SB Tour Day 3: Kicking it southwest style

Today finds me in New Mexico, aka the Land of Enchantment, which is one of my favorite states. I love the weather and scenery. I was less impressed with my hotel's room service, which stopped serving lunch at 1pm and started serving dinner at 4pm. I arrived at 2:45pm. So, you can imagine my dismay when, after just having flown and hauled luggage to get here, I had to actually venture outside the hotel to get food. Walking! What nonsense. I also had to face the sun, and wow, is there a lot of ...

SB Tour Day 2: It's more phone than camera

Well, it began.

I was up bright and early at 6am today to finish the last of my packing. By 7:15, I was on my way to the airport, and by 8:15, I was boarding my flight to San Diego to kick off the out-of-town part of the Spirit Bound Tour. Because I was up so late after the Seattle signing last night, I didn't get a lot of sleep, meaning I slept well on the flight. That's always a perk for those of us who don't like to fly.

San Diego's a really beautiful city. I'm specifically staying in La Jol...

Spirit Bound Tour: It Begins

I technically think of the tour starting tomorrow, since I'm still in Seattle, but really, this hometown signing was Tour Day 1. And wow, what a great way to kick off Spirit Bound's debut! University Bookstore did an awesome job as always, putting together this super cool configuration on their stairs:

From there, I got to look down on this:

We had a really amazing group--people from as far as Utah, Texas, Miami, and outer reaches of Canada! I read and answered questions, and then the stairs tu...

Spirit Boundless

You guys. Spirit Bound is pretty much out around the world now! My own time zone and a couple more are the last hold-outs, but by tomorrow, it'll be official. Yay!

Tomorrow (May 18 in the US) also kicks off my Spirit Bound Tour, here in Seattle at University Bookstore at 7pm. I'll read, answer questions, and of course sign. Other dates and locations can be found at my website. If you're near one of my stops, I hope you'll come say hi! Lots of fun stuff will be going on.

Ok, off to bed for me...

Spirit Bound approacheth

Well, the countdown to Spirit Bound is on. For fans of Eugenie and Georgina, hang in there--I've got some stuff coming eventually for them. Say, like, Iron Crowned's description! I'll give you a hint: it's about a crown. And it's made of iron. The rest you'll have to wait for because we have less than a week to go before Vampire Academy #5 is released to the English-speaking world!

Here's the proof:

You know how I'm always pushing you guys to order autographed books from University Bookstore? W...

Exclusive VA Book Trailer

The Penguin gang and I have been waiting eagerly for something, and at last it's here. They recently filmed a book trailer for the VA series/Spirit Bound and actually used actors for it! It's confusing people who think it's a movie trailer. As I keep saying, there's no movie in the works, but this trailer does feature a hot underwear model guy, which is almost as good. The video's pretty short, but it's fun, and the site also includes an interview with me that was done over the phone. Phone i...

Spirit Bound countdown

We're at the one week mark for Spirit Bound, meaning my stress is rapidly rising. Why am I stressed? Don't ask - it's an author thing. Maybe just a Richelle thing. Unclear.

Anyway, here are a couple of quick and important announcements. First, if you want to order autographed copies of Spirit Bound from Seattle's University Bookstore, note these dates because I'm going in tomorrow to sign the current stash of 300+ pre-orders so they can ship next week.

*** Today (May 11) is the last day to ord...

Catch Up

I made it back to Seattle earlier this week, but the trip from Columbus turned out to be pretty insane. I've spent the days since then recovering and resting, but I realize I need to keep up to date here on some things. First up, new teaser trailers from Penguin Australia:

Spirit Bound teaser 4
Spirit Bound teaser 5

Also, I've been getting questions about if I'm touring for Spirit Bound, and I realized it's probably been a while since I reminded everyone. So, here's a handy link to the tour da...

Seattle Bound

I'll be back in Seattle tomorrow night and wanted to take care of a few things before heading out of Columbus. First, if you haven't seen the previous post with all of the fun pics from RT, make sure you check it out!

Second: Monday, May 3, is the last day to vote for Blood Promise over at CBC's Teen Awards. So, if you've missed my constant reminders and haven't voted yet, head on over and support BP for the win!

And, lastly, Penguin Australia has posted the third Spirit Bound teaser. Enjoy!

Ok,...

The big ol' con picture post

Well, it's the last day of the RT convention, and most people are gone. My friends and I are a few of the lingering attendees and will fly home tomorrow. Most con activities are done too, and those of us here are a weary lot. After a few days of radio silence, I finally have time to post all my awesome pics from the con, which means there are going to be A LOT. Brace yourselves and get a fast internet connection. For your convenience, I've decided to use headings.

THE FAERY COURT

Yes, let's jum...
