About Sheep & God +Giveaway (Guest Post by Kathleen Denly)

I have had Kathleen’s books on my TBR for way too long now. I’m hoping that maybe in the summer I can actually get to these books. The covers are absolutely stunning!

But I won’t steal her thunder and chatter forever. I love what she has to say and hope you’re encouraged by it!

Guest post by Kathleen Denly

Hello! I am so happy to be visiting Amanda Tero’s blog today so that I can share with some of the things I learned about sheep and God while doing research for book two in my Chaparral H...

Another WWII Novel to Add to Your Shelf

This book completely transported me into pre-WWII Germany. There were so many historical tidbits thrown in of the culture of Germany, such as author and composer bans as well as the growth of uprisings and introductions of new bans. I enjoyed the historical aspect of this book so much!

The themes and plot complimented the historical setting very well. I found both Evelyn’s and Peter’s jobs in Germany intriguing and influential in creating a solid, moving plot.

I appreciated how both the c...

A Great Suspense from my Home State

It is always fun to read a book set nearby. Natchez has been “nearby” all my life (I have actually lived around it, both south a couple of hours and north a couple of hours). I read book one in the Natchez Trace Park Rangers series and had to get my hands on this beauty too!

Another great suspense by Patricia Bradley! I had fun analyzing who the antagonist was through the clues dropped. It is mildly disturbing to read about criminals who are normal in “real life” yet manic in their passions...

Valentine’s Giveaway for Single Gals

I am super stoked for this little giveaway. Sarah and Jessica are great friends and I have read both of their little stories and been blessed by both of them (keep reading for my interviews as well as quotes from the books).

We’re banding together to give one of our single friends all three of our books–in paperback form! 🙂 Sadly, it has to be USA resident only, due to shipping costs.

A Great Christian Suspense Continuation

The Danger Never Sleeps Christian Suspense series by Lynette Eason is one I knew I was going to read fully, as soon as I finished book one (see my review). And, of course, that thought only solidified when I read book two (review).

Book three was just as good as the previous two. I love, love, love that this series features modern military, PTSD, and other very real-life aspects.

My Review

Such a great continuance of the characters in this series. While all of these books have touched on...

Hope for in the Valley

In living with a chronic illness, there are some very deep lessons God has been teaching me. Sure, it’s not always fun, but I am beginning to treasure these truths God is imprinting on my heart. Last night and today, I’ve really been thinking about valleys and seasons.

When we’re in a hard spot or a valley, sometimes we think that’s where we’ll stay. We expect life will always be as hard as it is today and think there is no promise that things will get better.

But we do have promises.

An Unpredictable Read for Suspense Lovers (with giveaway!)

I am very much a historical fiction lover, but I cannot deny that in the last couple of years I have found myself drawn to Christian suspense. So much so, I think it is parallel to my fascination with historical fiction. I love exploring different authors and their approach to complex mysteries, and though I’ve read Chautona Havig in the past, I hadn’t tried any of her suspenses.

This one didn’t disappoint.

First off, who kidnaps to protect? Yes, that whole concept started this book off w...

Two Things I Didn’t Want to Plan for 2021

It happens every year, doesn’t it? The urge to try planning, making goals, considering things that should be done differently, and wanting to better ourselves.

Of course, if 2020 taught us anything, it’s that all plans should be held loosely and trust in God held firmly. Because sometimes life just throws us a doozy, and we have absolutely no promise that anything will change from one day to another, even if the calendar changes from 2020 to 2021.

But we still plan, don’t we? It’s just in...

Thanksgiving Isn’t Over Yet…

There are just FOUR DAYS left to get A Very Bookish Novella Collection!

I loved working with indie authors Sarah Holman, J. Grace Pennington, Kelsey Bryant, and Rebekah Jones to create this five-novella collection.

A few weeks ago, I did a book photoshoot, but I forgot to actually share the pictures!
