden too, it was on then it shut itself off and the soft light red light went completely dim. It isn't a big deal, but it does mean I have lost one distraction from when my computer goes dead and I am unable to write.

I still have other TVs in the house. However this one was kind of my personal one, so losing it is kind of a pain. On less depressing news. I am planning on being at least on 8000 words by the end of this month.

I am still working despite what has just happened.
