Dwayne was born in Iowa in 1966.

His first published novel, Rave On, which Dwayne sees as a romantic musical comedy, is his fiftieth birthday present to himself. His second novel, Suckers & Rogues is a study of teenage angst and is due to be published in July of 2018.

Dwayne is the author of several highly acclaimed short stories, such as Old Pops' Last Beer, Austism and The Six People You Meet In Creative Writing Workshop. He is also the creator of the popular series of flash fiction, Happy Clown Burger.

Dwayne has also published a few novellas, such as the soul searching The Asphalt Carpet, the harshly satirical Very White Jesus and the slapstick-silly Vampire's War On Christmas.

Are You A Frustrated Writer? Perhaps You're Trying Too Hard

I find myself distressed right now. Nothing is seriously wrong in my own life, but it's this overwhelming empathy I feel toward some other writers. I've been seeing a lot of writers here and there today stating that they're frustrated, angry, throwing things, crying... all due to being a writer.
