Follow Up To the Discouraged Post
If you've got something funny or encouraging or wonderful to say, but you don't want anyone else to hear it, this post is for you, with all comments screened.
And frankly, if you've got something shitty, discouraging, or just plain mean to say and don't want anyone else to hear it, I'm sorry, that position has already been filled.

I am not completely discouraged this morning
but it is pretty damn close. Tell me something funny or good or uplifting, please, so I can turn the mood train around before we hit this lovely brick wall they've installed at the end of the tracks.

Monday Morning: Here We Go
"You've been carrying Shame for a while now. Shouldn't you know what she looks like?"
This is the type of question that irritates me. It points out yet something else I've missed, some basic obligation that everyone else, every normal person, knows to do without being told. Of course you should know what something looks like when you're carrying it.
But now the issue is raised, and it can't remain in our dialog unanswered, that I am wholly unaware of the appearance of the Shame that rides on m...

Sunday Morning
Spring must be coming. Over the past couple of days, we've had good, really enjoyable bouts of cleaning in between running here, there, and everywhere. It was in the fifties yesterday, almost sixty - the sun felt warm, anyway, the perfect weather for clearing away the junk that accumulates over the winter. Hooray for progress!

Ah, Friday
I am ready for Friday. Are you? I just want to sigh into it, to crawl into bed with fuzzy covers and listen to the rain and the snoring cat. But so did Nadia, and I didn't let her get away with it, so I guess I can't either.
There are all sorts of little housekeeping disasters looming on the horizon, and that's before our 'projected embedded downpours' scheduled for mid-morning. I just need a giant umbrella, preferably pink, with wee yellow ducks wearing galoshes all around it, to erect over...

Wednesday Morning
Good morning everybody! (Picture Grover, furry blue arms stretched wide with the joy of embracing a new day, head tilted back to croon his delight. Got it? Good! One of the tricks to joy, I think, is the unabashed physical expression of emotion. Let that happy get all through your entire body. I'm not entirely sure, but I think this technique works even if you're not a Muppet.)

Got Your Rant Helmet On?
Good.
I find myself ill at ease with the world - there was a news story about how the internet made fun of an old lady reporter for her review of the Olive Garden, and it's making me hate all those nasty people more than a little bit. I don't have much in the way of coherence here, just some jumbled invective about being so darn sophisticated that you can't even deign to enjoy the things in front of you - in fact, you're so sophisticated that there's no place in your world view for other peopl...

Today's Research Request
Welcome to a new semi-regular feature at Chez CB. These requests are related to projects I'm working on, either in my ghost writing capacity or a blogging for dollars thing. If you can help, let me know in the comments that are screened. Everything is welcome, from contact information and leads to your own thoughts, ideas, research and expertise.
I can always give credit to sources, and if it's a blogging for dollars thing, can include a link to your business/product/webpage OR to the charit...

Rise and Shine, Rise and Shine, Rise and Shine
I feel like I'm running, running, running this morning, as fast as I can. It's been productive - I've written 5 articles since the girls got on the bus, thank you, the efficiency introduced by expertise - and that's the thing, the beautiful thing, about writing extensively in a very narrow niche, which is basically what blogging for dollars essentially is - because after you spend a year or two writing a weekly article from every conceivable angle surrounding a given topic, you actually learn...

Saturday Evening
It has been a long, long, long productive day; I'm ready for it to be done with but the girls are still awake and will be for a while.
Right now, they're playing LittleBigPlanet
which is just about the strangest video game I've ever seen - but it does seem to encourage them to work together; they create levels which are pretty neat - they're both currently fascinated, for some reason, with the Titanic, and the levels they create involve lots of racing up sinking ships and ninjas.
This morning, ...
