Varya refused to answer. She struggled and focused, calling on all of her energy so she could escape his grasp. He moved faster than she could counter and overpowered her, pinning her to the bed beneath him. Her whole body flushed with heat, temperature ratcheting up to a thousand degrees as his hard body pressed into hers and he forced her hands into the mattress on either side of her head. His cool breath skated over her skin and her eyes slipped shut, the feel of him too delicious to ignore even when she knew she was in danger.
He shifted to pin her legs with his. Varya purred at the feel of his rigid cock pressed against her hip. Delicious.
Andreu froze and then slowly looked down at himself. His expression switched from anger to horror, and then he turned an accusatory glare on her.
Varya smiled sheepishly.
She wriggled her hips against his length and desire seeped into his eyes, obliterating the rage that had been building there.
His mouth descended on hers and she arched into him, eager for more as he dominated her with another fierce, passionate kiss. Too much, too soon. She hadn’t anticipated the kiss so she was unprepared for the hit of pure pleasure that flooded her veins. She melted beneath him, every muscle going lax as she sank into bliss. He still tasted like Heaven, a strong heady ambrosia that instantly had her hazy and warm all over. He groaned and slanted his head, delving his tongue past her lips and into her mouth. She tried to gain control of the kiss but he was too powerful, mastering her with only a few strokes of his tongue against hers. She moaned and silently pleaded him to continue, and never stop. She needed more from him this time, needed it to go on for longer, wanted his lips on hers forever.
He pulled back, breathing hard, and his grip on her wrists tightened again.
She could feel his eyes on her but she couldn’t muster the energy to open her own and meet them. She didn’t care if he wanted an answer to his question, or whether he was angry with her or even pleased to see her. Heat and life flowed through her, stronger than she had ever felt before. She had kissed plenty of men to take a little of their energy, all manner of creatures and species. She had even spent three weeks with a fae king before she had lost her enthusiasm for sex and not even he compared with Andreu. His kiss was addictive and powerful, potent. With him, a kiss was all she needed to feel full to the brim with energy.
He kissed her again, harder this time, forcing her lips to part. His strong hands pinned her wrists against the bed, pressing them deep into the mattress. The heat drained from her veins, flowing backwards through her and leaving her cold to the bone.
Her limbs tingled and heart bolted into action.
Varya struggled, driven by panic and the feel of him stealing back the energy she had taken from their last kiss. It wasn’t possible.
She forced her head to one side to stop him from kissing her and the cold gradually faded but didn’t disappear completely. She felt weaker now than she had been before she had entered his room.
“What are you?” he whispered, his breath warm now as it caressed her throat. She felt the danger of leaving her neck open to him but it was a risk she was willing to take. Better he steal her blood than what little remained of her energy.
“I am sure your friend has told you what I am.”
“I want to hear you say it.”
Varya closed her eyes. “I am a succubus.”
“And what does a succubus want with me?” he said on a low growl and dug the sharp points of his claws into her wrists. “I warn you, if I do not like your answer, you will not live to steal from another.”
A threat that she knew he would see through. He wouldn’t let her leave the room if she said something he didn’t want to hear, so what did she say to him?
Varya opened her eyes and looked up into his. They were red again, bright in the low light, his narrowed pupils nothing more than slits in the centre of his irises. She could see his fangs between his parted lips. Gods damn her but she still wanted to kiss him even when she could see the danger of it as well as feel it.
“I wanted to kiss you again.”
He huffed. “You were doing more than kissing when I woke.”
He pointedly looked down at his crotch, as though she needed the reminder. The hard steel of him burned into her hip, teasing her.
Varya raised her hips off the mattress, pressing her body into his, and his eyes closed, a muscle in his jaw pronouncing itself as he clamped his teeth together.
“Do not do that,” he hissed through his fangs and she didn’t repent. She rubbed him again, hoping to tease him into being a little nicer to her. Letting go of her wrists would be a start. The moment he released her, she would try to teleport again. If she succeeded, then she would know that his touch could somehow stop her.
Her gaze slipped to his kiss-swollen lips.
He had kissed her on his bed twice now. She hadn’t commanded him to do it either. Both times she had tried to feed on the energy the kiss created, the heated sparks that crackled between them. She had succeeded the first time and failed the second. And both times he had stopped the kiss.
The more time she spent around him, the deeper the mystery of him became.
His aura was still black, rising like smoke from his skin. Small flashes of red punctuated it though. His desire for her was real.
“Kiss me again,” she husked and he shook his head. “Please?”

Snippet Saturday – Hot Pursuit – Excerpt from Unleash (Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance Series Book 6)
It’s time for Snippet Saturday! Each week has a theme or is author’s choice. This week the theme is Hot Pursuit – Going after the one you love.
This week my snippet comes from Unleash (Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance Series #6).
Aurora scooted away from him and off the bed. Snow sat up and tried to catch her arm before she could distance herself any further, wanting to finish what she had started even when he knew he shouldn’t.
She stared at him, her eyes wild with the panic he could feel in her emotions and the frantic beat of her heart, overshadowing the lingering trace of her desire, and then bolted for the door. She was out of it before he could get the covers off him.
Snow growled, hit the floor running, and gave chase. The lights were on in the black-walled corridor. His gaze sought her, his head whipping to his left. She had already reached the end of the hallway. Rather than heading down the staircase, she went up another one further back in the corridor. The roof. She intended to fly away from him.
He damned well wouldn’t let her.
He refused to let her run from her feelings any longer.
He sprinted after her, bare feet landing heavily with each long stride, and took the stairs two at a time, following them upwards.
“Aurora,” he called out but she didn’t slow. She kept running into the darkness ahead of him, her small feet making no sound on the steps. Her wings hadn’t made an appearance yet. Was that a good sign?
Snow couldn’t take comfort from it. She was still running from him after all. She intended to leave him again and he feared he would never see her again if he let her get away.
She hit the storage level at the very top of the theatre and kept going.
“Aurora.” Snow tried again, hoping she would listen to him this time. “Do not run from me.”
Not only because he wanted her to stay.
If she kept running, he was going to lose his temper and then his head. His bloodlust was liable to make a poorly timed appearance because the thought of her leaving was cleaving his heart into two.
“I have to go.” She didn’t look back. The scent of panic and fear swamped her feminine smell of lilies and snow, turning it acrid. “It was wrong of me to come to you. I should have stayed away.”
Because she was an angel? Guilt lanced him again, running his chest through. He had forgotten her and committed so many sins that her wings had turned entirely black. He hated that she had seen him all those times, and had probably seen him with women, witnessed the debauched things he had done and the destruction he had caused, ending countless lives.
She had seen him at his worst and he wasn’t sure that he had a best to show her to prove there was good in him, something to make him worthy of her notice.
Aurora broke out onto the flat roof of Vampirerotique and slowed to a halt, breathing hard.
Snow felt confusion breaking through her other emotions. Her feelings were clearer than ever now that he had become more attuned to her.
The desire he could sense and smell on her was the reason he bravely edged towards the door and the evening beyond.
She had been close to kissing him. Her touch had awoken him and he had remained still, feigning sleep in order to see what she would do. Her breath had been hot and moist against his lips, and he had come close to taking the lead and kissing her.
If he kissed her, would he taint her?
He stared at her where she stood on the rooftop with her back to him, a breeze tousling her fall of black hair and the layers of her pristine white dress.
He wasn’t worthy of this beautiful creature. Not after everything he had put her through and everything he had done. He was wretched.
Clouds hung heavily in the sky, blocking out the final light of the sun that was now below the horizon.
Snow cautiously edged out onto the roof, not because of the danger sunlight posed to him, but because of the fact he was stepping beyond the walls of Vampirerotique for the first time in over a century.
He blinked hard, unaccustomed to even the dim light, and braced himself as a million scents assaulted him and his senses sharpened. He tensed as the breeze caressed his bare flesh, unused to the feel of it now.
Unfamiliar sounds buzzed in his ears, making him twitchy and cranking up his tension until he feared the slightest thing would trigger his bloodlust.
A shrill noise came from overhead and Snow hunkered down, glaring up at the sky. A jet. He had seen pictures. Antoine took great pleasure in keeping him up to date about the world. Snow saw it as a sign of his brother’s unwavering faith in him and his need to cling to the hope that Snow would recover and gain enough control over his bloodlust to be allowed out into the world again.
Snow did not like aircraft. He decided it as he watched it lazily move into the distance. They didn’t seem to move quickly enough to maintain flight and the noise they made ground in his ears.
He glanced behind him at the dark stairwell, tempted to go back inside where the walls blocked out most of the noise and he didn’t feel so on edge.
He couldn’t. If he did, Aurora would leave.
He steeled himself and took another step forwards. The black tar was warm beneath his bare feet. He hadn’t felt the lingering heat of the sun in a very long time, even before his incarceration at Vampirerotique.
Aurora whirled to face him, fear in her eyes. “Go back!”
She was scared of him.
Snow halted, her words cutting him to his bones and lashing at his heart.
She hesitated, looking as though she was going to run again. Perhaps not. He had the craziest notion that she wasn’t intending to run, but was rather torn between standing still and stepping towards him.
Her eyes swam with panic, their striking green-to-blue colour bright in the evening. “I don’t want the sun to harm you. Please, Snow… go back.”
Not fear of him. She feared for him. He was glad that she was speaking to him again and concerned about him too. It was more than he could have hoped for and gave him the courage to take another step in her direction.
“I am old enough to withstand it.” He continued slowly moving towards her so he didn’t startle her into running again.
He drew in a deep breath and paused, savouring it. He hadn’t breathed fresh air in long decades, and although he could hardly call the grimy London air fresh, it was certainly better than the air inside the theatre.
Snow ran his hand over his hair when another aircraft cut across the sky directly above. He hoped that they couldn’t see him from that height, standing on a roof in only his underwear. It wasn’t how he had pictured himself dressed in his first foray into the world in over a century.
The light began to fade, the clouds darkening, and the scent of rain drifted on the breeze. The weather was about to turn abysmal.
He hadn’t missed that.
“Aurora,” he started and then wasn’t sure what to say. He had to do something to make her stay. The thought of her leaving hurt him, making his chest ache, and he would rather lay his heart on the line than let her go without a fight.

Future Paranormal Romance Book Releases News
This is a new feature for my blog and only my second post on the topic. I get emails, Facebook comments and Tweets asking me about whether or not certain series will get another book, when I’ll be releasing a certain book, and other questions related to future releases, so I wanted to try to answer all those questions on my blog before they ever come up. My blog is always the place to go to if you want to know what I’m working on, as I blog regularly about my writing and my future releases here.
The questions I’m getting asked the most right now are variations on the theme of…
Is there going to be another book in the Her Angel series and when will it come out?
My update on this question is that the first draft of HER WICKED ANGEL is well under way and nearing completion now. I have no definite release date for the book, but I am aiming to have it out in September/October 2013. HER DEMONIC ANGEL came out in September 2012, so it would be good to have this next novel out around the same time of year.

I really loved UNLEASH and the Vampire Erotic Theatre romance series and I’m sad to see the series end!
Fear not! I mentioned a few months back that while Unleash is the final book in the Vampire Erotic Theatre romance series, it isn’t the last time we’ll be visiting Vampirerotique or the last time I will be playing in that world. I’m currently working on the spin off series, ETERNAL MATES, which focuses on the larger world that Vampirerotique forms a very small part of. In the Eternal Mates series, we will meet new species of fae and demons, venture deeper into this huge world, and also we will catch up with the gang at Vampirerotique, and meet many more vampires too.
The Eternal Mates series will begin in 2014 with the release of the first three novels.

Will Hyperion ever find his love?
Yes, the oh-so-wicked lord of the Validus bloodline in my Vampires Realm romance series will have his romance at some future date. In the Vampires Realm time line, he is currently in the middle of his romance. It began at the end of Winter’s Kiss and then continues after Masquerade.

I’m hoping that I can get the first Guardians of Hades book out in 2014, and perhaps more than one book depending on my schedule. I’ll be editing the book together with the first Eternal Mates book when I’m done with Her Wicked Angel and Hunger.

A blistering wave of fire burned up his blood, setting every molecule in his body aflame, and he rolled his eyes open and arched off the bed, his mouth opening in a silent scream. Couldn’t roar. If he did, Antoine would come. Antoine would see the angel. Antoine would harm her.
Snow growled low in his throat at that thought.
He would kill any who touched her.
His claws extended at the same time as his fangs, and the apartment brightened as his eyes changed, burning red around his cat-like pupils.
Snow fought harder than ever to break the restraints, driven by a mindless need to free himself so he could protect the female and by a dark hunger to drain her dry at the same time.
She rushed forwards as the collar sliced into his throat, spilling a thick stream of his blood down his neck.
“You must calm yourself,” she whispered softly, those words laced with emotions that were beyond his grasp as the bloodlust seized hold of him again and her proximity drove him mad with a need to taste her. “You are hurting yourself.”
The note in her melodic voice told him more than she was willing to say. She couldn’t bear the sight of him hurting himself. The scent of blood filled his room and, even though it was his own tainted life force, it sent him back over the edge.
“I am unsure how to help you.” She hovered close to him and he managed to get his eyes to focus on her for a brief second, long enough to see the frustration that darkened her innocent features.
Snow growled, rolled his eyes back and snarled as he pulled harder on the chains. The steel bedposts creaked under the pressure. Agony shredded his insides, liquefying his bones and stealing his strength away, leaving him helpless. He still fought like a wild thing, ferocious and vicious as he battled his restraints, hungry to escape and taste the female.
“So much pain and suffering,” she whispered and he cursed at her again, telling her in the old language to leave him alone, hoping she would listen this time.
The need for blood became too much and he sank his fangs into his own lower lip and sucked furiously on it, ravenous and unable to stop himself.
The angel left his side and he couldn’t track her. The bloodlust dulled his senses. He opened his eyes again and followed her as she paced around the room, studying her every move.
If she came close enough, he would bite her. He sucked harder on his own foul blood, imagining it was the sweet nectar that flowed in her veins. He ached for her blood even as he ached to leave her unspoiled.
She searched his room, her air desperate, small hands clenching and unclenching in front of her stomach. “You must have some blood here somewhere. Where do you keep it?”
Snow released his lip and wheezed, “No use… like ashes… empty of life.”
She gave him another pitying look and then her dark eyebrows rose high on her forehead, something dawning in her incredible eyes, and she approached him.
She stood beside his bed with a calm and decided expression on her face and held her arm out to him.
Snow stared at her in shock and then turned his face away. “Do not touch me… I will taint you. You are pure… I am not.”
She huffed. “I am not as pure as you believe.”
She leaned over him and brought her wrist right up to his lips.
Snow swallowed hard and his gaze slid to the soft flesh on the underside of her forearm. He told himself to resist even as another part of him demanded he take what she offered so freely. No. It wouldn’t help him. It wouldn’t free him of his bloodlust. It would only make it worse. He had to abstain from blood until he was weak and then begin again with smaller quantities.
He had to drink.
He couldn’t deny that dark urge.

“I’m sorry,” Nika mumbled into her knees, tears burning her eyes. Maybe she should have mentioned that she was new to all this. It had been too much to hope that she might be naturally good enough at kissing for him not to notice that it was her first one. When his tongue had entered her mouth, cold and demanding, the feelings it had evoked had overwhelmed her and she had lost control.
She heard him move and then closed her eyes when his hand caught her jaw, cradling it gently and raising her head. He had removed his gloves. His skin was cool against hers, strangely cold but comforting at the same time. It was Winter. This touch was how she would always remember him. He was so different to everyone she had ever known or would ever know. She loved him so much it hurt and no amount of time apart was going to change that. If he had to leave her, she at least wanted to know what it would have felt like to be his, to have him love her. She would never know another’s touch. In her heart, there was only Winter, eternally.
A sigh escaped her when his lips caressed her cheek, following the line of her jaw. Her heart thumped hard against her chest, accelerating with each brush of his lips against her overheated flesh. She kept still, afraid to move and break the spell that they were under. She didn’t want him to stop. She never wanted him to stop.
His hand skimmed down from her jaw to her neck, his touch so light she barely felt it. It tickled her, sending shivers of arousal down her spine and turning her abdomen warm. Her whole body felt as though it was tightening.
“Relax,” he whispered and pressed a kiss to her throat. Her heart broke into a gallop, thundering as he worked his way down the slope of her neck. His mouth paused over her jugular and she gasped at air, drowning in the thought that he would bite her. “You are too tense.”
Too tense in general or too tense to bite? She longed to feel his teeth in her, to feel what it might have been like to be his. Was her blood still tainted in his eyes? Was it tempting him again?
He closed his mouth over a point on her throat and groaned when he suckled her skin hard enough to bruise the soft delicate flesh. It answered her question. He wanted her blood. Did that mean her transformation was complete? She had expected to feel more different.
Her eyes rolled back in her head when a sharp pain shot out from the point where his mouth latched on to her neck. When he sucked again, a low rumbling sound came from him.
Vampires purred?
With a sigh, she let her head fall back and slumped. His arm slid around her back to support her and his mouth continued to work furiously at the tiny scratch on her throat. She silently begged him to bite her, to do more than just take a sip from a scratch. Right now, she would give every drop of blood she had to feel him against her like this, holding her and kissing her, flesh to flesh, and soul to soul.
He kissed up her neck, leaving a wet trail that the chill air caught and froze against her skin, marking her forever in her mind. The point where he had scratched her throbbed and ached, but the pleasure that radiated outwards from that point erased any pain.
“Winter?” she whispered at the ceiling of the barn, not wanting to open her eyes and see where they were. In her mind, they were back in his room, at the place where she had really wanted to ask him to do this with her.
“Quiet,” Winter murmured in her ear and then kissed it. “I will give you this moment, Nika, but I fear it will destroy us both.”

Snippet Saturday – Love Hurts – Excerpt from Unleash (Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance Series Book 6)
It’s time for Snippet Saturday! Each week has a theme or is author’s choice. This week the theme is Every Rose Has Its Thorn – Love Hurts.
This week my snippet comes from Unleash (Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance Series #6).
In this scene, the heroine, Aurora, has veiled herself so no one can see her and is spying on Snow, and feeling a little bit jealous…
Her gaze tracked Snow through the room. He settled himself into a corner, leaning against the wall there with one boot planted on the wooden floor and his other knee bent and that foot resting against the cream wall.
She wanted to go to him and wondered if he could sense her presence. He had sensed her in his room when she had been shrouded. She took a step forwards with the intent of crossing the room and mirroring him by leaning against the wall near to him, but paused when a female approached him.
Lilah.
She looked radiant in her dark green slinky dress with her long chestnut hair sleek and straight.
Snow’s lips curled into a smile when he spotted Lilah.
She didn’t like that look. It was one thing for him to smile and laugh with babies, and completely another for him to smile at beautiful women. She checked herself. It was none of her business who he smiled or laughed around, and she would do well to remember it.
Even if it did irk her for some reason.
She skirted the edges of the room, moving closer. She wanted to hear their conversation. She had to avoid several vampires, ducking around them and feeling them turn as they felt the air shift as she passed. None of them sensed her. Her heart pounded and she edged closer to Snow and Lilah.
She paused and leaned against the pale wall just a few metres from them.
They were deep in conversation and if Snow could sense her, he didn’t show it.
“I am sorry you felt you needed to return to the theatre early,” Snow said, genuine regret in his tone.
Lilah touched his arm and smiled. “Don’t be. As soon as we heard what had happened, we decided to come back and be here for you. We couldn’t celebrate while we knew that you were unwell, and we knew Antoine would need us. We knew you would need us.”
Snow smiled at her. “I am sure Javier was not so thrilled about having to return. I am sure he resents me for ending what should have been a long joyous celebration.”
“It was a good celebration.” Lilah leaned closer to him and dropped her voice to a whisper. “I’m not going to complain about having to end it early. Believe me, a few weeks with my in-laws is more than enough. Don’t tell Javier, but they were beginning to drive me crazy. I was longing to come back to Vampirerotique after the first week.”
Lilah giggled, eliciting another, broader smile from Snow.
“It will be our secret,” he whispered.
She didn’t like that the two of them shared secrets with each other, or the way Lilah kept touching Snow’s arm, as though they were very close. Dark claws curled around her heart, gently holding it but ready to squeeze any positive feeling from her.
Snow’s pale eyebrows met in a frown and his ice-blue eyes scanned the room.
Had he sensed her?
She moved back a step, trying to elude his keen senses. His frown hardened and then he went back to speaking to Lilah. She wished he hadn’t.
“You look beautiful tonight. Javier is crazy to let you out of his sight.”
The claws holding her heart tightened their grip and she glared at Lilah. She was pretty, she supposed. The only thing stopping her from revealing herself and trying to steal Snow’s attention for some ridiculous reason was the fact that he wasn’t looking at Lilah with desire.
Not as he had looked at her.
She had seen the fire in his eyes whenever he had glanced at her and had witnessed the evidence of his arousal. He desired her.
Why did that please her?
She cursed her feelings, hating the way they flip-flopped when it came to Snow. Part of her despised him and she felt certain she would always hate him. The rest of her felt softer feelings for him and was drawn to him in a way she had never experienced before.
Her eyes moved back to him, studying his lethal beauty.
He was large compared with Lilah, powerful and like a warrior, his broad thickly muscled build making her appear tiny.
His crisp black shirt stretched across his chest, the cut emphasising the breadth of it and how narrow his waist was in comparison. He had left the top few buttons undone, revealing his collarbones and a hint of his defined pectorals. Black jeans encased his long legs, almost as tight as a second skin, and his black leather boots wrinkled their bottoms, adding a twist to his appearance.
Only Snow would pair scruffy army boots with an expensive shirt, and keep them sticking out of his jeans too. Even Payne hadn’t gone that far.
Her gaze delighted in roaming back up his powerful legs and over his torso to his face. He shoved his fingers through his white hair, dragging the long strands out of his eyes. He was handsome but radiated darkness and danger. Alluring.
Enticing.
She blushed as she recalled how aroused he had been after taking her blood, his body hard and primed, because of her.
When he had bitten her, she had experienced an incredible surge in feelings from deep within her, heat that she didn’t understand and urges so wicked and dark that they had shocked her.
They still shocked her now.
So had her reaction when he had subtly pointed out that he lusted after her.
Images of him naked and hard had sprung into her mind, immoral fantasies about him stripping before her and then removing all of her clothes and touching her. Her throat dried out and she swallowed, trying to wet it.
Her body quivered as those images invaded her mind again, hotter this time, a vision of them naked and entwined, his powerful body braced above hers as he made love to her, kissing her and devouring all of her, body and soul.
Snow frowned again and scanned his surroundings, and she gasped. His gaze shot towards where she stood shrouded by her powers, invisible to his eyes. He inhaled deeply, his pale blue eyes darkened with desire, and he pushed away from the wall, coming to face her.
