Thought I would share this. #SupportIndieAuthors!
That one star review could always be worse! #SupportIndieAuthors! #RRBC #IAN1 #ASMSG #BookBoost
One of the great things about moderating the Support Indie Authors board is all the great people I get to meet. I get lots of questions, lots of answers, and just a smattering of everything.(Even had one guy preaching to me…that was interesting.)
One of those great people went onto the board, and started a topic. This topic is something I think every author struggles with. The dreaded “One-Star” review. Me personally, I don’t understand the fear of them. It’s just another person’s opinion on your work. A subjective view on what they thought of the book. So when I send out review requests, while I’ll admit I don’t love it, I don’t fear receiving a one star review. I know what I think of the project, and that’s all that really matters to me.
Some people have a different way of dealing with it. Humor is great at helping to get over some of the bull crap life throws at us, and trust me that one star review doesn’t really matter in the scope of things. These are just some of my favorites from a rapidly growing list. Stop on by, and feel free to contribute! #SupportIndieAuthors!
I never said this author was stupid; I said he misspelled IQ.- Jay Cole
My grandmother told me “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all;” I have a whole lot of nothing to say about this book.-Micah R. Sisk

The mandatory minimum of 1 star is such an exaggeration that I can’t call my review ‘honest’-Nik Krasno

Every once in a long while you read a book that completely changes your life for the better – it isn’t this book though, this one was just awful!-C.B. Archer
The highlight was when it said, “Chapter I.” It was all downhill after that.-Dwayne Fry
This book is proof that if you lock a hundred monkeys in a room with typewriters, eventually they will produce something this author thinks is good enough to publish.-V.M. Sawh
I look forward to reading a book by this author if he ever publishes one in English.-B.R. Kingslover
umm…well-uh…yep, it was that bad.-Tony C. Skye
The only thing I understood from the book was the author’s name…-Uma Mawaery
I haven’t read anything this bad since my military draft notice.-Ken Doggett

My first video review! #SupportIndieAuthors #RRBC #IAN1 #ASMSG
I’ve mentioned this reviewer before, the first time I saw him on our SupportIndieAuthors board, and thought I’d offer him a copy to review. He went really in depth, and all without giving spoilers, which I love. If you’re a fantasy writer, you should hit him up. Who knows, he might read your book as well!

The Ball Is in Your Court–Learning a Foreign Language by Aurelia McNeil
This author provides people suggestions on how to learn other languages. The vocabulary she uses in her book is very professional and sounds as though she has been an educator. Sadly, her ideas are, for the most part, what has already been suggested in the past. There are a few new ideas she has shared, such as information about the Pimsleur Language Programs. Don’t get “bogged” down at the beginning of the book, or you won’t get to the new ideas. * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review* 3/5

In Silent Graves by Gary A. Braunbeck
This book was a new type of horror for me. I enjoyed the book but at the beginning I was a little lost. Once I started to figure the book out, it was good. I liked wondering what was going on and hoping the author would explain it. Sometimes it reminds me of Stephen King or M. Night Shyamalan because sometimes they have TV shows or movies or stories that at first I am lost and then the ends wraps it all up for me. I think this book kept my attention and kept me wanting more! * I received this book from the author thru LibraryThing in exchange for n honest review* 4/5

Escape From Purgatory by Sephor Rud
This book was very interesting. I enjoyed reading about a insane mind and being able to feel a little insane while reading about it. The think the characters were good and it was hard for me to tell what was real and what was the insane part. I love following on the journey and wanted to read more. * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review* 4/5

What the hell happened last night?!
I have no idea what I did, but I woke up this morning with a swollen eye, like someone elbowed me right in it. It frickin’ hurts! I might have accused Sara of doing it while I slept, but she’s away from the house visiting family. Gotta love when the mysterious injuries get ya.

Walking Between Worlds; Book I: Demons & Angels by Jay Norry
This book reminds me a little of the TV show “Supernatural”. The Angels vs Demons thing is very interesting to me. This book kept me wanting to read more. I hope to see more character development further in the series. I would love to learn more about them. But I guess a good book keep you wanting more. * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review* 4/5

Salvation’s Dawn by Joe Jackson
A great story about Good vs Evil. I enjoyed this book very much. The characters were well developed. This book had lots of things I like for me in it. I loved the magic and the sorcery and the strong female character. I think will have to watch out for more books on this series. * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review* 5/5

Black Magic Man by Ju Ephraime
This book was not exactly what I thought it would be. I was pleased to see it was a good book either way. I expected this book to be about a magician and it was such a great book. I loved the characters and the magic and so much more. * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review* 5/5
