Minority Report come to life?

‘Pre-crime’ detector shows promise - Short Sharp Science - New Scientist


Last year, New Scientist revealed that the US Department of Homeland Security is developing a system designed to detect "hostile thoughts" in people walking through border posts, airports and public places. The DHS says recent tests prove it works.

You Tubing the Oscars

Yes, I suffer for my art, and my art had me parked in front of the computer last night typing my little fingers off. But I did wander through the living room at one point and caught a snippet of Hugh Jackman’s opening number — what a hoot!


Since I missed it live, I’m thrilled that some soul YouTube’d it. It really is a hoot. Kudos to the Oscar writers!
