Home from RT
Just finished the 6 hour drive home from Ohio. Absolutely exhaused from the Romantic Times convention. Fantastic week! I have company coming for dinner so I have to dash right back off again, but I wanted to tell everyone to check back tomorrow as I will write a substantial blog post about the conference.
Happy Sunday!

Saturday Snippet
Today's theme is first meetings. Ah, could there be anything more romantic? I love the first meeting of Caleb and Jessie in Because of You from Samhain Publishing. These are two lost souls who were destined to be together.
"That's not a fun face," a voice said from behind the bar.
Jessie turned to find a handsome man smiling at her. Holy wow, she thought as she looked into the man's deep green eyes. His dirty blond hair was neatly trimmed and he had honest-to-God dimples. Inwardly she groaned. ...

This week's theme is unusual jobs and while Ty's job isn't strange, it isn't one many of us will ever achieve. The hero in Rough Cut is a movie star–a BIG time movie star…and, oh yeah, closet Dom! Here's a snippet from Rough Cut, the third book in my Black & White Collection at Samhain.
"Mr. Ransome," the director's assistant said. The annoying woman had shadowed him for three days, offering coffee, food and advice almost every other minute.
"What?" he barked.
She widened her eyes as if afraid o...

Where I hang out…
It's been awhile since I mentioned a few of the places where I socialize and I thought I'd do a quick post to let you know where you can find me around the web.
I am on Facebook. I love new friends!
I'm also on Twitter.
I participate on at Heat Wave Readers yahoo group with the other International Heat authors. New members are always welcome. It's a very fun, very chatty group. On April 21, I will be hosting a special night with excerpts, games and other general silliness. Party will begin at 8 ...

Ride 'em cowboy!
My pal, Vivian Arend had a new release yesterday and I wanted to give her a quick plug. Mainly because I LOVE this series. I love red hot cowboys and this book is jam-packed with them. The first in the series, Rocky Mountain Heat, is my favorite Vivian book, but I have to confess, this story may have bumped the first book from that perch. Both stories are well written, hot, entertaining, and I hope you'll check them out! Rocky Mountain Haven is available at Liquid Silver.

A new book!
If you haven't heard, Jennifer Haymore has breast cancer. She was recently diagnosed and is now fighting the battle of her life. It's difficult for her to promote her new release when so many other things are going on in her life, so I wanted to let you know that Jennifer's latest book, A Touch of Scandal, was recently released.
A Touch of ScandalBy Jennifer HaymoreThe last thing Garrett, Duke of Calton, expects to find while tracking his sworn enemy is the delectable, mysterious Kate. This b...

This week's theme is lost loves. Could there be a romantic theme than that of someone carrying a torch for another, only to find that person again later in life and falling in love all over again. My snippet comes from my latest release from Ellora's Cave, Waiting for Wednesday. It's book three in the Wild Irish series and the first two books, Come Monday and Ruby Tuesday, are also available.

What's going on?
I know it's been awhile since I've posted a blog in which I actually say something (LOL), so I thought I'd take a few minutes to catch y'all up to speed. I've been writing at the speed of light lately, which is good and bad. Good because it means I have new submissions with my editors at Samhain and Ellora's Cave as we speak. Bad because I'm breaking yet another New Year's Resolution. Why do I make these things? This year's resolution was to slow down on my writing and to remember to take a l...

Saturday Snippet
Oooooo….today's snippets are scaaaaaaary! BOO! Today's scary scene is from one of my first published books at Ellora's Cave, Covert Lessons.
Covert Lessons
"Your mother is sick," she said, cursing the weakness of her tone. "I'm going to take her to the hospital."
Juan spit on the floor, his face distorted with fury. "You ain't taking her no place, bitch! José, take Mama back to bed."
She glanced over and silently gave thanks that Mrs. Alvarado had lost consciousness somewhere along the line. She ...
