Listify Life – Scents Provoke Memories
I’m sensitive scents. I get migraines walking past perfume counters in stores. I get unscented soaps, detergents and hate air fresheners. This week’s Listify Life challenge was a bit difficult for me.
Scents that Conjure Up Memories
Lilac – reminds of elementary school (There was a huge bush outside the entrance)
Pumpkin + Cinnamon – Fall (I always have a pumpkin pie in the fall)
Cut Grass – Summer (The smell of fresh cut grass is a summer staple)

Listify Life – Misspellings and Weird Skills
Sorry for missing last week. I couldn’t decide on words that I consistently misspell. I’m a horrible speller but it isn’t the same word all the time. I hoped to have a list after a day or two but then I got busy. Life is never dull with a teenager and a preteen.
April 10 – Words I Always Spell Wrong

April 17 – Weird Talents or Skills I Have

Listify Life Challenge – Spring Edition
There are a few strange people out there: the people who love to make lists. Some lists are for to-do items and others are for keeping track of important information. A fun challenge I’ve become aware of is the #ListifyLife weekly challenge. Each week there is a different topic that you create a list from and post it. You can use a planner, a blog, a picture. Anything to express your take on the weekly theme.
Check out the main post for details and links to some nifty printable cards.

Getting Stuck and an Interview
Last fall I thought I’d get more time to write. The time was there but the words wouldn’t come. To help spark my creativity, I wanted a printed copy of my digital story bible. I ended up creating 6 Mini Story Bible guides for writers.
Check out my story on Killer Crafts and Crafty Killers
I also have an interview on Cynthia Woolf’s Blog
Even when you’re stuck on one project, that doesn’t mean you can’t come up with something else that might be even better.

New Site and New Series
Thank you for checking out the new site. I made the change to a WordPress theme in order to make my site readable on mobile devices. I hope you enjoy the visit.
I’ve also designed a series of genre inspired print story bibles. While I usually create my story bibles on the computer, sometimes you need the feel of paper for inspiration.
I hope you’ve had a great start to 2016.

Ugg, Technology
A New Year brings lots of changes. Apparently I was due to lose most of my blog posts. Due to an incomplete backup, I've lost 2.5 years of blog entries. I've been delaying making a change to the site because I hadn't figured out how to migrate the blogs. My current software wasn't compatible with Wordpress so I'd been delaying.
Now there is no point in delaying.
So I'll soon be migrating the whole site and my blogs will restart.

October - The Perfect Time for Some Poe-try
Last month my oldest son accused me of only liking depressing songs. I was taken aback and then named quite a few upbeat songs to combat his statement. It just so happened that this time of year, I love spooky and classical music. It is October after all.
But I will say that I only like depressing poetry. More specifically the poetry of Edgar Allen Poe. "Annabel Lee" and "The Raven" top my list of favorites. I may occasionally read Shakespeare's so...
