Cari Dix All Grown Up

I wanted to drop you a quick message with an update on progress for the soon to be released Accidental Champion series. This is the much-anticipated follow-up series to the Accidental Traveler trilogy.

We will shoot the cover photos with a local model (who happens to be my niece) next Monday, March 12 and send them off to the cover designer next week. Look for another update with the cover reveal soon. I’ll post the cover over on my Facebook page as well as here in the newsletter. I’ll also drop you a sneak peek into the story soon, with a scene from the book with the main character, Cari Dix. (Yes, Hal’s daughter is all grown up and ready to join the big kids playing in Fantasma.)

All my kids are back to work or college and I’m finally able to get back into my writing groove again. Accidental Mage Update, Free Urban Fantasy Books, and More!

I wanted to drop you all a message with an update on progress with Accidental Mage (Book 3 of the Accidental Traveler series). I finished the first draft of the book this morning, officially wrapping up the trilogy featuring Hal Dix and his adventures in Fantasma. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed the final chapters because, well – spoilers, you know.

Still, it’s great to be moving forward with the project. Now my first draft goes to my co-author (and son) C.J. Davis for his adjustments and edits. Then it’ll come back to me for a final pass before the editor. Hopefully, we’ll have it out before the end of December.

Thanksgiving and Having Awesome Reader Fans

It’s been a busy month and I’m digging in to finish Accidental Mage by the end of the month. That said, I wanted to take a moment and say thank you to you. Many authors say how awesome their readers are but I know I’m super lucky to have a reader like you.

It’s Thanksgiving this week and you come in right after my family and closest friends on my list of people I’m thankful for. Have you put your list together? If not you should. It helps me see all the people who impacted my life in a positive way over the last year.

As a thank you, I’m redoubling my efforts and committing to releasing 12 books next year even though that writing pace is a bit daunting. I heard from readers like you that they like getting my books more frequently so I’m investing in some technology options to improve my writing speed and output.

More on that in a future email. I might even include a picture of my new writing rig.

In the meantime, if you haven’t read the Accidental Thief (book 1 in my Accidental Traveler series) you should check it out.

I’ll be wrapping up that trilogy with book three (Accidental Mage) in December.

Thanks, What Fantasy Book Should I Write Next?

[image error]It has been a busy year for me. I wrote and released 12 fantasy books this year. It was a goal I set over a year ago and I wasn’t sure I could pull it off but I did.

Judging by the response from you all, it was the right thing to do, even if it was a hard goal to hit. This last 5 months was the best for you, the readers, as I released 8 books since July 1st.

So, I just want to say thank you! Thank you for reading my books. Thank you for all the reviews. Thank you for sharing my books with your friends and on social media.

I’m an Indie Author. That means I can’t do it without the support of awesome readers like you.

What about next year? Well, that is a great question.
