Reviews – Tequila Truth

Today I will be featuring reviews on my Samhain book, Tequila Truth. Tequila Truth is the second book in my Black & White Collection, a series of books dealing with wicked fantasies. I think one look at the cover will give you a pretty good idea which fantasy is explored with the tequila!

True Stuff

I write fiction. I love weaving stories around characters I've created. Love imagining about different places, events, and people. I believe in the power of love and I enjoy writing about it. But I'm also a fan of the true stuff. I could listen storytellers who share their personal experiences and glimpses of the past for hours on end. There is a part of me that is fascinated by the people who came before me and I'm always sad when I realize that their stories have been lost.

Those of you...

Meet the Heat – T!

T is a unique member of International Heat in that she's not a writer, but a reader. An avid reader! She's the owner and operator of Reviews at EBook Addict and a lovely person. She's one of the very first people I met in the publishing business and her friendship is one I've come to treasure. She's a strong advocate not just of my work, but she is a fantastic supporter of new authors who are just making their break on the scene. Her reviews are always thoughtful, tactful, and kind and I...

Saturday Snippet

Blog-Header-option2-300x87

This week's theme is a fun one and it poses a question we've probably all asked at one time in our lives. Is this a date? My heroine in Assume the Positions, part of the Cougar Challenge books at Ellora's Cave asked this very question herself.

assumethepositions_msrExcerpt:

Rachel stared at the ceiling in her bedroom the next morning, trying to wrap her head around Ethan's proposition. After his insistence that his name be added to her list—he'd waited until she'd picked up the pen and actually wrote it on the damn ...

Reviews – Kiss Me Kate

It's Thursday and that means another round of reviews. As I mentioned last week, I've been blessed with some very lovely reviews and I'd love to do a bit of show and tell with you. This week I'm featuring reviews of my very first Ellora's Cave book, Kiss Me Kate.

"Kiss Me, Kate is an amazing story. …what I loved the most was how much the heroine grew emotionally and how supportive her sister was, their relationship was inspiring." – Valerie

Meet the Heat – Anne Rainey

TRS-Ad

This week we are shining the spotlight on our NEW member, Anne Rainey! Yep, you read that right! Anne Rainey has joined the International Heat gang and we couldn't be more thrilled. I've had the opportunity to meet and chat with Anne on two occasions now, and I can say she is truly a classy lady. Anne's been published at multiple pubs, including Samhain and most recently, Kensington. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our little rag-tag group and I think it's safe to say we...

kissmekate_hiresThis week's theme is apologies. I thought I'd pull up a pivotal scene from one of the very first books I ever wrote. Kiss Me Kate was my first book at Ellora's Cave and to this day, remains one of my favorite stories.

Excerpt:

A deep voice from the doorway and the sound of a gun cocking stopped them both.

"I believe the lady made a request." Rick's gun was pointed steadily at Zack's head. "I suggest you let her go."

Zack seemed to consider Rick's words and for a moment, Kate feared in his...

Reviews – Erotic Research

Lately I have to confess I've been getting some pretty great reviews on my stories and it got me to thinking that I never really share them. I have a folder for reviews for every book I've ever written and I save them all–good and not-so-good ones. So, I thought I'd start a new 'theme' day. Saturday is snippet day. I think Thursday will be review days.

eroticresearch3001So I thought I'd kick off the party with Erotic Research reviews. Erotic Research was my very first book and it seems only fitting that I...

Meet the Heat – Lexxie Couper

LexxieI had the very special privilege of meeting Lexxie Couper back in April at the Romantic Times convention in Columbus, Ohio. Lexxie had flown all the way from Australia and my first impression of her was waking her up the first morning of the conference by knocking on her door. To say the poor gal was jetlagged would be an understatement. She opened the door half asleep in her Australia jammies–a tank top and panties. We hugged and talked for at least ten minutes before she woke up enough to r...

Secondary characters are extremely important to a book. Whether it be the hero's best friend or the heroine's sister, extra characters added dimension and depth to the protagonists by showing how they relate to other people. I love creating extra characters and more often than not, I become so attached to them that the secondary characters wind up with their own books! Everything Nice spawned from Sugar and Spice because I instantly saw the spark between Ginny's sister and Ryan's two best...
