OmniFocus at Macworld 2013
I am absolutely ecstatic to be attending the Omni Group’s panel discussion for OmniFocus at Macworld in San Francisco on Thursday January 31st, 2013.
The event will include the following speakers:
Sven Fechner: Author of a plethora of OmniFocus posts with an upcoming book, to boot
Merlin Mann: Productivity expert extraordinaire who has been involved in many many projects. Check out some of his latest at 5 by 5.
Dinah Sanders: Personal coach and author of Discardia
David Sparks: Mac guru extraordinaire. Author of several mac books and OmniFocus enthusiast.
Tim Stringer: OmniFocus instructor, Productivity coach, Yoga Instructor, and more

Announcements: A New Site and an Upcoming New Book
Creating Flow with OmniFocus was released a little over 2 years ago and has met with more success than I could have imagined. Frankly, I was stunned and am still a bit stunned. I am absolutely ecstatic that others in the community have found it helpful.
Though, I’ve written a bit on OmniFocus since, I’ve paused posts for the time being. That doesn’t mean I don’t have more to contribute. As always, most of any creative processes go on unseen.

Site Announcements:
The new UsingOmniFocus.com is now up. I would like to take a moment to say thank you to BluePrint Design who put the entire site together.
Along with the very nice site design, the resources page has also been significantly updated to include more sites and focus on various themes and producers of content on the web. There is an absolutely vibrant community of productivity writers and enthusiasts on the web. I’m certain there are more names and articles to add so, as always, feel free to contact me with any suggestions.
Also included is a more accessible blog section. At some point, I would like to return to writing about workflow using the blog for updates and ideas as time and attention may allow.
New Book Announcement
Since releasing Creating Flow, I have still been writing. Tentatively titled, Workflow: Beyond Productivity, the book-in-progress should provide a nice companion to Creating Flow, though it definitely stands on its own as well.
The book begins with the theory:
Mastery and meaningful work are developed as a play guided into maturity.
Readers of Creating Flow will note that it begins essentially where things left off at the end of that text. From there, I examine the workflow in detail, not in the context of any particular program or system of work, though I do make mention of them, but in whatever distillations of the basics of workflow that I could manage.
Writing the text has taken my creative attention for these last 2 years. Similar to Creating Flow, I at first thought it would be a small project, but then it became a significantly larger work.
If you have enjoyed the prose aspects of Creating Flow with OmniFocus, I do believe that you would enjoy Workflow: Beyond Productivity, too. It should help the reader reflect upon, build, enhance, and refine an individual workflow, with an aim towards finding not only productivity and effiency, but a form of meaning and play within work.
There is no present release date set. Though I would like to see it completed, I am doing my best to allow the text the time it needs to develop.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
