Brittany lives with her Prince Charming, their little fairy, and their tiny prince in a decently clean castle in whatever kingdom the Air Force has most recently placed them. When she's not writing, Brittany can be found chasing her kids around with a DSLR or belting it in the church choir. You can find more of her work at her website BrittanyFichterFiction.com. ...more

My daughter was born eleven days ago, and our house has been a happy whirlwind of craziness ever since. Actually, my daughter is also the reason I decided to self-publish in the first place. I began to write "Before Beauty" back in October, when I was about four months pregnant. I quickly realized I wanted to publish the book, but I knew if I didn't get it done before my daughter was born, there was a good chance it would be much, much longer before it was ever published. I have other works I'm interested in traditionally publishing, but I decided this one would be a good way to get my feet wet with in the world of publishing. Thanks for asking!(less)

Right now I'm working on the outlines for books #5, #6, #7, and #8 of The Classical Kingdoms Collection, three memoirs, and a Bible Study. I'm not going to be bored anytime soon!(less)

Intrusive Thoughts and the Unforgivable Sin Part I: Have I Blasphemed the Holy Spirit?

The struggle I’ve been asked about more than any other in all the time that I’ve spent writing about neurological disorders is that of the unforgivable sin. “I think that words in my head.” “I say bad words about God

“No man has ever truly mastered the way to a woman’s heart.” Garin’s voice was kinder this time. “And anyone who thinks he has doesn’t deserve her.”
Brittany Fichter, Before Beauty

“Through hard times and high times, we will choose mercy and hope and love. But most importantly we choose love. Because when the world seems to take away every other choice in our life and tries to convince us that all is lost, we can always choose love.”
Brittany Fichter, An Unnatural Beanstalk

“Every ship needs an anchor, my lady.” He tightened his grip on her hands. “I’ve been drifting for a long time now. And I wish to never drift again.”
Brittany Fichter, Cinders, Stars, and Glass Slippers
